Matter are useless. Jumpsuit recommendations?
CarloC replied to goldengolly's topic in Gear and Rigging
Julio from Liquid Sky will make you a great suit and a awesome costumer service, you will love the suit. Am not a big fan on doing advertising for people in the sport for an Ok job, but liquid sky im happy to do so, and so Chuting Star and L&B Blue ones -
I used to have a Sabre 1 135 with 1500 jumps with brand new lines, it lasted 200 more jumps with me until it ripped in a hard opening. The porosity of the material looked just fine and it was easier to pack. It always opened really, really hard.

People must LOVE their Safires!
CarloC replied to Throttlebender's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Safires are really hard to find, even the safire one, imagine the 2. Anyway, i loooooooooove my Safire, i dont see any other canopy in the future, the normal progression would be a crossfire 2 for me, but i dont know about that! -
Exactly!!! The point is simple, they are overpriced shorts so you can look cool for other dudes! That is why im selling my shorts, they are not functional at all!
-
My are very slim fit, they are great for freefall too, thats how i used the most, but i rather use my suit. And Julio´s shorts has spandex in the right areas so your junk wont be cramped at all They are slim fit but very confortable Blue ones bro! Ps. Liquid sky makes a swoop shorts with cordura all over, if you really want one, i suggest you look in to it, but they are very expensive. Dont believe the hype, they are just overpriced shorts.
-
Julio does make a bad ass swoop shorts, they make you look cool, but they offer little protection, that is why im selling it, i rather jump with my full suit by julio too, great by the way. LS Rocks
-
Liquid Sky all the way, its not hype, Julio makes the sweetest suit, and a basic one is not that expensive and very resistant. It doesnt matter if you are a newbie freeflier or a pro flyer with thousands of jumps. www.liquidskysports.com

A lot of experience pilots recommend the Slider Locks, any rigger can make one for you. http://www.bigairsportz.com/article.php#slider Blue ones

Its a no brainer dude! GET A NEW CONTAINER!!! I just ordered a basic LS suit with a few extras(Perfect by the way) with Julio and costed me US$ 400,00, a custom suit full of extras can get in the 700 range, i bet you can buy a nice Freefly friendly container with that value. Get rid of the Dolphin and buy a freefly friendly container now, down the road you buy a bad ass suit. Later

Ship USPS Global Express Mail. Great price, fast and safe!!! You can track all the way and insurance the canopy if you want too. Dont use Fedex, Ups or DHL, they are TOO expensive. I think a canopy weights about 7 pounds, a small one, it costs to South Korea only US$ 60,00 and gets there in 4 days. http://ircalc.usps.gov/IntlMailServices.aspx?Country=10235&M=2&P=7&O=0&sd=0 You cant beat that! Blue ones!!!

Kevin, if you use the Protecktor in the optima, it will fit in the L&B clip just fine. But i suggest also using some gaffers tape to add extra support. Blue ones!
-
if you had a pro dytter or a pro track would be easier to mount and secure, but since you have a Solo... Sugestions... 1 . get a helmet with a inside audible pocket with you want 0% of chances of losing your audible. 2. If you really want to use this helmet, this might work... Get a L&B clip, use zip ties to secure the clip in the helmet. Get a protecktor for your Solo and put in the L&B clip, it will fit. Now get a sh#%* load of gaffers tape and secure it again. I had a Hurricane helmet and it worked just GREAT. I know you said no zip ties or gaffers tape, so i suggest the first option, but you can always super glue it. Blue ones!

