Not a problem. There are alot of things that people think are wrong..but are just "normal" feelings in the skydiving world. Everyone jsut has different ways of dealing with them. And i would be Jason...lol. yeah man i agree. I have had my page for about 4 years now...and for awhile i got into the whole "friend whore" phase. At one point i literally had 27000+ friends. It got to the poiint that it would take me literally 2 hours to read the bulletins that my actual real friends posted. It took me roughly 2 weeks deleting everyone that i didnt talk to. I have learned that myspace is a good thing..as long as you keep the people that you know in reality on your friends list. Im currently at 100 friends....and all but maybe 10 or so i know personally in reality. and most of those 10 are skydivers that i havent met yet..but im sure i will eventually. Myspace actually caused me to reconnect with old high school friends too...people that i never thought i would ever talk to again. take for instance Shannon. we sat hext to each other from freshman to senior(because of out last names being so close in spelling). I havent talked to her since high school (7 years ago). well..she found me 2 weeks ago so we have been catching up on old times and what not. Myspace is also dangerous....perticularily to underage people. I feel sorry for tom becasue of all the parents that blame him for their daughters meeting guys on myspace and having sex/getting raped. I think that is complete bullshit. im sorry people..your daughter was a slut before myspace...and she is still going to be one. I know im ranting a lil..but it reallys gets to me how parents are quick to pass the blame onto others when in reality they are the ones that are responsible for them. If yo dont like them being on certain pages block them..its simple as that. but again..myspace is a great thing..when used for the purpose it was intended. Ya know..i wish on of the instructors would have told me that. Thinking back to aff 1 that was the problem. I knew they were lower....but i didnt want to say anything. I figured they knew exactly how they should be. But thank you..at least you educated me for future referance!! Your problem is door anxiety. Most of us had it at one point..and actually..alot of the seasoned veterns still have it..but they jsut launch themselves out of the plane and its fine. I had it too on my tandem jump...of course the TI made it a lil worse by holding me at the door for a good minute...on my knees..looking down...lol. Im not even a newbie yet but i can understand how you feel. Im on level 4 aff and i still get it slightly...but literally...the second you are out of hte door..at least for me and most people....that feeling goes away as the adrenaline starts pumping becasue of the freefall. Everyone copes with it in different ways. As once said before...if you dont have at least a little bit of hesitation and/or fear when jumping out of a plane..then you really shouldnt be doing this sport...lol. You'll be ok...just keep thinking to yourself..that you are doing this because you want to! well..me personally..i would like to see people that no one would expect to be in a skydiving type movie. They did a good job with the cast to "Cutaway". I found it painful on my first aff jump too. I noticed that loosening the legstraps a bit made it ALOT better(ehough to fit your fingers only in). This is a picture from my thigh that i posted on here before. I dont get this anymore becasue ihave learned to leave a little bit of room with the legstraps. I totally planned on going to the tunnel..until my AFF 2 jump...when i lost both of my instructors...and found myself fallking completely stable...and even able to execute my turns without any help and had no trouble maintaining heading and alti awareness.
