I would try to jump at least every 30 days. From personal experience the more time you stay out of the sky the higher safety risk you are to you and other people. I dont know how your credit is but a credit card is an option I leave open for myself when it comes to jumping. Its not the smartest choice but like someone else said I'm skydiving right now, I might not have that luxury in the future. Or like someone said start packing, I think you might be surprised once you hang out at your DZ for a little while a good deal might just fall into your lap for some gear GOOD LUCK

I was the same way. Now I like to visualize on the plane ride up what Im going to do on each jump and it seems to help me out. Your mind is a powerful thing, use it to your advantage

Hey I was thinking making a trip thur and fri up to either one of these DZ's and was just wondering how it was jumping during the week at Byron or Hollister. Thanks for any replys

Ahhh its nice being 10min away from my home DZ. Also am anywhere from45 min to 2 hrs to 4 other DZ's

Lodi is open tomorrow(tuesday) 15$/jump. Its about a 2hr drive from SF. Lodi has a king air and a cessna Wed- Sun Skydance in Davis is open(call them about to see how many tandems they have for the day because thats a for sure PAC 750 load . About 1.5hr from SF 22$/jump Ill be at davis on wed. PM me if you plan on coming out we'll meet up Never been to Byron or hollister. Hopefully someone else will chime in and let you know how they are

Ahh Im jealous too. Shes missed out here in the west coast 0:4:0 Jumped with Chad (from germany) this weekend. We did an awesome 3 way head up jump for his 100th

You could always just go to the closest Dz to you and ask the DZO to help you price everything??? Just a suggestion:??

Meditation is like having your mental armor for the battle I would suggest doing the class. I personally am a big fan of meditation. It helps quite my mind and keeps me at peace within myself

i have been addicted to a lot of sports/hobbies, but nothing like this. i think its starting to affect my job and stuff... Tell me about it....Ive called in late to work a few times just to get a extra jump in ( I work in the evenings on the weekends)

:5:1 You ever have one of those days where the air just doesnt feel right flowing over your body. Every single jump I did just felt a little off I just called it quits after 5 jumps on saturday. I did do a first, exited from the plane with jason a hold of my chest strap, went straight into a hybrid and then went into a sit while he still held on.... that was kool !!!!!

I thought about then, but them I'm like...we'll if I'm going to risk it, I can risk it when I need to. If I bust myself trying it the first time, it might as well be to prevent the risk of deploying and landing a reserve. Again, differences here....I was told a 190 main by almost everyone, and that for that I need a 176 reserve because I can't fit a 190 reserve in there too without it being too tight. Going one size up in container makes the 190 kinda loosy goosy in there which they don't recommend. They also said the PD reserve flies really well, more like a 190 and its a 7 cell. Still apprehensive about it. I was in the same boat you are in a few months ago, with the same amount of jumps. I wanted a 190 main and a 190 reserve, because Ive never jumped a 176r before. So it took me some time but I found an Infinity I-55,which I love, with a PD 190R, and a fusion 190 main. It is a tight fit but at least I know I can land my main or reserve any where I want. ANd now I can downsize my main when im ready and still have a nice large reserve when I need it

Im assuming you already have the truck paid for. If it is then its always nice to NOT have a stupid truck payment!!! And since its a beater work truck I would replace the motor and gears. Did it come originally with those rear end gears???

Try lodi during the week but make sure you make it out to skydance closer to the end of the week. Call manifest at skydace and see how many tandems they have going up for whatever day during the week you want to go because thats a for sure Pac load. Sat and sun is a must to go there, there is usually someone organizing some really fun free fly stuff. Its a great atmospere there too

Yeah the magazine is cool and all but jumping is a lot more fun then reading about it. WHY THE HECK ARE YOU UNCURENT!!! GO JUMP!!!!