The Mirage MX And the MXS will fit virtually the same type of main and reserve, the difference is that the MXS belongs to the Mirage "S" series, witch is a container made for people with shorter torso, the main difference is that the MXS is shorter than the MX in length. http://www.miragesys.com/sizing-guide/ I have seen a Sabre 2 120 and a PD 113 in a MX and was fine, far from tight. Remember that some factors that can play a large factor in this combo fitting or not The use of a AAD, if the main is brand new and the ambient is dry.
-
Dude, they look cool, and as much as i love my Mirage rig i would not put their logo on my jumpsuit unless i was sponsored buy them. Be yourself and im sure Julio will come up with a desing that is you, and not a company Blue skies bro

We are talking here using the seller´s perspective, not the buyer! The point here is that is just as safe for the Seller to get the money via PayPal or W.U If you use the Buyer´s perspective its safer if he uses PayPal, because once he sends the money via W.U is gone, PayPal there is a way to protest! Blue ones!
-
Couldn't agree more, and Likestojump is someone who have sold gear overseas Either way, the Seller always has the upper hand, he will only ship when he gets the cash in his hands. Its harder for the overseas buyer, who has no guarantee and a lot of times suffers from prejudice of people that think that all international buyers are scammers A scrow service is only helpful with you sell within the U.S. I bought all my gear using dropzone.com, all of them the seller gets the cash and ships to me, never had a problem. W.U is just as safe as PayPal, PayPal is just more pratical. Blue ones

Skyhook RSL snag on door handle, at pin cover flap
CarloC replied to pchapman's topic in Gear and Rigging
The skydiver on the video is a good friend of mine from Argentina, Diego. I sent a email to him so he can give more data about the incident and post here if a get a response soon! Scary s$#%, gets even scarier when you realize is a friend of yours in that scenario! Blue ones! -
+ 1 Worth repeating, Im from Brazil, and all my gear i bought from U.S and came trough USPS Express Mail Service(EMS), and is great. As Long as you have a tracking number you will be fine UPS, Fedex or DHL Is way too expensive. Blue ones!

Contact Ward at www.miragesys.com He will help you out better than anyone here!!
-
You CAN´T beat the customer service that Julio gives. Its the best in the business along L&B. http://www.liquidskysports.com/ The suits and pants are just awesome! :) They are not expensive like Ouragan and the delivery times are pretty fast too! Blue ones!!!

The MZS has the same lenght as the MXS 1/2 that is 15 inches long. If you contact Ward at Mirage, im sure he will help you out with pictures of a G4 MZS ward@miragesys.com I have a G3 MXS 1/2 and has different shape of the G4, but i bet Chris-Ottawa can help you out too, since he has a G4 MXS 1/2 and like i sad has the same lenght of the MZS. Blue ones!!!

You know Chris, i lost my best friend in a canopy colision 7 months ago. Still hurts a lot. I had no emotional conditions to jump on his ash dive, so i gave my spot to another friend. But i knew i had to jump, so i did, 4 weeks later and i have to keep on jumping because i love skydiving. And i will keep on doing it as long as i love it. He left a 2 year old son and his wife. 3 friends of mine quit skydiving because they have little kids, and they felt that skydiving was a aditional risk that could leave their sons without a father to take care of them. Life is a gift, but it will end someday, you can`t blame skydiving, you have to blame life it self.

Funny! When people write "do a search" in a new topic on this forum, and you actually do a search about the subject, the older topics have someone saying "do search" also. Until you can find some good info it takes a while
-
You also can buy the RAWA without the cambox, and in the future you can buy the case and put a camera, if you intend to jump with a camera! You cant beat the confort of a RAWA helmet. www.rawa.com.br Edited: Another great helmet open face is the Skysistems Hurricane http://www.skysystemsltd.com/index.php Blue ones!! P.s Always try a helmet before buying one!

No man, those suits are so early 90s, rsrsrs They have little wings on the arms and come in shorts so you dont have drag on your legs and that help you stay in head up position. They are cheating suits. Witch is not a good way to learn to fly head up. Talk to a coach or a more experienced freeflyer to help you out with your head up. A lot of freefly coaches recommend that you use a long sleeve tshirt and shorts to help you out in the start of your training if you dont have a regular freefly suit. Blue ones
