  1. No,no,no,no,no,no,no.......not Todd. His dear children, Lynn, all of Wissota/Gang Green, and Baldwin: what a tragic loss. My heart weeps for all of you. You are a great family at Wissota. That's how us small DZ's keep going. Family. Family that I know is hurting more than words could ever describe. Todd was Wissota. Lynn and Todd let us stay with them a few weeks ago for a CRW camp Jim and I came up for. Two of the sweetest people I've ever known. Thanks for letting us stay in your home with the beautiful Cessnas in the garage. I'm glad Todd got in on some CRW recently, since he was very good at it. He treated us as family, was a wealth of information, and always kept everyone laughing. Yeah, we lost a "good one". This season has sucked & this one hits hard, and so close to home and our hearts, it's overwhelming. My sincere condolences to his children & Lynnie. Aw, Lynn, I wish I could hold you and make it all better, I really, really do. I'm so sorry sweetie. The world has once again been robbed and seems emptier. He was a good soul. We miss you, and will never, ever forget you. Thanks Todd for being you, and someone I wish more people were like. You had the attitude that I aspire to have for this sport, and have given so much to it, thank you. You've not only won alot in this sport, but you've won over everyone that's ever met you...and we are better people for that. This isn't fair, it never is. Hug the people around you a little longer... a lot longer. I can't get my shots I have of him to upload on here right now. I'm pretty scrambled in the head, so I'll try again later. Love and Blue Skies Always, April & Jim Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.

  4. I write this with a very heavy heart. Jim and I just talked to him 2 days ago by e-mail. He was working on getting a newbie a canopy for us. Typical, helpful, thoughtful, cheery Buz. We woke up this morning to this awful news, and it's been an extremely hard day. Buz was an extraordinary individual, and we all really wanted him to make it back. This is a devastating blow to the CRW community. I'm attaching photos of Buz from Jumptown July 2007. If anyone would like them sent full res. I will do that very willingly. I'm so sorry to everyone that knew him. He loved his CRW family, and was so proud of you guys for getting the hundred-way. I especially feel for his wife, whom he loved so very, very much. Blue Skies Forever Buz, You're with a great group up there. We'll drink some beer, and definitely do some CRW for you. Love, April & Jim This really hurts Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.
  5. 1990?? Sorry, I was in 10th grade doing two-stacks in my boyfriend's bed... But thanks for the info. Sounds like we have a bigger and better goal to achieve for the new record above East Troy! Were you gonna join in on the fun? Any photos of your 16-stack? That'd be cool to see!! April Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.
  6. I can’t say enough good things about the beginner CRW camp this past weekend (June 2008) at SkyKnights DZ in East Troy, WI. So I’ll TRY to make this short and sweet! I’m still pretty jacked up from the enthusiasm the beginners displayed and getting to video their quick progression. It was beyond fun! The class was taught and organized by Jim Rasmussen who did an excellent job of it. Fear quickly transformed into elation and good flying techniques. The beginner camp was made up of: Annie Jackson, Nicole Fain, Jef LeRette, and Jeff Dawson. Brian Martin and John Bechtel also got in on the fun and it was cool to see their skill improvement since last year’s camp they were in. Jef, Nicole, and Annie all got their 4-stack awards and already want to purchase Lightnings! There were no squirrelly whirlies, wraps, or entanglements. We did have to wait on some weather, but it ended up cooperating more than expected. I’ll also say this: don’t ever tell someone they CAN’T land a Lightning. Not only did they do it exceptionally well, but also on one out landing Annie and Nicole ended up doing an unexpected PRO Demo into a wedding reception, which was very impressive. When they landed, with children running at them, they waved to the crowd and got pictures taken with the bride. One would usually pay quite a bit for such a good show at their wedding! All the camp participants really did a wonderful job of applying their new flying skill-sets as the dives went on. I’ll never get over the pure energy that comes off of someone after they do their first CRW jump, especially after getting their four-stack award. That same energy will stay with one throughout their CRW “career”, which was very apparent when Jim and I drove home ecstatic after we had gotten to do CRW this past weekend. That, sums up CRW…it really does. I’d like to thank Jim “Razz” Rasmussen, all that were in the camp, Manifest, the Staff, Ravin for flying (and mowing), and the rest of the jumpers there. Thanks to Hoochie as well for getting still shots when my still cam. failed in the air. I’ll also thank the farmer who planted alfalfa instead of soy beans in that one field I landed in. You ALL made us feel at home and like we were part of your family. It’s DZ’s like East Troy that keep this sport going where it should be. Thank you all so very, very much! This is where the WI CRW record attempt will take place Aug.15-17th, and I can already promise anyone who attends that it will be a truly amazing time. Attached photos are: 1) Jim and Annie in a two stack Photo by: April Schuldt 2) Jim, Nicole, John, and Brian building a four stack Photo by: Hoochie (Tim Hajewski) 3) Jim, Nicole, John, and Brian completing for Nicole's four stack award Photo by: Hoochie I’ll put out a small video that I took of Annie's four stack tomorrow. Blue Skies and Keep doing CRW, April Schuldt Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.
