  2. So when are we going to pull off this stunt of yours? I am starting to have second thoughts oh yeah, as not to hijack the thread. Neener Neener Neener By the time you read this you have already read it.
  3. That would definately be a DIFFERENT DZ. very creative dreaming By the time you read this you have already read it.
  4. But wouldn't taking the Rangers now sand berret and issuiong them to everyone just be slapping the rangers in the face again? Even in spite of the fact that we woudl give them the original Black berret back? By the time you read this you have already read it.
  5. Actually MP's now carry the MOS designation of 31. MP is a 31B and a corrections specialist is a 31C. WE did have the designation 95B and 95C. By the time you read this you have already read it.
  6. I know how my head and neck felt after being on a 5 day field training exercise, 8lb kevlar helment on at every moment except when sleeping. Too bad we were in training and the kept the females under lock and key. By the time you read this you have already read it.
  7. You can't pell Pimp with out MP either By the time you read this you have already read it.
  8. Ever get one of those nice little 1408...or maybe even an 1805. a.k.a. the speedign ticket adn the warning. Actually....the 1805 coudl be misleading, it gives those crazy MP's some power. My instructor once told me there was one soldier driving but obeying all the rules but was still pissing him off. So he pulled him over and gace him an 1805 for improper wear of headgear. The 1805's are sent directly to your company commander, lets the company deal with whatever you recieved it for. Personally I would never use an 1805 in this fashion. I would just tell the soldier to fix what is wrong and drive on. Speeding, now your getting the 1408 By the time you read this you have already read it.

  11. Great stories. I especially liked the one wher eyou held your salute waiting for someone to drop theres first. Thats quick thinking. By the time you read this you have already read it.
  12. I agree, I was fresh out of basic and AIT and wen tto my Reserve unit for the first tiem wearing my pressed uniform and spit shined boots with pride. When i arrived and saw half the unit wearing there berrets wrong adn unshined boots and torn uniforms I was disappointed. LAter that day I found out that was the administration part of the unit, when I was introduced to MP platoon I saw what I wanted to see. The MP's had a high standard for their soldiers. Glad I am going active duty now, but I think everyone should realize when they put on that uniform they are representing the US, so wear the uniform right and with pride. 13. I believe General Shinseki made it through Ranger school just fine. But I agree, it was wrogn to take the black one away from the Ranger Bat By the time you read this you have already read it.
  14. Right, I understand the rangers being insulted, now the rangers are wearing a tan berret so they can be distinguished again. I have only seen 1 and he didn't seem to like wearing the tan. By the time you read this you have already read it.
  15. I like the 9mm. That way i stay proficient with the weapon the military says I have to use. My Dad likes the .45 though By the time you read this you have already read it.
  16. I have read many articles in soldier magazine and have heard many more seasoned soldiers talk about this topic. I have only been in for 2 years so I have always worn it. Just wondering what others think. Personally it does not bother me, 2 more months and I will be wearing the maroon berret. any other suggestions for head gear? By the time you read this you have already read it.
  17. I agree with you on your erratic driving traffic stops. Since this forum was about DUI i was just puttign out that youcould be pulled over for erratic driving under the PC of DUI By the time you read this you have already read it.
  18. Not an Urban Myth. True we can pull anyone over for about anything now. But we are allowed to use that as a rule of thumb. As long as the car is clearly on the line and off 3 x within a given distance which we use 1 mile. I mean, the roads are wide enough, unless yoru car has some major alignment problems we can pull youover for suspected DUI. By the time you read this you have already read it.
  19. I think you mean .20 and .40 and most people that get .14 normally are passed out by then By the time you read this you have already read it.
  20. Another is the 3 strikes rule. If your car touches either the center line or edge line 3 times within 1 mile he could legally stop you. So even people drivign while they are tired shoudl be aware of this one. Tired...pull over and rest or switch drivers. By the time you read this you have already read it.
  21. If anyone ever gets the chance. At most police academies they look for volunteers to come in 1-2 times a year when the class lears about DUI/DWI and the breathalyzer. They pick you up and take you to the class and they serve you yoru drink of choice. You drink however much you want and they give you a breathalyzer every hour adn have you do the "drunk test" so cadets can see what the signs are and how drunk people act and how people under the influence act. It gives you a good chance to see what your reactions/personality is like at each level untill you are drunk according to US law. 1 guy blew a .11 and passed the test fine and drove aroudn the parkign lot in and out of a cone test and you would have never guessed this man was drining. 1 woman who was quite petite was only blowing a .05 and was not even aloowed near the car after failing the "drunk test" with flying colors. Anyone interested should check it out with there local law enforcement. By the time you read this you have already read it.
  22. If the officer was behind him how is it possible for him to see how old he is? I think the judge may see through that excuse. Can the case be thrown out if the Officer had no valid reason for pulling him over? A good lawyer could argue that his constitutional rights were violated in an unwarranted stop couldn't he? 23. No, i understand we will be ther efor along time. That is what we do in the army is occupy. How long were you in, what was your MOS? By the time you read this you have already read it.
