  1. Jumping over here will most likely be cheaper as well, in addition to the hit you'll take with the exchange rate. Take that money and spend in on booze while you're over there. 2. I have a wings w17 with a Triathalon 190 and have tried to position the d-bag as you mentioned (with the bridle towards the flaps and found that the d-bag shape was too rectangular and 'tall' in this orientation. YMMV. A dolor netus non dui aliquet, sagittis felis sodales, dolor sociis mauris, vel eu libero cras. Interdum at. Eget habitasse elementum est.
  3. You could always let another (appropriate and trusted) jumper use your main while you're not jumping it to help brake it in for you. A dolor netus non dui aliquet, sagittis felis sodales, dolor sociis mauris, vel eu libero cras. Interdum at. Eget habitasse elementum est.
  4. Whoo! Wings in the house! Reminds me of when I first pulled mine out of the bag *tear*. Treat her well, sir! A dolor netus non dui aliquet, sagittis felis sodales, dolor sociis mauris, vel eu libero cras. Interdum at. Eget habitasse elementum est.
  5. Check your local Ross or other discount crap store for large duffel bags. I got a large one with wheels and a pull out handle (like hard luggage) for cheap. It'll make a great gear bag if I ever get it back from my friend. A dolor netus non dui aliquet, sagittis felis sodales, dolor sociis mauris, vel eu libero cras. Interdum at. 6. I can echo what Broke said exactly. I got my triathalon with the container, and I don't love it, but it certainly works. I like the openings more than the saber 2's I've flown. It also took me until around jump 100 (50+ jumps) on it until I figured out the flare. My next canopy will most likely be a 9-cell, but I'll keep the Tri. Ditto on the Brian Germain book as well. Take the course if you can, too. A dolor netus non dui aliquet, sagittis felis sodales, dolor sociis mauris, vel eu libero cras. Interdum at. Eget habitasse elementum est.
  7. I'll consider myself learned. My comment about kicking out came from only ever having line twists that I could get out of in a matter of seconds. I suppose while this is true now, it may not always be true, especially if I eventually downsize to a less forgiving canopy. No need to start bad habits now. Thanks all for the reality check. 8. All good points, tough I disagree about the ease of mis-reading a digital. YMMV. Either way, I wonder if alti-2 could be persuaded to integrate some sort of bar graph into the main alti display of the Neptune. They have the hardware for it. I especially agree with what you said about audibles. I stopped using mine for this very reason. A dolor netus non dui aliquet, sagittis felis sodales, dolor sociis mauris, vel eu libero cras. 9. I'll fess up and admit my part in this nonsense. I was one of the others in the 4-way, and I opened as low as Mikhail, though with a decent enough canopy (#$%@ Saber 2 likes it's collapsed end cells). As I said in another post, this falls under the category of 'stupid things I've done skydiving'. My thoughts: Not having been in your situation, and not knowing how bad the line twists were, I think I would have tried to kick them out. I've never cut away, so I trust my anti-line-twist skills more than my reserve. This may well be stupid. 10. I don't know where all this talk of a dial being easier to read comes from, as though it were universal. I realized while riding a friend's motorcycle with a digital speedometer that digital gauges were easier for me. I got a Neptune the next weekend. Not everybody grew up using analog clocks. I know I didn't. I can read one, sure, but I have to think about it more. A dolor netus non dui aliquet, sagittis felis sodales, dolor sociis mauris, vel eu libero cras. Interdum at. 11. I'm going to have to disagree. I've found big grippers to be preferable for any jump where you want to launch a piece. Why would it be specific to 4-way? A dolor netus non dui aliquet, sagittis felis sodales, dolor sociis mauris, vel eu libero cras. Interdum at. Eget habitasse elementum est.

