You are beating yourself up too much. No one is a "born skydiver" even the pro's sucked at one point as someone else already emtioned above. It takes time and prolly a bunch of screw ups. Im on level 4 aff and i have yet to stick a landing. I came close last jump if i had taken one step...but oh well...ya learn. Its not worth getting worked up though. As far as the east coast canopy control course....adventurechick informed me of Scott Miller's canopy control course which is offered out of Skydive Deland. Im told that he is the best on the planet for canopy control. The website is http://www.freedomofflight.tv. I fully plan on attending the course after i complete AFF within the next couple of weeks. well...they arent sky chicks but my girl is bi and her gf(yes her and i are together...im not complaining about her and her gf)always play around. I havent had the chance to experiance them together but i will be soon enough. i dont think they have on here...but some of the guys in my car club say they kick ass...some say they suck...its all matter of opinion

On the subject of family supporting jumping...my brother and i are the only ones in my family that jump..as far as i know. He is the one responsible for getting me into the sport. I am not a parent yet bu my personal views as far as mothers and fathers jumping is....as long as they are doing it safely and not raising the already high risk of this sport(swooping etc) then it shouldnt be a problem. Some others have already stated that life itself is high risk. Skydiving is just another...hobby for some...sport for others. There were more vehiucular deaths that skydiving fatalities. aight..so basically for a jump to count towards pretty much anything, rating, licenses etc....all jumps have to be signed by a licensed jumper other than myself? i didnt compare my last jump and todays jump during the debrief. this post came from my own thoughts...as far as the comparrison between the two. unfortuantely i cant jump every weekend due to my work schedule. and if my weekend off results in shitty weather..then its another 2 weeks till i have the chance. So i jsut get home...and although it was a good jump..i feel as though i did better on level 2 than i did on three. Most of you know that my level 2 turned into an unintentional release dive..and i flew good with the exception of a little backsliding. Now..expecting the release i tensed up! I passed the level but i dont understand how the human brain works. When i dont expect it..i fly better...when i do expect it i dont fly as well being that i potato chipped a little bit. it wasnt bad enough to flip me over or anything but it was still there. I maintained a good heading though..my main instructor which is the DZO told me that i didnt rotate more than like 30 degrees the whole dive while i was released. Pulled exactly at 5000 and piloted the canopy down to landing without any radio assistance. I ALMOST stood the landing up too. I flared maybe 5 feet to high....came down on my feet...was up for a second..then i was on my ass. I know i could have stood it up if i would have flared maybe a second or two later! BUt im off to level 4 prolly in 2 weeks due to working next weekend. I love this sport....people think we are crazy for doing it..hell they are crazy for not doing it! Ihave thought about that...but from reading all the posts about people's gear being stolen....i dont think that is a good idea. Its not that i wouldnt trust the dropzone itself...but i dont trust people. Im not going to store something that could be a very high monetary value somewhere where i dont have complete view and control of it! i would so spend money on hat and hang it up in my living room! You ahve something good and im sure you will get even better. You will have my business if you get off hte ground. I would suggest going the custom painting of actualy photo's....just to make them more personal to the customers you are doing them for. I would buy from you!