  7. Can't say I wouldn't be a bit nervous doing my job with a CNN camera in my face. People have practiced multiple things over and over knowing they will be on T.V. and still make mistakes. From screwing up the National Anthem to a boob popping out during Superbowl halftime...( we can argue if that was a mistake, or a even qualified as a boob, for that matter). Point being: we are human beings. Having the whole world watching you can make a human being be exactly that... a human being. Seems there are more perfectionists on here than human beings. Decent human beings cut each other some slack, especially your fellow TM's. We know about the 2 incidents. Doesn't seem like this TM "lied" or even really misspoke: "Any chance of my coming out of this thing [the harness]." "No." "Never happens?" "No, never." So: No one has EVER fallen out of THAT harness, or with him, so: True statement. Not a lie at all, or even a mistake. You can take anything out of context and read it how you want. Sounds like thats what you did, but it's O.K., because we are human beings. Let's be decent ones. Blue Skies, April Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.
  8. Mark Kruse and Jim Rasmussen will be organizing a CRW Boogie at SkyKnights in East Troy,WI Aug.15-17th. The plan is to do some fun CRW and beat the current WI record, a 13-stack. CRW enthusiasts of all skill levels are welcome to attend. Please reply if you'll be there or have any questions. I'll put out a "list" soon. Thanks and Blue Skies, April Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.
  9. I'd highly recommend Sky Knights in East Troy, WI. It's close to Milwaukee. Have your friend Mapquest it. That'd be easiest for him/her. They run a safe and very friendly operation. Great group of people! If your friend is in the Madison area have him/her visit Seven Hills, we rock too!
  10. When it comes to downsizing: If anyone you ask says you shouldn't be downsizing, or anyone approaches you and says you shouldn't be downsizing, then you shouldn't be downsizing. Get it? That's all you needed to know, so don't yet. It's a shame that some people are really reading this to learn, and you are being "that guy" that no skydiver should be. Please just knock this shit off, as you're being an extremely poor example to students and exp. jumpers alike. Blue Skies all the same April Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.
  11. Thank you. You're a good guy, so I didn't think It'd be very nice to post all the shots I have of you flippin' me off I suppose you all refer to that as givin' me the bird, oh wait, that's probably something else, huh? Haha Thanks to everyone that said nice things about the photos, too. It is a real challenge to take pictures that don't include Purple Mike Blue Skies, April Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.
  12. Here are a lot of photos I took, Jim (Rasmussen) too, at the boogie. If anyone wants any pic. just PM me the pic. number/s along w/ your e-mail and I’ll send them to you. http://www1.snapfish.com/share/p=7641204694967694/l=359720776/g=101800601/otsc=SYE/otsi=SALB At the end there is a biff section. I didn’t include them to be mean. It’s because they are funny. If you can’t laugh at yourself…someone else surely will! HaHa. I love taking photos, but I love jumping even more. There were reasons I was mostly on the ground. I know and respect my limits, and we all have our own. So I hope you enjoy these photos I posted with the intent to make you smile. Thanks again to Viviana and Jason for an awesome boogie. Blue Skies & Do CRW, April Schuldt Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.

