well..in my opinion honda motors are the easiest to repair. And...im hoping that the timing belt wasnt to orginal timing belt..if so...you got REAL lucky that it didnt break sooner. If its a genuine honda belt it should only last 80,000-90,000 miles. And a timing belt breaking doesnt always casue internal motor problem. I had mine break on the way home from work(i had a 93 prelude at the time). I lived about 8 minutes from where i worked..and it broke halfway home. Well..the car finally died right in front of my house.....traced it down to the timing belt....i changed it out..and it ran fine. Its a 50/50 chance that it will cause damage..luck of the draw pretty much. Im not going to say im an expert mechanic but i know about about the B, D, H, and K series motors..which...if its the original motor and hasnt been swapped out..is the D16 motor which is single overhead cam non vtec. IF you need help with anything let me know. If for some reason i dont know the answer my boy mike has been building honda motors for 10 years now...he will know. There are always going to be people that always see the negative things. I tend to avoid them and just pay attention to the people that positively post. I havent lost my enthusiasm for the sport..or life..i was just expressing my love for the sport..and not being able to do it as much as i wanted to sucks. I agree with you. Skydiving is my way of making sure i know why im alive on this planet. Its a break and a release from everyday life....and if anyone disagrees with that then so be it..im sure alot of skydivers feel the same way. The whole point of this thread is stating that once started..skydiving....at least for me..must continue or else there is that gap in my life that cant really be filled by anything else...being the kind of activity it is. So i find myself, lately, not feeling 100%. There are days when i just want to mope around the house. I just don't feel the enthusiasm and motivation anymore. I'm contributing it to the fact that i haven't jumped in 37 days. When i started AFF..i was sooo happy. I found it easier to get up for work...work was more enjoyable..hell..life was more enjoyable...and now that i haven't jumped in over a month...i feel like i'm just wasting time otherwise. Has anyone else experience something similar to the things i describe? I'm sure ill be fine when i jump again....but for now....it blows! as one said already..you can get a lawyer. If you really believe that your speedo read 27..then maybe his gun wasnt properly caliberated..or worse wasnt calibrated at all. I havent done it but i know several people that have gotten out of tickets...knowing clearly that they were guilty...but their lawyer asked to see the gun calibration log..and most of the cases it was weeks since they were calibrated last. If not calibrated..obviously it will have false readings..therefore voiding the ticket....if its really that important to you that is

Thank you all for the advice and different strategies. Next time im at the dz im going to discuss this in detail with my instructors. Ive had the same AFFI for 2 of my 3 levels thus far..so im going to see if he would reccommend a variance in flaring...to maybe find a more comfortable style. I am a new guy as you can see by the numbers...and i have a question i thought about after watching numerous other people land. I was taught during the FJC to flare with the toggles directly in front of my body...which i have been doing...and i feel as though that is causign me not to stand up my landings...as with my hands is front of me..i cannot open up my range of balance. I havent tried bring the toggles outward then bring them down to my sides...but..i would think that doing that might make it easier to maintain balance on landing. What is the difference between flaring witht he toggle in front to bringing them out and down to the theighs? Does it make it easier to land with one way or the other? Thanks in advance! Of course they are going to try and find someone to blame....and that person is Hans. I know hans as i have spoke to him on the phone numerous times. He is a great person and is deffinately willing to help anyone out. The family of the victim obviously wont get it through their heads that it in fact was HIS choice to consume that much alcohol. Bad things happen all the time at parties...lord knows ive been to a few and have witnessed some really stupid shit. I, personally, have no sympathy for the victim becasue he put himself in that position by not using good judgement. My sympathy does, in fact, lye with Hans and his family becasue the accident occured on his property...even though he cant supervise every single person there considering it is a rather well known and big dz. Exactly what i do! I jsut walk up and down the isles and if i see something that i might want to make later on in the week ill grab it. And like you..if im making a specific recipe i will jsut go the day of to get the items...just to ensure freshness. Exactly. All supervisors know that they dont have the final say when it comes to leave requests. They can say whatever they want...but they can't stop the chit from going to the CO. He has the final word...and very rarely have i ever seen a leave request get denied. I have seen it get denied up to the CO....but the CO's that i have had always bottomlined them. I forget the DOD instruction..but somewhere there is a DOD wide instruction stating that you are REQUIRED a 10 minute break for every 1 man hour of work...no matter what kind of work it is. The only exception to that instruction is when standing an armed watch. I know its there becasue i had to use it at my first command for a similar situation like yours. It may behove you to do some research on it. and my personally...i would go higher than the person give the order and bitch to high heaven. Its not fair that they are only doing it to your watch section. If that doenst work..then go to your EOE person...then surely something will get done about it considering they are singling you out from the other 4 sections!!!
