In an attempt to try something new, my ad-hoc 4-way team has been trying to launch a bow from our DZ's kingair for around 8 jumps now, funneling it to differing degrees each time. We switched to a star (something we're all familiar with) and launched it twice now with almost no problems, even transitioning to the intended first point on the hill. The way we've been doing it, the IC takes his grips on the point and OC while at the lineup, the OC has a grip on the point, and I (tail) take my leg grip on the OC, with the intent to take the other leg on the IC when he clears the door. I know for my part, I'm not flying enough with my right hand until the IC rotates down towards me. Any ideas or suggestions? You sir need a polarized filter for your camera to cut down on the glare. Nice video though. A dolor netus non dui aliquet, sagittis felis sodales, dolor sociis mauris, vel eu libero cras. Interdum at. Eget habitasse elementum est.

I got a Argus (thanks Gareth!) and love it. the build quality inspires confidence despite the fact that it is relatively new to the market, and it's quite polite to boot (it says "hello" and "bye bye"!). If you are being interrogated, think of it as being done by a loving mother rather than cops. The above posters are just trying to look out for the best interests of a new jumper who may not know better. Feel the love! My 92 Gti's odometer stopped working at 183k. that was some years ago, so it's most likely well into the 200k's. No major repairs, though it does require a "procedure" to start. according to this: http://www.sunpath.com/sizchart.htm and this http://www.sunpath.com/Legacy_sizchart.htm probably not, unless it's a "JIKL" which I think might have been supposed to be J1KL. Keep in mind I don't know much of anything about sunpath's products, other than how to read a chart. A dolor netus non dui aliquet, sagittis felis sodales, dolor sociis mauris, vel eu libero cras. Welcome to the sport and to Byron! Look for me (Bryan) at Byron on Sundays! There's a fair chance we've already met breifly, but either way, HELLO! A dolor netus non dui aliquet, sagittis felis sodales, dolor sociis mauris, vel eu libero cras. Interdum at. Eget habitasse elementum est.

Don't remember exactly, but I think either someone at the dz mentioned it or I ran across it on google. A dolor netus non dui aliquet, sagittis felis sodales, dolor sociis mauris, vel eu libero cras. Interdum at. Eget habitasse elementum est.

Has skydiving lost the "hippy" vibe?
siddacious replied to Newbie's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
When I did my tandem, most of the locals at the DZ gave me the 'surfer' vibe more than the 'hippy' or 'skygod' vibe. I wouldn't trade my locals (YAY BYRON!) for anyone. welcome to dropzone.com and the norcal skydiving community! Skydving isn't something to be taken lightly, so the fact that you're willing to ground yourself is good. I would recommend trying to go the aff route if possible, as it is good to have someone there to really see what you're doing and help correct you while your're doing it. I would also recommened limiting yourself to one or two jumps a day, to let the lessons you learn sink in. Lastly, altitude awareness is paramount, as you won't always have the SL pulling for you! I'm not an instructor, and I've never done SL, but I personally would make alti-awareness my #1 priority (with the exception of pulling!). I didn't hear the specifics from the person that passed the rumor along, but I did find this: http://www.google.com/patents?vid=USPAT7040580&id=sBR3AAAAEBAJ&printsec=abstract&zoom=4&dq=automatic+activation+device#PPA1-IA1,M1 I'm assuming that is the patent in question, Held by Helmut Cloth of Airtec, and it appears to cover the whole AAD 'system' I have absolutely no info as to the nature of the alleged infringements. Apparently the part about Aviacom is untrue as they did not apply to the PIA. My mistake. This is a rumor after all, and the part about AAD may be un-true as well. I did a tandem and then too AFF at Byron and loved both. I've made a bunch of friends there and make a point to get out there at least once a week. A bit light on the amenities, but definitely a good crowd. I've also jumped at Davis, and was impressed with the amenities that they offer. I'll be going back soon. I would say Byron is 'down homey' whereas Davis is 'professional', with whatever that implies. A dolor netus non dui aliquet, sagittis felis sodales, dolor sociis mauris, vel eu libero cras.
