    I completely agree! Airborne School is just something that I must go through before I can start getting paid to skydive in the army. Sounds like you have seen alot of interesting things in your career, jumping out at 500' is NUTS Hope to meet you at Raeford in April By the time you read this you have already read it.

    Yeah, I have heard stories about the swing landing trainer also. I consider myself to be in great shape, so hopefully I will have no trouble with that. I plan on keepin a low profile, act like I have never seen an airplane before. By the time you read this you have already read it.

    I will be getting paid to skydive for at least the next 3 years....I am sure active duty is going to be a blast! I am also excited about attending airborne school, I love challenges. Although people I know that have gone through airborne school says it is a joke....it will be exciting jumping out of an aircraft at 1200ft. By the time you read this you have already read it.

    Just wondering how many DZ.com'ers are/were in the military. branch, rank, job,where, how long, cool memories, anything. me: currently transitioning from Reserve to Active ARMY. E-4, MOS is MP but will be doing something differnet come April 1. Going to Ft. Bragg. My reserve MP unit has just started there 18month tour in Iraq.(god speed to the them) By the time you read this you have already read it.

    That happened to me last July when I decided to pack to pay for my jumps one weekend. Between every load I packed my canopy adn then at least 3 others before manifesting. I am a fast packer and I amde alot of jumps that weekend. Will never do that again!! By the time you read this you have already read it.

    3 heathly square meals a day, nothing else run/jog/walk gradually going longer/farther every week work the abs, helps with running calestenics and if you have 4 months.....join the army. Basic training does wonders for everyone. By the time you read this you have already read it.

    Jim West, DZO of Skydive Greene County in Ohio has started a DropZone in La Belle (sp?) It has a Cessna 206 and a West Wind(my favorite!!) By the time you read this you have already read it.

    Same reason you go faster on a rodeo jump or freefly. But in physics, things fall at the same rate only in a vacuum. Don;t have to worry about drag in there. By the time you read this you have already read it.
