Guess the FBI had a lucky day because all of Duane's family is deceased and we NEVER found any children - the one I thought I had found was deceased when I found her - so do not know if she was his Zona. The only other familia would be the children and grandchildren and great grandchldren of the Uncle that the family did NOT talk about.... Lyman VanBuren Weber - Cook County, Ill. Was with Sherwin Willams paint company as a chemist for yrs, but he had 2 children. His wife remarried after his death and moved to Florida. I never found her kids - the line stopped right there. Let's say the FBI did have Weber's DNA and they have what they think is Coopers DNA? Wonder if they have any of Bobby Kennedy's kids DNA? Maybe they should compare the DNA they have from the tie to the Kennedy clan? Now if that REALLY happened it would be a HA HA HA moment. I was told that the FBI stopped the exhumation of a Cooper suspect because the individuals where going to obtain the DNA. This writer made a pretty convincing case against his suspect, but he was never able to get his materials published. He has never sought to be known regarding Cooper, but he has a lot of knowledge and extensive research. He is an older man (older than me) and a very interesting person with a lot of research and knowledgeable regarding Cooper and the many suspects. Wonder if the FBI would compare the DNA of a possible relative of a suspect (no NOT Weber) to the DNA they claim to have for Cooper. I know exactly how to obtain that DNA and would pay for the test - but I would have to know they would actually compared it to their "Cooper DNA". Just a matter of feeding the data to their computer and seeing if there is a familia match. I really believe that Weber was Cooper and that the DNA information is flawed, but I am not beyond finding the truth. Because of the things I cannot erase from my memory and the things he did and said....if Weber was NOT Cooper he sure as hell knew who was and I stand by that...and I would be able to obtain familia DNA of this suspect person. All of this is just leading up to a movie - and it is not Greys or Blevins or Cooks, it just might be the REAL story about Cooper and the lives he destroyed. Perhaps the story was scripted from this forum, but will the ending reveal who Cooper was and where Tina is? Tina has been loved and protected for many yrs - but, she and the crew maybe doing a movie that will top off all of the books and leave them in their wake...because this will be about the real victims and hopefully it will reveal who Cooper was - but, I doubt it. I haven't found the name of that writer who was killed, yet. Started with the second note book 1st and got side tracked. This seems more important. Attention Jumpers: Help me figure out who this man was talking about. This was 2001 approx. I was talking to a man by the name of Kenneth Neustel in the 651 area code. He mentions a man by the name of Jerry Matwig - with an impaired arm and part of a group of jumpers who stayed on their own. Army late 50's. Was killed in the late 60's. Flew Twin Bch DC-3 - flew drugs and salmon - think he is talking about Gary Hannon (can't read next word) looks like S force or Storce) may be another name. His parents found lots of cash after his death. Rick Swant (not sure of spelling) -sold insurance near St. Cloud and Clear Lake. used B428 Back Pack with T78 Reserve???? No notes as to why he tells me these things. Then the name of Rubin Fredrick - deceased is mentioned...plus the name Linstrom and/or Limbaugh. I related these notes to the FBI in 2001 and got no where. Doubt they even listened...as I didn't understand what this man was telling me and just wrote notes. At the time when I called the FBI I had total recall of the conversation, but now it is a blur even with the notes. Changing subjects: This is the name of the Angel Udell - Betty Udell - a truck driver. I called the number and they never heard of her....right after I got back from WA in 2001. In 2003 I am contact by an attorney in Maine who has a suspect...he and I have also talked since then....his subject is also deceased and the wife thought he was Cooper. Notes: taken from ex-wife in CA. American Legion Convention in WA Aug 30 1966 and Sept 1, 1966. 48th Annual Convention. She tells me what she wore. Now this a note taken from her and then later Snowmman and us talked about this in the forum, but it seem the dates Snowmman found were different than what the ex told me. This is why I questioned if we had the right convention, but Snow's good at the researching. When discussing this in the forum - I did not remember I had written it down as she and I were talking (now remember she often had had a little too much to drink and she would call me at 2 A.M my time). When she wanted to talk I would call her back on my nickel. When Snow found the dates - seems like it fell during a time Duane was "supposed" to be in Jefferson. Dec. 2 2002 FBI Agent Ralph Hope calls me to retrieve DNA. I inform him I had little that had not been cleaned throughly and suggested the Kirkland Clinic in Birmingham, AL where Duane went to see if he qualified for a transplant before he turned 65. Another contact known as Doug told me he knew a man by the name of Bob 'Bullet" who claimed he could do the jump and a few wks later it happened. Carson City - Rick McClure - no note as to why or who gave me this information. Lt. Col. Hayden - he was there and then he wasn't there and then again he was there? I know what this means, but won't go there at this time. Names from the Dollar Corner Tavern in WA. Owenrs - Larry Nelson, Scothe Neal and Wayne Hanson. This was all acquired while in the Tavern which Jerry insisted had been torn down before I was out there. This was 2001 - the crew and I went to find Don Joy an old timer living