A quick google search yields a Paul D and Phyllis S Schnitzer - but not in Spokane - they are on Apex, NC land tax roll. BTW...Google search also brought up entry from Dropzone - apparently you've mentioned them before. Said "It was August of 1977 that I met Duane L. Weber. On March 28, 1978 we were married in Littleton, Co. with Paul and Phyllis Schnitzer in attendance...." maybe you have more info than you think. I knew they stood up for us when we got married, but the spelling of the name is not legible on the marriage license. I checked an insurance company in N.C. and wrong people....but, I am going to check it again! The Apex tax rolls I have not checked. The marriage license does NOT look like it has a i in it and they would both be in their late 60's to early 70's now. Life is a reflection of time and sometimes the brightest lights make themselves known to us when we stop seeking truths and only seek reconcillation. I had sign off because I keep loosing the connection before I can make a post. This has been going on for months now. New modem and no changes - so it has to be dial-up. The light that went on - Names flashing very brightly. I am uncertain of the spelling just the sound. This couple was in the Denver, Co area in 1978, but later went to Spokane. Can you help me find them? They were younger than Duane and myself. Paul & Phylis Schntzer. Spelling the last name the way it sounds and have NO idea what the actual spelling was. They were going to Spokane and Duane asked him how his father was - something about the conversation makes me think they were from there or had family there. It may have been her family - I don't know. My mind want to scream it was Paul's father Duane knew in Spokane. Paul was about my age at that time - 40 ish, maybe a little younger. Perhaps how Duane knew Paul. It was in this conversation that Duane's knowledge and having lived in Spokane was mentioned. PLEASE those of you who are computer search savy - Please Help! It is not late - not even 11PM here, but I am very very tired. I often have wondered just how far out the plane was when it passed over Pyramid Lake. A New Year's Eve Musing. Ha HA hA by D.B. Cooper. Is it at all possible Cooper could have stepped out on the aft stair and have hung there in fear from the WA/Or line all the way thru OR and into Nevada. Does NOT seem likely, but we may never ever know where Cooper landed. Regardless Cooper did the impossible - he disapeared and NO one knows where he landed. No One Knows how he got away. Like Jack the Ripper this saga could go on forever and ever till the end of time. I do believe I have found a connection between Spokane and Weber that screams - take one more look at Weber - just one more. It will take an archivist going thru the arrest records if they still even exist from 1945 until 1948, but if my hunch is correct and the old file still exists we will find Weber was connected to a forestry camp not too far from there. Would this not be a hoot! What are the chances of this old file still existing and it being the same Duane Weber? The record merely give his age as 88 if still living. The exact age Duane would have been in March of 2012 if he was still alive. Probably nothing exists, but WHAT if? Happy New Yr. - it is only 11PM here, but I am very very tired. It is midnight in N.Y. and that is good enough for me. 1. The characturs look like some individuals out of Duane life. - nor than one. 2, It is NO all fictions. There are some characters in there that are dead on to people Duane knew. 3. Coooper talks about Pyramid lake he tell me as we approach the lake about a guy who live there. He talks about all of the rock in the landing area. He actually talked about jumping in that area. NO ifs ans or buts. It was small area and the guy was indian. I call there but know one remembered anything, but it is a place you have to go to.. I have taken my medication and not thinking to clearly to night. Remind me early and I will see what I can come up with. 4. Cooper had a partner who was a dunz, because he made mistakes. 2. You say the book contains things that only Cooper could know. The man who wrote the book is probably a woman or she wrote it with the help of a man. The money did not make money because it was not invested. The story about the DOG is ture because Duane told me about doing that yr before the book. It was a dog just like the dog with him in his navy pic - a springer spaniel..... No I do not think the author was Cooper it is what she imagined he did or hope he did. Me resent Marla - NEVER EVER! I would never have placed myself in her position - as I am a relatively private person and in 2000 going public did indeed hurt my career in real estate. Since then I have stayed LOW KEY meaning I stay out of the main stream media. She was pushing a book from day one. Her story changed too many times and her memories are of an 8 yr old - I was approx 40 when I met Duane and we were married 17 yrs but had been together for some time prior to our marriage in March of 1978. I do not go to public functions and do not speak in public. The TV interview I had went badly...I froze. The documentary went badly because of JT and I chose never to go public like that again. I felt like a victim - I was the criminal for being married to an excon for 17 yrs plus. I ramble and no one can follow me. I will change course in mid sentence. I also do NOT care about people knowing who I am. When they find out I feel out of place and they ask questions I do not think are any of their business. People can be very judgemental. I never commited a crime in my life, but I know what it is to live under a microscope. I have sought only to find the truth about Duane and his life. I am not vindictive about it and I am a logical common sense type of person. I am not trying to profit with the story my husband left me with. I would hope it might help others like him and to figure out what made him change - I could build my own ego and say it was me. MAYBE it was - I was NOT like other women he had known - I am different and I am NOT a social animal - I like my privacy and I like things one on one. All I ever needed was a couple of good friends with my spouse being one of those best friends. I didn't have 3 surgeries in 11 months for NO reason what so ever. I am looking at a 4th and probably a 5th if they decide I am even a surgical candidate. I have had a few good days recently - doesn't mean I am NOT in PAIN...and doesn't mean I don't have some serious problems! Do you know what Adult Celiacs is and a disease call Carcinoid Sydrome? For yrs I did the flushings and had the horrid rashes and abdominal pains - NO one found any answers until 3 days before my last husband died in 2007. I hope this answers your horrifically insenstive question! The Celiacs can be controlled but the carcinoid flushing/syndrome may remain and 80% of adult onset individuals end up with cancer in one of it forms in vital organs of the body within 5 yrs. I will be going down for a 4th and I am tired of surgeries and I do not know how much more my body can take. I am not even sure I am a surgical candiate and won't know until more tests are run. I really don't want to have another surgery....because I feel I will end up in a nursing home and I am NOT a nursing home candiate. I have extreme allergies to perfumes, colognes, aftershaves, cleaning chemicals, deodorizors and a multitude of things plus an extremely unfriendly diet. This surgery will require rehab - and the rehab will and cannot make the other patients not wear scents. Rehab in my home cannot be done because of the intensive nature of it. You have NO idea how many time I have tried to post this tonight and it keeps coming back - Post Deleted: So I am doing a copy and paste like Sluggo taught me to do. I do not know what kind of answer you are looking for. I am searching for truths - about Duane L. Weber and ALL of his aliases. I want to know how and why he was able to tell me things about this crime - one would only know if they were there and/or had read every article and book and done a tremendous amount of research on...research that was only possible since 1995. Duane did not use a computer and he had NO way to do the research he would have had to have done. They were little things, but things I did NOT find in my inititial searches of books and news articles. Examples of the only source he would have had available to him. Take for example the book I mentioned earlier. Ha Ha Ha by D.B. Cooper. Are you aware there are many things in that book published in 1983 that could ONLY have been known by Cooper? Bet you didn't know this. Definitely the story is fiction, but some of the information was not PUBLIC in 1983. I have the pages folded, but not the paragraphs highlighted. I will try to do this before all is said and done and also try to find where the story was told about the co-pilot (in Blevins defense that statement has been made before...I read it and even found it at one time I thought for the thread and posted the page and book or article). It could have come from The Vegan. The 2 part article in the Vega was HIJACKED (plagerized)from another article in a London magazine written by Sumner (an American journalist and media person) - who was convinced Coffelt committed the crime. The Vegan actual was plagerizim on the part of Coffelt's accomplice's son after the fact - I think Bryant was his name. I am starting to loose words and names so please forgive me if I do not have all of this correct. I am not sure how to answer what seems to be your prime question. I will assure you I did NOT go public without reservations. It took quiet a lot from me and my life to go public, but I was left with NO choice if I was to get answers. I needed answers and all I have found are more unanswered questions - but with an even greater conviction Duane was Cooper or he sure as hell knew who was. Frankly, YES - I believe Duane Weber was Cooper....and if by chance he wasn't - I want to see definitive proof WHO Cooper was. THERE is no way in this world of technology this crime has gone unsolved in 41 yrs - that Cooper vanished without one iota of evidence. There is only one way! Cooper either died and was buried by Duane or Duane was Cooper. The strange things Duane told me - things that were NOT common knowledge about the crime or about Cooper. Such as a scar on one of Cooper's hands! Never mentioned that I am aware of by the media. The things I found along the way in these 18 yrs have only added to my convictions. I knew when Vickie showed up - I had heard that story before. Not just read it or heard it - but I was told about it. WHY not for one moment did I ever doubt Vickie's suspicions. Cons tell other cons stories but Duane was NOT in prison after 1968 and he was not associating with known criminals although you can bet he did some crimes for which he did NOT get caught. I tried my best to find a connection between these two guys - such as where would they have known each other from and how their lives may have intersected. No arrest records coincided - no imprisonments coincided - nothing to link the 2 men - perhaps because there wasn't anything to link other than a news article Duane read and a comment he would make about the article. Not important just another little thing in the past. Duane told me "I knew that man". I got the impression it was in the KS days, but he added a little something. No reason for me to even give it a thought until Vickie showed up here - NONE. I have refrained from asking Vickie personal questions about her father and friends of her fathers and mothers - but maybe I should....that damn convertible has bugged me ever since she told the story - on this thread. Frankly I think there may be a connection - another man just disappears. We discussed all of these things, but I have not until tonight admitted that Vickie's story was NOT foreign to me, but who would have believed me - NOT ONE DAMN SOUL! Now I just don't give a damn what anyone thinks about me and just want the truths that have been hidden for way to long to surface. How do you want me to answer your question? I am answering it the only way I know how and that is to continue to seek and to look and to search for the answers as to why? Why would he tell me this and why would the things in our marriage add up over the yrs to provide the answers. Your wife comes from the same neck of the woods as I do! Jo, That KY Cornbread Mafia crime was all about money. If pot is legal the profit and prices go waaaay down. And so does the interest of organized crime in the trade. 377 Maybe so - but to me crime, booze and drugs (which includes POT) all seem to tied up in a package. If Tobacco was not legal then I would never have smoked my first cigarette. The same will be true for the future generations of young people....just because it is legal they feel it is OK to try it. Pot like Tobacco is addictive. First it was tobacco, then alchohol and then marijuan and soon it will be coke and worst drugs. Making these substances legal does NOT do anything to fix crime. Alcohol, drugs and marijuan destroy lives and minds - the legal prescription drugs are over prescribed and I have been glad to see measures taken regarding this - it is about time. Now, one cannot have multiple Dr.s prescribing a medication and the druggist has to get ID's before filling the drug. When you recieve a narcotic script from the Dr. - you have to show ID and they make a copy of your drivers license. That is how it is here now. It is about time. If one needs pain medications due to a health issue - they should not be denied this - but using multiple Drs. is. Why I only let my family physician write my scripts. When I had surgery I immediately reported this to him and he made it part of my drug file. If the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing then you have a serious problem. I do not remember the point the communciation came in, but we had already gone thru Laramie and was into the plaines area. Just lots of flat land....because I remember looking around trying to figure out where the hell it came from - we basically had the highway to ourselves - do not remember the time of day, but before noon. We left Ft. Collins, Co that morning to work the Green River/Rock Springs leads. We would need to check in after 1 PM and I would start to work the phone for appointments while he went to the bank and mortgage company to let them know we were in town to work the write-ins. We made sure to do this so if anyone contacted the local loan depts or their bank they knew who we where and that we were legitimate. The insurance company was not affiliated with the loan corps or the banks, but authorized to place Mortgage protection programs into the house payment. This was a term policy to pay off the loan in the event of death and in some state disability to make the house payment. Fair Question. Well, where do we start? What am I getting out of the search? I have proven the FBI never disclosed all it knew about Weber - why I don't know! I have learned things about Weber I nor the FBI knew. As for my using Mrs. D.B.Cooper and other such titles - it was a way of finding information without revealing my personal information. Started doing that before I went public in 2000. I did what the FBI told me for the 1st 2 yrs (1996 and 1997). That ended with the letter dated 1998 from the FBI and I started to dig in anyway I could for information about Duane and about Cooper. After the letter I let the FBI know I had NEVER seen any colored composites of Cooper and all I had found on the Ben Gazarra look-alike composite had been the size of a postage stamps in blk and wht. digitized...just dots on paper. The agent sent me color copies of these and that was the day of NO RETURN. My daughter was there when they arrived and I hit the ground in the middle of the yard - all I could do was hold up the pictures and say "Look! look! JO is only high on LIFE - period. Just to be alive and still walking around - although maybe not for long. As for Spokane WHAT do you not understand about NOT being able to travel. I would give my eye teeth to make that trip myself, but then maybe I have false teeth! Believe I made it very plain that I would not be able to make a trip to Spokane due to my over-all general health. Do you know where Cheyenne and Rock Springs is in Montana? Well, I don't either! Maybe in that state north of CO and West of ID! Perhaps you need to use a map. The road is flat and long with nothing on it - 1979. Jo, It takes some gall for you to make such a statement about Georger. You probably don't have the slightest idea of who he is. Seems that is the direction the thread is taking lately. Think I will just fill out the forms I received in the mail with Copies to the FBI. At least it might be productive. Nor have I ever claimed the "records" on Duane's fradulent enlistment in the Army were "false". I have stated that it would require some lawyers and a judge or two to determine Duane's "legal" status while he was in the Army during that fradulent enlistment. Exactly WHY none of you GUYS get me! I have a DRY sense of humor and unless you are infront of me YOU will not get the joke. My eyes are always the dead give away, but individuals have been known to take me serious and they also do NOT listen to what I say. Example: A weed eater (one you use in your yard) kicks the bucket. The operator out of sheer anger throws it in the garbage and make this statement! "They Shoot Dead Horses, don't they!" A man who was young and able bodied is sitting on a porch across the street calls the police. The woman working in her yard was elderly and frail. He sits there watching her fumble with the weed eater and trying to fix it with numerous trips to the garage for tools and supplies. Yet, when she makes the statement "They SHOOT DEAD Horses, Don't they?" he calls the police. I call this lack of judgement and failure to listen to what one is saying or even to assemblate information as viewed and heard. You can't kill a DEAD horse - all you do is put a bullet into it to be sure it is dead before you pull out equipment to dig the very large hole in the pasture in which to bury the horse. The last thing a farmer wants to do is dig the hole and roll the horse in and it bolt to its feet...has been known to happen! Yrs ago we didn't have stethoscopes nor able to summon a vet when an animal went down. You left it for a while but rather than attract the vultures and other varmint - when the animal was down for awhile - you did the bullet thing if there was no sign of life and the animal's body temperature had dropped.
