0:9:0 YEAH nice weekend. 7 free fly jumps and two tracking....way too much fun with everyone out at skydance and lodi

I would say to get rid of the ranger. In my opinion I like to have a vehicle that I can work on ( 90's or lower) or a new vehicle, not in between where I have to pay someone out of my pocket to keep the vehicle up to par. New truck = warranty= no stress

OH OH sounds like fun.... Ill Pm you maybe we can meet up

0:3: OMG such an awesome week and weekend. One awesome two way freefly with kev, a 4 way freefly with some new friends from utah, and a 13 way sunset tracking dive with everyone I also did 3 other jumps during the week....I havent done 6 jumps in a week in almost 6 months....GOD I LOVE SKYDIVING

0:0:0 Denied for me ......but its good to see you back in the air bro I am really wanting a jump bad Ive only gotten one in this year, but lots of snowboarding other wise
-
Maybe try doing like 10 jumps over a weekend and see how you feel. I noticed in the summer, when I was doing 5-10jumps a week that I was more confident. Now that I jump irregular I feel more nervous. Skydiving is not a natural human thing to do so you have to train your self. Just my 2 cents

Skill Development, Staying Current, & Money (or lack of it)
Ironmanjay replied to mrken's topic in The Bonfire
Im in almost the same situation as you right now. IT SUCKS, I wanna cry no money and no time with school and all. I was so mad that I couldnt jump as much as I like that I almost sold my gear, but I got talked out of it(thank god) Now I just kinda accepted the fact that I wont be able to skydive that much right now. I know that really isnt a great sounding solution to you but thats just the fact of my life -
Quotecanopies deployed, I steered them apart and cutaway. Quote So you cut away your main, correct?? I thought you werent suppose to cut away as long as it was landable???

Chest strap and canopy flight
Ironmanjay replied to Ironmanjay's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Thanks for the info man. Yeah I guess I was mostly caught off guard by the way my canopy performed with the chest strap all the way loose. I do collapse my slider and pull it behind my head. I just need to JUMP and PRACTICE more.....too bad its the end of the season -
Well I was participating in our 4-way scrambles but Just about broke myself on the first jump. I did learn a lot from that jump since the experienced guy on our team gave me some great tips to improve my RW skills I pounded in pretty hard on a landing, thought I broke my ankle again but its just a really really bad sprain that has allowed me to utilize my crutching skills again Its feeling better today though

Chest strap and canopy flight
Ironmanjay replied to Ironmanjay's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Hey guys I noticed that when I have my chest strap tight, the input when I flare is really really sensitive, almost to where Ill "pop up" a few ft in the air in the first part of my flare. Then when I loosen my chest strap the sensitivity to the input I give when flaring is significantly less. I understand how loosening the chest strap widens the lines out which flattens the wing out and gives it a slightly better glide ratio but I dont know how that pertains to controlling the sensitivity to my flare. Im flying a fusion 190 loaded at about 1.15:1 The reason I ask is because I pounded in pretty hard on saturday when I had my chest strap looser then what Im normally used to -
Gosh was there mid- terms today
-
WTF.... I am completely shocked. That sucks I am sorry to hear about that. The X-ray looks worse then what you did too Bryan!!! OUCH. I feel for the both of you I broke my ankle last January on almost an identical type of landing that Leah had with about the same number of jumps. GET WELL SOON LEAH AND BRYAN!!!!! Ill check in with you guys from time to time to see how its going since I probably wont see either of you at the DZ for a while