  13. Start of the day: 1. Turn on aad. I've remembered that I didn't turn on my AAD on the way to the plane twice now because I got distracted from doing my morning gear check. 2. Check back pad side of gear in an upside down U, starting with the right leg pad, up the main lift web, to the chop handle, to the chest strap, 3 rings, double check AAD, 3rings/rsl, and RSL routing, chest strap, reserve handle.and back down the lift web tp the left leg strap. I do this side first so I don't have to lay the rig against the same side of the reserve pin after checking it. 3. Flip it over and check reserve pin seated properly, and then check the main pin placement, and PC kill line, as well as bridle exposure. Before leaving the plane: 1. Reserve pin if the rig has been sitting against something on the reserve side. 2. Main pin If I'm feeling paranoid. Maybe I should be more paranoid. 3. 3 rings, 3 straps, 3 handles. 4. I always practice my EP's at least once on the way up, usually more. While packing, I pay special care to folding the PC neatly with the main attachment point pulled out to be even with the PC edge and hackey to prevent monkey fisting, as well as stowing excess bridle and making sure that the routed portion is well covered. 14. Most recently: 3 point 4-way from ~4.3k . In the saddle by 1200ft. Lesson learned? Don't due 4way from 4k. What scares me is that it didn't scare me as much as: Tucking in to close ~50ft of vertical distance to another jumper who was flying on his back, and then narrowly avoiding another jumper that I didn't see until the last minute by doing a track into a front loop. Very stupid. Lesson learned: Don't get so excited that you loose track of the people around you. and more regularly; Loosing altitude awareness due to relying on my audible. I should be checking my alti regularly, regardless of how many audibles I have. Fortunately I've never pulled low due to this. Lesson learned: I need to reduce my "arousal level" to the point that I can take not of my altitude more regularly. 15. Feel free to be flippant about it, but it irks me what an organization the size of SVAZ/SDAZ can't be bothered to pay for the use of an artists work. The way it sounds from the OP is that SDAZ didn't produce the clip but rather the OP put it together. In which case securing the legal use of the music is the responsibility of the person/company producing the work. Tandem vidiots and the guys who do weddings run into this issue all the time. First let me say that I incorrectly assumed that the OP was producing the video for hire. I was recently informed that this is incorrect and that the OP made the video on his own, independent of SVAZ. That said, you are correct. The OP would be responsible for securing the rights to the music. In this case, IF he were producing the video for hire (again, which he was not), the cost of securing the rights would be passed on to the client, who would have to be willing to pay that cost. I don't think I'm going out on a limb thinking that not many clients would be willing to do so. A dolor netus non dui aliquet, sagittis felis sodales, dolor sociis mauris, vel eu libero cras. 17. A friend sold basically the same rig but a mirage g3 instead of the vector for 3500 in a matter of hours (on the classifieds). A dolor netus non dui aliquet, sagittis felis sodales, dolor sociis mauris, vel eu libero cras. Interdum at. Eget habitasse elementum est.
  18. Nice video. Is this being used as an advertisement for SVAZ as the OP implies? If so, I can't help but wonder if the copyright holder of the song has received compensation for it's use. Surely they (SVAZ) can afford it. A dolor netus non dui aliquet, sagittis felis sodales, dolor sociis mauris, vel eu libero cras. Interdum at. Eget habitasse elementum est.
  19. Most people (myself included) at my home DZ do this as well. That said, I might get some liners of some manner, though more likely I'll look for some polypropylene ones. 20. My best suggestion would be to print out the talon order form (available on the RI website) and then make several enlarged copies of the the rig diagram,. Then go crazy with a set of markers until you figure out what you want. As far as I know, there is not generic coloring tool available. I'm pretty sure the ones available on other manufacturer's websites were custom made. A dolor netus non dui aliquet, sagittis felis sodales, dolor sociis mauris, vel eu libero cras. Interdum at. 23. Methinks there is meat to this. I'm pretty sure the point was attempting to leave exactly with the OC. I do know that the point was getting blown down the hill (to the point of being side by side with the OC) on at least one of the stars. The bit about making it steep due to the down flow hadn't occurred to me. Bah! Why isn't it sunday already?! I wanna give this stuff a try! Hopefully the guys aren't 'over' trying to launch the H. I'll also make sure we have the video guy be Rear Rear (on previous H attempts he was diving after us because he was getting used to his gear) so we at least can have a look at what is going on with the exit. Thanks much! Very insightful. A dolor netus non dui aliquet, sagittis felis sodales, dolor sociis mauris, vel eu libero cras. Interdum at. Eget habitasse elementum est.
  24. This sounds pretty much like what we're doing. I'm getting the feeling that the OC isn't launching sideways enough to let the IC present, and also that the point might be having trouble launching into position or is getting pulled around by the centers. I think we need to work on our timing and gymnastic maneuvers where appropriate. A dolor netus non dui aliquet, sagittis felis sodales, dolor sociis mauris, vel eu libero cras. Interdum at. 25. Yea, changing planes isn't really an option. We love our DZ too much! Plus, we figure if we can nail exits out of a KA, we can nail 'em out of enything (well, maybe not a Pitts). Gripping the IC in the door may be a bit tricky due to space constraints (head, 3 arms, chest, and a rig) , but I'll give it a try.