  14. That read: Lightning for sale. PM me if you really are looking to sell it, please. Congrats, April Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.
  15. Very Cool! Dave's passion for his work and intelligence both make him the best man for the job. Nice to see that smile of Dave's too. He is one of the most laid-back friendliest/funniest people I've ever met, and his warm demeanor even comes through in print. Thanks for posting that Kevin. Miss you guys! April Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.
  16. Met another friend of Q's who was touched in the same way anyone who knew Q was. It was very special to still hear how Q is still one in a million. I really, really miss Q. I have hard days with it, but I'm so lucky to have known such a great soul. Ah, shit, it's one of those days - I just really miss him. Love you Q. April Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.
  17. Wanted to thank Raul for organizing at the P.R. Boogie. Even though we had a small group it was a good one. The newbies Raul has been working with, Edward and Jorge, are progressing remarkably with smiles that wouldn't leave thier faces. The winds were really strong and gusty noon through just before sunset, so that set us back, as did some clouds. We got jumps in the morning and at sunset. The boogie was great the parties, friends, scenery, beach landings, rooftop condo on the beach, warm weather, etc. I highly recommend this boogie and it'd really be nice to have more people to do CRW with next year. Please think about it. Our group this year was Raul, Jim, Edward, Jorge, Kruse (on one) and me. Supportive wives as well. I'm tired and confused from the time change, so sorry if I sound out of it. Next year it's Feb.11-15, please think about booking it it'd be nice to have more of you there Yeah, I got alot of pictures to go through too. Take Care all of you, Blue Skies, April Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.
  18. I'm a little confused. Could someone please verify if this is on or not? I heard after V-day it would be decided. Thank you. April Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.
  19. Hey guys, I'll try my best to make this coherent as the time change and cold are really messing with me. I put a post out in the events forum but wanted to say a special thanks to the wingsuit community. I'm very shy and you all treated me and my son as family. Thank you. I met genuine, deep down, good people that made me a much richer person inside. Thank you, thank you, thank you. No, not you purple Mike. Just Kidding! I'll put a link out of the shots I got and get some people one's they've asked about as soon as I can, which might take just a bit. I took a ton. You're good people. Isn't life beautiful?! Take Care all of you and I hope to run into you somewhere soon, otherwise see ya next year! Love, April Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.
  20. Viviana & Jason we can't thank you enough for once again putting on one of the best boogies! You guys rock. Thanks also to the pilots, organizers, vendors, sponsors, entertainment, etc (don't mean to leave anyone out) I'm still detoxing from Red Bull, Medalla, Rum (that's a lie I'm still drinking some of that Rum ) and all the good vibes. We'll be there next yr. and I'll continue to spread the word. I think the energy this year was amazing. To everyone there thank you for the friendships, I hold them near and dear. I'll put a link out of the shots Jim and I got in the near future, I've got literally 1000's to go through! I'll e-mail anyone any shots they'd like, too. On an end note, hope this isn't too sappy, but as our flight took off to come back home (cold/snowy WI), I bawled like a baby until I couldn't see the island anymore. Blue Skies to you all Do CRW! April Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.
  21. Very excited and looking forward to seeing you guys again! You're a good flock of people. Very Soon! Travel safe & Blue Skies, Do CRW!! April Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.
  22. Jim Rasmussen and myself are definitely in. We'll be camped across from the swoop pond, like every year, for the whole strech and doing CRW. I appreciate the fact that they've always been very accommodating for CRW jumpers. Good jumps from great aircraft. Fun camping rain or shine. Good food, friends, family and a shit ton of silly string raids from the golf cart on all drunkards alike! That'd be great! We've been going since Quincy, so please bring it back. And no worries J, we'll make SkyFest as well. CRW Skies, April Schuldt Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.

  24. As I recall from last year, you wingsuit fliers are going to need all the cars you can get, just to get back to the dropzone. Just kidding, see you soon, April Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.