in the area and a musician named Harry Busick who used to play at the Happy Family - we didn't have time to find them but, we did try. And of course John Snow? No, not our Snow. This was the man who sent us looking for the hermit who knew the singer who used to come in there in the late 40's... I think they were sending us on a Wild Goose Chase. Just a bunch of useless notes. This book ends shortly after the beginning of 2002...as I carried it to WA in 2001. If that was what he wanted - why did he work so hard to keep his past away from me? I found the other items, but didn't know what they meant. Why did he NOT want me to go into that TAX box where the plane ticket was in 1994? WHY did he hide it and then later hide it where I couldn't find it? He was already in the last stretch in 1994 when I saw the ticket - why not tell me then? Well, I know why - because he had not accepted the fact that he was going to die. He had absolutely no assurance I would understand what he was telling me - and he left something in that van, but the Dumb Blonde in me just didn't get it and the man who found the evidence didn't know what it was evidence in a major crime. A man doing what Duane did by concealing his past for 17 yrs and is not consistent with your statement below: "wanting to be remembered as a big shot mastermind criminal, literally the top dog in his profession, by lying to you about being Cooper". Had he wanted to do this he would have requested a witness and not just me...the broad with the dumb blonde syndrome. He had absolutely NO clue I could ever put it together unless he left something in that van...and left souveniers (which I didn't understand until it was too late). Remember he told me there was something in the van and I was having no part of the things he was saying. Had I understood what he was talking about I would have taken that van apart, but I only cleaned it out and sold it. I missed the wallet - what else did I overlook? Also remember that he kept telling me 2 days before he died that he needed for me to take him for a ride, but the weather was so bad I couldn't get him to the car even after we got him bundled up. It was pouring rain and extremely windy...so as far as we got was just outside a door. An army man was out there and Duane spoke to him about his airborne patches - he knew exactly what they were. Duane was in his late 40's and with a disease he thought would end his life within the next 5 to 7 yrs. He had absolutely NOTHING to loose other than his life. Why not give the BIG ONE a try? If he got caught the government would be providing him with housing and medical treatement Surviving - only enforced his will to live and not go back to prison, but made a better person of himself. It was a slow process until he met me 6 yrs later - I guess I became his Mom, as that is what he always called me. He became successful in the insurance industry and then went out on disablility in 1988, but he had renewals and I also did and I stayed in the insurance business until a month before his death. During those yrs between 1990 and 1994 he tried to help out with the income by opening up a little shop - it was antiques and good junk. He had always like woodwork and he would buy old pieces and refinish them. He knew his glass wares well and what he didn't know he got books and taught himself. Oh, he had motivation - a bad diagnosis and broken promises made that were not kept and his one goal to do - The Big One. Yes Georger - he was a dirty old man who liked Playboy. No subscription because I didn't allow it, but I have a picture of him on his 70th birthday - guess what he was reading, Playboy. It was a gift from a friend. You know nothing about Duane's livelyhood. We never had access to any clients funds. No monies where exchange between agent and customer. No monies where due until they were placed in the house payment thru the mortgage lender after approval. P.S. If Duane was an ex-con how and why did he get to vote and vote he did? It was not until the last 2 Presidential elections that questionable voters where brought to the attention of the system. I have NEVER said it was a prayer book. It is a different kind of book altogether, but it has religious undertones...but, used only in making little anecdotes to make the rest of the book interesting. It is a very unique booklet and Tina (pronounce Teena) is very endearing as she makes her little comments along the way to show there is more to life than the context of the book. Geeze, it is hard to explain without telling exactly what it was. I need to find the family members who contacted someone at the river enquiring about books left on the plane that were NOT returned to their family member. Uhhh... Judging by Duanes frequent arrests and convictions he's the last guy I'd take advice from on how to get away with a crime. 377 don't you think he might have learned something along his way. Sure he got caught before for other crimes - but, he was never arrested and sentenced for a crime after the Jefferson "imprisonment" in 1966. Do you really THINK Duane Weber went straight after he got "out" of Jefferson? Guess again - no way! I know that he continued on the same wayward path - but, he just didn't get caught...remember the wife of the days before and after Jefferson talked to me extensively up until her death. The stories she told me were sometimes very shocking to me. He "supposedly" got out of Jefferson in 1968 - yet, the FBI went looking for him in CO right after that. Wonder why they didn't prosecute for the thing they went after? Why did they let other situations go? Why and How did he not get caught for several "other" things he did later on? 377, you are making a generalization and using your attorney abililties to plea your case. You have repeatedly told me