  1. Good luck getting anything from them. I ordered a suit in February and still do not have it. I get emails only when I send them. The addresses I have: julie@matterclothing.com cedric@matterclothing.com Cedric is the owner, not sure who Julie is, but it does not matter(pun!). All I get from Julie is shit like this: "To make a long story short, your suit has been made and shipped since months, it was shipped to our US distributors but they never re-shipped it to you, so we are trying now to get it back or at least to know what happened. Beside payment problems with our US distributors, we have had lotsof suit disappearing after shipping to the USA. We are now dealing directly with these issues and trying to solve the problem for each customer. You are one of these customer and we really apologize for this, but we had no control on the dispatching and payments of all orders. Of course, it is not your problem and you don't have to cope with this at all, this is why we will and are finding solutions now. As we are redoing lots of suits for the USA, we do have a little delay in the wingsuit production right now but we are doing everything we can to catch up with the delay. Your suit is being redone this week and will be shipped asap." This was sent September 14. Since then, I got another email saying it will be 2 more weeks with a lot more bullshit about the US distributor having fucked it all up. I can't even get a refund because the CC I charged it on in Feb. I paid off and closed. In my opinion, if you can get a refund, do and order from someone else. Good luck and let me know if you ever get anything from them. "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  2. No, the one in Casa Grande is closer than Eloy. As far as I've heard it is the closest to the city. Phoenix is a BIG city. Closest DZ to me is Desert Skydiving Center in Buckeye, west of Phoenix. Closest to my nephew who lives on the southeast part of the valley is Eloy. I think if you used city center Phoenix, Casa Grande would be just slightly closest, but not by much... "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." 3. Major fun dropping stuff from canopy. Been wanting to do that ever since I started. Had great time, hit nothing with the drops of a bag of flour, water balloon, or the surgical glove filled with jello. Way off the mark on the first landing. Hit the 3 meter circle on second landing but the wind in the canopy pulled me down. Hit the 3 meter circle and was able to stay on my feet for the 3rd. At least I did not finnish with a goose egg.
  4. OMG! Had not even thought about the fit. I am the same size I was when I ordered, and if they use the measurments I sent it should fit correctly. If I ever do get it, I will have to find someone to alter it in the event it does not fit. The major concern I have is I paid for it by CC in Feb. and since have paid off the CC and cancelled the account since I had about 8 CC's and was getting out of line, so I can't even do anything about the payment. I am stuck waiting and hoping. "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  5. I ordered a suit from a company in spain in Feb...still waiting. Never hear from them unless I send an email. So far, every reply to the emails I send a week or two after they said it would be sent has been along the lines of: Problems with our US distributors Production staff on holiday We already sent it, but we will make another I understand things happen, but it would seem to me that the right way to handle these things is for THEM to contact me and let me know, not wait until I contact them. Don't know what else to do but wait and never order from them again... "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  6. Really looking forward to this. Fun jumps, good food and women in grass skirts. Should be a good time to be had by all. See you all on Saturday...
  7. If you want to see how the reserve performs, why not get a demo of your reserve and jump that as your main? "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  8. I passed levels 1-3 no problem. Did 15 minutes of tunnel time and breezed through 4 and 5. Had problems with tracking and had to repeat 6 2 times. Tunnel is great, but you can't practice tracking, and I had a problem with a turn in my track that I fixed by doing a toe touch to get both legs at the same level. "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  9. This is what I did for my A. First from 5500, then second from 3500. What I also did on the 3500 jump was to jump my first unassisted pack job. Did not really plan it that way, and only realized I was doing this on the ride up. Breifly considered not doing it as I had some concern about my packing skills, but once the got the door open, I just said to myself, "Hope it opens..." and out I went. Was a real confidence builder, that jump. "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  10. Arizona has the best winter weather anywhere in the continental US. I usually jump at Desert Skydiving Center in Buckeye, a smaller family feeling DZ. Always someone to jump with. There is another, larger DZ here, Eloy. Have had fun there as well and, after my first visit as a licensed skydiver, have had fun jumping with others there. "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  11. This is me. My greatest fear is in the plane after takeoff and before we reach 1500. Once we get to 1500, I KNOW I can get down on my own. "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  12. I have only 115 jumps on mine but it has never failed yet, except the last one, a cross country. The altimeter worked fine, but it did not log the jump. I am assuming that is because I pulled after about a 2 second delay and it thought I rode the plane back down. "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  13. I got my B as soon as I could so I can do night jumps. "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  14. Student canopies: Nav 260 for 1 through 8. Nav 240 for 9 through 17 Sabre 1 190 18 through 26 Got my own Spectre 190 now loaded at 1to1 with PD193R in a Mirage G3 with a Vigil. Did a cross country Saturday and was back over the DZ at 3k ft. Major fun on that jump!!! "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  15. FWIW, I have a G3, M5 with a Spectre 190 and a PD193R. The 190 is a tight fit, especially the way I pack. I also have a Vigil in it. I checked the Mirage site, and the combination I have is listed as not recommended? Don't get it. I had my rigger measure me and order the rig. The rig fits me great and I do love the way the bridle is completly protected, but then again, I am really new. "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  16. I ordered a Tracer Tracking suit in February. Anyone have any way to contact these guys? I have sent several messages using the contact page on the website, but am not getting any responses. Thanks in advance for any help. "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  17. Jerrod Glass thought so. Edited to correct spelling in name "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  18. I did just fine on levels 1, 2 and 3. I did 15 minutes in a tunnel before level 4 and did really good on 4 and 5. All of my air skills were great for a student due to the tunnel time, I think. On level 6, I was a little shakey on the track but did pass. Level 7, my track had a turn and I had to repeat that level 3 times before I finally figured out what was causing the turn in my track. Found that if I did the toe tap, this got my legs both at the same level and I finally tracked straight.
  19. I was taught: arch, look, reach, peel r, pull r, peel l, pull l, clear(cables), arch one hand on each. My only chop so far, I was done before I actually thought the steps... "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  20. I don't know about you, but by the time I got my A, I had pretty much figured out who to listen to and who to ask at the DZ. "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  21. Q. Why do farts smell? A. so deaf people can appreciacte them to. "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  22. Excellent article. That is the kind of press that this sport needs more of. "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  23. Thanks Brian. Somewhere in the thread I posted where I got to 2500, my decision altitude, and decided. Had this malfunction occurred last weekend, I think I would have spent a little more time with it, but at the time, I was doing my 3rd or 4th jump on that rig, pretty fresh from AFF and, in my mind, still using student rules. I do not look forward to the next malfunction, but I can tell you that I will not be concerned about my EP's. I was just telling my GF the other day, I hope I never get to see what my reserve looks like, unless I watch the rigger pack it. The most vivid thing I remember about the event is that I really did not even think about what I had to do, I just did it. Took very little time from the first hand on the cutaway to hanging under a reserve with a handle in each hand. "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
  24. My first was Jump 36. Edited to correct link. "I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley
