His American wife I have lost contact with, but she had surgery the last time we spoke a couple of yrs ago. I haven't tried to email him in ages - as it always went thur his American Wife before - a name on her acct. Why do you ask? The inconsistencies you find are NO different than your OWN inconsistency in posting on the subject. NO one ever says the same thing the same way. It depends on the response they are making and to what. ANY idiot know that. Frankly I have been pretty damn consistent. You could NOT even attempt to keep up with me. If I had the time I could go back to your posts here and other places and do the same thing, but my time is more valuable than picking apart you posts. They made no attempt until the files had been destroyed to check out Jefferson and Duane's connections to Jefferson outside of the prison. It was TOO embarrassing for the Federal Gov to admit that Jefferson had a shady past and was involved in the misuse of many files and prisoners and manpower. See what happens when you make me mad! Jefferson was a HELL HOLE and you know it. The criminal activities conducted from that prison are known. Malone tried to tell the world - but prison had done him in. I didn't find Malone until 3 months after he died....but, the FBI could have found him in 1996. All of the conflicting information I got when I contacted the prison was terrible and then Carr states Weber's criminal record on this thread AFTER the back files had been destroyed on Jefferson. That was very very deliberate. Come and listen and read - I was told Weber was NOT ever a resident...then they reduce it to a public file that shows Weber/Collins - and that did NOT explain WHY the COMMUTATION OF SENTENCE WAS GRANTED TO JOHN COLLINS AND NOT AKA DUANE L. Below is how myths are born by those who did NOT do any research by reading the books. Skip the IMO because I DO NOT have a clue what it means. The description you give as Florences - was extricated by a TV program and an artist who WAS NOT a forensic artist. The crew was perplexed with the program and having dealt with such a program myself - I can tell you THEY do WHAT the hell they want to do. Accuracy is not their goal! She was trying to describe a peak in the hair line and GAVE up because she could NOT make the TV artist understand what she was describing. I believe that program was the last time any of them went public. My own experience was the same and I swore I would never go where I could NOT defend myself and have some control over what someone made out of my words or what I was trying to say. The photo shown to Florence was over a cell and over dinner at a pretty noisy place. The media never had the pictures that needed to be shown. Have you seen the Kenny look-alike? Well it is here - find it yourself. Did you look at the 1971 photo of Duane - his hair is very dark without a bit of grey. The wife admitted to having dyed his hair on more than one occassion. Duane's hair would appear to have a part and he was able to part his hair with product in it. Most of the time it was just slightly to one side, but without a specific part. This is evident if YOU study the photo objectively. Take a good look at the orange sweater picture I posted recently.] Are you a forensic artist or profiler? No you have no formal training in such subjects - nor do I. You are a good example of a home brewed analyist and artist and composite expert. Do not know how much was on DZ prior to the 2 threads. I viewed some of them over the yrs, but they had already closed when I first came here...hence why I would pop in on any thread that mentioned Cooper. Frankly I never went to the DEAD Zone - to check out ALL of the Dead Threadzzzz! If certain individuals (not you) would stop MOCKING me or twisting things I would have NO reason to post. I hate to see the Cooper case and all that has been acquired and set straight by so many real researchers through out the yrs here at DZ be destroyed by guys who just want to stir the pot. THE Pot Stirring by those who have NEVER done the research and have not been involved for yrs ends up creating myths that just are NOT true. I have seen innocent statements made that months and yrs later are twisted into something that no longer resembles what was proven by more than one person....and a lot of it was Documented, by Sluggo and others. These are questions I want answers to. We know he got up to put the chute on. We know he got up when the money came on board. We know he got Giddy. We have never been told if Cooper gave the note to Flo standing or sitting. We know he was up moving around AFTER the passengers were released. I want to know the minutes from the time Flo got the note until the time Tina went to the cabin to stay. This is something that HAS NOT been discussed because it is not in the report on the FBI site. When was he standing and when was he sitting while the passengers were on board? How much of Cooper's movements did the passengers and crew actually see AFTER the note was handed to Flo? If the answers are there in the FBI files made public - please see that they are posted. Anyone - Any BODY - why has this NEVER been discussed? WHERE in the FBI FILES does it state anything about Cooper seen standing or walking AFTER he boarded the plane. NO one would have paid much attention to someone moving about the boarding area - just another passenger. The ticket agent had not reason to remember him. The Crew would have been alert to any movements made by Cooper after the passing of the note. What does the REPORT state about this? Did Cooper ACTUALLY go to the bathroom and did HE actually walk out the way Alice is said to have told Gray. I had NEVER heard this story until Gray mentioned it to me. I do not know if he included this in his book. I have NEVER read the detailed minutes taken by the FBI when they interviewed the Witnesses. Surely such MINUTES exist. Take NOTE FBI: IF NOT - WHY HAVE THESE NOT BEEN RELEASED TO THE PUBLIC AS THOSE MINUTES MAY HOLD THE VERY DETAIL THAT COULD HAVE HELPED A RELATIVE OR FRIEND ID COOPER? The secrecy of the files after all of these yrs is absurd! If those minutes have NOT been released - WHY? To withhold information after 10 yrs that might help ID Cooper - well, there had to be more to it than what the FBI has ever admitted! The FBI withholding critical information after 10 yrs! Absurd what you just said. I am not interested in taking my story anywhere and I know there are ways to do so - I choose NOT to do so....been there done that. What I was trying to say: The way Robert99 treated MY Question would deter ANYONE from approaching the FBI about a suspect! His ANSWER is typical of FBI tactics! At least the FBI I have had the displeasure to speak with on the phone. The only one who acted like he cared was the 1st Agent who came to my home to see what I had called the FBI about. It has taken a lot of courage for me to post this pic. But since I NO longer look like that I figured what harm would it do? At least you guys will know I really do exist. I am especially interested in response from the pic with the ORANGE sweater/vest thing Weber had on. I know the photo was after 1969 and before 1972. That is all I know about that pic. His wife was with him in the pic and I cropped her out. I was told the pic was made in N.C. or S.C. - really do NOT remember. The ex-wife sent the pic with the oranges sweater YRS ago. Note my hair is curly and in the pic I am attaching I was starting to gray and use product on my hair. The product made my hair more managable and relaxed the curls. The area the pic was made in was DRY and not humid like it is in FL. Now you know what Duane and I looked like as a couple. Duane CLEANED UP mighty nice don't you think? What pics I have seen from his past - baggy pants and dressed what I considered rather poorly....I never knew the man in the old pictures. Whatever he was prior to my meeting him - well, it is what it is. He had some mannerism I criticized him about....but, it only took my saying I felt his actions or verbage was inappropriate. He was on his BEST behaviour when we met, but as a relationship formed, a few of what should have been "hints" to me of his past would surface. I would correct him and he would then make sure he did not use that word or make that action. His family was a very appropriate family from what I know and had tenure in the areas. His bad habits had been picked-up in prison. He finally became what he had always wanted to be. He made his sister proud and even his brother in retrospect. I remember the sister's reactions the first and only time she met me in 2004 when she was in the hospital. Her face lit up - when she realized I was not the woman she had met before. I am glad I asked John if she wanted to meet me under the circumstances - she thought I was that other woman. Her letters after recovering from her heart attack reflected all of this. Very thankful I got to meet his brother, sister-in-law and sister. I knew he had come from good solid stock. It took a lot of yrs for him to grow-up. Now that I know his background - I am more appreciative of what he did with his life. He became the man he was meant to be and he tried to make up for his past and his mistakes. He would give you the shirt off his back and he was polite and considerate. He was loved by all who knew him. We were not rich, but we were never poor and he worked hard to make an honest living. No one will ever forget his smile and how he was so willing to help others. He was generous when we really could not afford to do so, but it made him feel good. Outside of one ex-wife, those he left behind in his past - no one had a bad word to say about him. He just never let them learn about his past....he later became all he could be. Can you even imagine living in a world - one in which you had to guard everything you did or say or you could end up not having a job or in prison. YES, he lived a life hiding his past - and I wish I had known this before he died. I knew he had a past - I just did NOT press for the details - only what he offered. His mother and his father would have been very proud of what he became....I did not know the man who had resided in multiple prisons and who had done things out of desparation and complete disregard for the lives of others. BUT, Duane Weber was who he said he was. He knew such a story would NOT impress me and he had NO reason to try to leave me with bad memories. I wish he had never made that confession and better yet, I wish I had never have found out who Dan Cooper was. Love Ya All - but, Blevins I have no respect for. I just went back to view what I posted but the pictures would NOT down load for me on my end. Where any of you able to view those photos. Seems I have some kind of corruption in my photo system. THis is a picture I never thought I would never ever post. It is a picture of Duane and I. In this picture my very curly hair appears straight and I had product on it to cover the gray. I liked the product because it made my hair straighter. My hair in humitity was curls and some ringlet, but this picture doesn't show that. I also styled it on VERY large Rollers. I do this NOW because I no long look like the woman in that photo. I look very much like Grey described me. So exposing this photo does NOT seem so exposed - I guess is the word. I am a PRIVATE person who has had to make her life with Weber known, but if I had it to do over again. I think I would have made a lot of different choices. Now that I begin the END of my life - it makes NO difference. Finding the truth is ALL I have left of what I used to be and I am no longer the woman in that photo. One full of laughter and love and hope for the future. There is NONE of that anymore. NOT since the DAY I understood what Duane had told me and who I had spent 17 yrs of my life with. The man I knew had Secrets, but what we had was REAL and what we had during those yrs is what really counts. This photo - also show his wavy hair with lots of product on it and note the appeance of the forehead and nose (and then put the Sun Glasses on this photo with his hair being dark and you again will see Cooper). As was in the composite - the one the FBI did because the Bing composite they DID NOT AGREE ON. The Bing composite was done quickly and without the witnesses having time to compose themselves. Cooper had shiny dark hair which represented dyed hair in 1971. I personally covered my gray with the same products which may my hair seem straighter. The date is unknown and the image quality is poor, but there are shadows and notice the hair and the waves. The brightness of the sun and the type glasses make his nose look large. Actually the ending of Duane's nose is narrow and remember the large type wide brimed glasses used by Cooper camoflag the nose. The glassed had a deep bridge and were worn low. The mouth has shadows as does the face. This was examined by others and I was told with the correct large dark and heavy rimmed glasse use by Cooper - it is very close. Remember this angle and shadows and glasses change one's appearance - why do you think Cooper used the big wrap around glasses. Note the hair is as the witnesses have described it. Having lots of problems with my ability to scan photos and hope this photo which is cropped from a poor snap shot will transport to the thread. I didn't think it should be used because of the image everyone thinks Cooper had, but now you have it. The hair and hair line are DEAD on with the composite done. Skyjack71 started in this thread after it was opened by Quade for us to discuss Cooper in Nov of 2006. I have 5210 posts. ( just over 6 yrs). Blevins came to the thread in Aug 2010 and now has 2724 posts. (less that 2 1/2 yrs). Blevins came here to PROMOTE. Jo came here to EXPLORE and guys we did a LOT of that...now we are bogged down and there is NO escape from Commercials. TV - Not many good programs Commercials - to loud Books - getting too hard to read Travel - takes lots of money Movies - too loud Bingo - ughh! Cards - hate them Chatrooms - boring Garden club - too uppity Gym - wish I could Walk - wish I could Clean house - nahh Cook - only if I have too Adult classes - At night /too far Write a bk - nahhh Excuses - Wish I didn't them Research - THERE is some more of that I could do - but need to get to WA and travel and go to archives - need more than I have. What I have is too little too late. After 65 yrs some records just go POOF! Mold, mildew, papermites, water, heat and all of the same things that caused the money to deteriorate. I have to depend on other people to know what I am looking for - I can't project a memory into their minds or a memory trigger. The 2010 trip triggered things I thought I would not recall, but I was driving and going at my own pace and I was alone as I chose to be and it worked. Just did not have the money to stay longer. I had not been able to project what my mind saw only one time in my life into the minds of other. I was the one who lived my life with a man who claimed he was Dan Cooper - no one else did. I was the one who needed to see the memories again and I did. I have one last expensive thing I have to do and be well enough to do it. I have to go back to WA even if it is just to scatter Duane's remains in the places he took me and remember one more time the things he told me...and then I will say GOODBYE! P.S. I do want to make it to Spokane and that high road all the way to Coure D Alene. I want to go back and see the things he told me about - I need to finish this. Blevins let the Thread continue without talk talk talk about your book. If you want to offer explorations about your subject or any subject - no one cares...but, it is wrong to let you promote a book. Almost every post you make is defending your book or promoting your book. No one even wants to come here to discuss Cooper anymore because all we hear is YOUR BOOK! What do you think is going to happen to that book when the REAL Cooper is announce or do you think that is never ever going to happen? I would NOT bank on that! Do You know how long certain files the federal government keeps can be obscured? Answer that question to keep your mind occupied! DO one thing useful for a change. Think about how NO ONE knew who Cooper was? Think about why NO one missed Cooper? You are so LOST in your book - you have lost track of the REAL world. You can't even keep the facts of the case straight. The thread helped you and what do we get in return? You can't even keep your own words straight! HOW did Cooper pull this off and get away? Don't assume he died! Assume he survived - HOW could one person do this and keep the secret and NO one ever know? How did he hide all the details and remove himself from the crime? You never explored any of this regarding Christiansen because if you did you would be making it up....You have NOT one piece of evidence and you never will have. You can NOT use what you co-erced from his family. Every thing you did was with a purpose and that purpose was NOT to find out who Cooper was, but to promote into the minds of living persons a suggestion you wanted to play-out in their minds. In the DZ there are real jumpers and those fascinated by Cooper and this thread attracts the right kind of people. What has been going on lately I think is unacceptable for HISTORY and TRIVIA. It was at my request that the D.B.Cooper thread be in HISTORY and TRIVIA and what has been going on is an abuse of that priviledge! If they opened a thread up in one of the other chat categories at DZ - I can quarantee you will NOT be happy campers. WE need to stop the bantering now before someone silences the thread entirely. This is HISTORY and TRIVIA and you guys act like you are in one of the chat rooms. The DZ has had requests to shut this thread down - BECAUSE of postings are being done. The postings are NOT productive in proving anyone person is Cooper and the thread has been and is being used for promotion purposes by Blevins and the publishing company. What is happening here is NOT acceptable even to me and I am pretty liberable. Everyone wanted a thread so they could discuss D. B. Cooper, but now Blevins is using it as a advertisement tool. Note GRAY never came here to promote his book? I don't care if Blevins talks all day long about his subject, but he should not mention the publishing company nor use the thread for promotion. Do NOT be surprise if you find the thread LOCKED. QUADE gave fair warning with the FIRST post in this thread and what you GUYS are doing is what SHUT down and LOCKED the first D.B.Cooper thread. GO READ THE FIRST POST of this thread and take a review of the old thread? History has a way of repeating itself. If it shuts down in a way BLEVINS wins because he got to use the thread for promotion without providing credits to the DZ or the participants. SAD As it stands when there is REAL news to report about Cooper you will have to read it in the headlines! THERE will be no avenue for those who might know something - to present their information. Lots of people will NOT go to the FBI to tell about their great Uncle Tom leaving some suspicious things behind or claimed he was Cooper - but they might do research on Jumping and Cooper and that brings them to DZ. Yea, even JO will stay out of that, but maybe there is a reason some of this is going on. Usually Georger has a reason behind what he does. Perhaps others should think about what he is doing right NOW