that I have NO proof, but other individuals out there have less information than I have. I have my convictions because I lived with this man for 17 yrs and know what I held in my own hands and saw with my own eyes and what I was told by Weber himself. Because of what I do know - I put my life, my livelyhood and my resources on the line to prove it. I have done this for 14 yrs - with no financial gain nor any plans for financial gain. One can plan a Landing area, but had to have back-up plans if he didn't make it to that particular point (even left a vehicle in the area). Choice of direction to proceed in is "away" from the place he landed and staying out of site - to put distance between where he landed as fast as he could...he also needed to blend in. Cooper knew the area, but when he did NOT land where he expected to land - he moved on to Plan B. Keep moving. Duane Weber told me the only way to get away with a crime was to "go right back at them". I didn't know what he meant by that or why he made this statement during the trip and then again yrs later. I do believe it is how Cooper got away - he went where the FBI least expected him to be - right under their noses. Sitting in an old cabin or house on the Columbia River across from the PDK. He went East and South hiding and after a period of about 3 days - he went right back at them. It was at this point I believe another party became involved and/or was involved from get go. This was why the property records for Vancouver during the yrs of 1946 thru 1979 are very important. I requested this information from the FBI yrs ago, just as I requested the Cames/Washougal information. What I have right now is only the Cames area. Looking at that map and seeing the names of the properties was like stepping back into time and what Duane told me while in WA in 1979. I expect the Vancouver Records to do the same...but, unfortunately they are not as easy to access as the other records from the Camas / Washougal area (only a small portion). Believe you me - I am not the one who produce the Metsker Map...but, NOW I want MORE. I wish I could afford to have someone copy all of the area for me dated as far back as 1950. The oldest record so far of this medium is 1974 for the Cames area. There is information buried in my memory - the names I kept pulling out appeared exactly where I told the FBI they would be. I think a map of the same quality for Vancouver will pull out the other name - a man who lived near that river - the Knutson, Neutson, or Neusen or Neutster, or Neusell. Has Tina ever stated if Cooper prepared his package prior to or before putting his Chute on? Cutting lines from the chute he cut up would have been a little awkward with a chute on? Somewhere along the line I was told he tried to put the money into the chute container he cut apart (plan B) - but, did he abandon that plan and go to (plan C ) - a container provided to him by someone on the plane or perhaps the money was delivered in something other than what the FBI has claimed for yr? Best laugh I have had recently and it came from Georger - never knew he had a sense of humor. Just thought he was an OLD GROUCH...guess I was wrong.

Except that paratroopers don't do that. For freefall and static line jumps, the load is secured to the jumper until the canopy is open. Only then is the load lowered. Otherwise, the jumper has a very good chance of entangling with the load. The exception is for tethered bundle freefall jumps, a technique not developed until much later. Mark Mark the jump I am sending a picture of was done in 1967. It was a picture in a magazine - the only thing Duane left in a safe deposit box I had no clue about until he died. Also Smokejumper where taught to jump with loads very similar to this picture. Why leave a Soldier of Fortune magazine in a safe deposit box and NOTHING else. When the bank officials brought it out to me - I questioned - this being the only item in the box. I was not allowed to go into the opening since my name was not on the box. I had his last will and testament - therefore they gave me what was in it. Soldier of Fortune 1994 - I believe the month was Dec. I kept it with his personal things and filed it away and forgot about it...because at that time I did not know who DAN COOOOPER was...that would happen over a yr later. According to Cossey he packed a 28 round into the NB-6. He is on record as having stated this many times and claimed Cooper had a HARD left Pull. Does this information help the information you are providing. I realize you have read this site, but this could have been something upon reading such a large thread a bit of information you may find useful. With the knowledge you have, perhaps you could offer the FBI some assistance in identifing the Amboy Chute. One would think they would jump on this - just to rule out the Amboy Chute as far as the Cooper Incident. What I know about Nylon and Silk. I know you can get more silk into a space than you can get nylon (speaking in terms of parachute quality material). Just something women know without being a chemist. Silk does look different in a wrinkled stage than Nylon. The wrinkles are tighter in Silk than they are in Nylon...but this would depend on how it was stored and how long it had been laying out. I agree with YOU for a change - it is time to go back to the FBI inteviews with Carr - Which one was Pink? The Amboy Chute or the one left on the plane? I was sure the Amboy Chute was pink and wondered why the date appears on a tan chute with Robbie standing in front of it. Someone - straighten this out - Sluggo and Safe Crack both were good on this! Now we have to dig out our old news tapes and DVD's of the interviews with Carr. This is beginning to sound like - Who's on 1st, base, No Who's on Second base and Who's on 3rd base.
