  1. We have Freefall taxi - which is done once you have done your first 3sec delay or AFF jump ... It involves donning a really smelly student jumpsuit, stand in a student arch while everyone pours buckets of water over you. While this is happening, you have to recite the skydivers prayer, line by line, and if you get it wrong, start over. It's difficult when you cant hear a thing because water is being poured in your ear! If you relax your arch even a little, your instructor wacks you on the bum, screaming ARCH ARCH! if you get cocky, then you get made to leopard crawl to the pit, (very far away from the pub) and bring back stones. When you eventually get through the prayer (takes ages - trust me!) you then have to down a trophy filled with the most revolting concoctions they can come up with on the day (Really yucky!). You've got 7 seconds - after that it goes over your head. SOme people have an issue with this sort of thing, but personally, I think you need to take it in the spirit intended - it's all in good fun, and definitely makes you part of the club. k Kerry

  11. Quote. I would get free instruction jumps and pack jobs at the DZ - Ummmm..... free pack jobs???? THis is a more likely scenario. They all gather around to watch you flat pack a student canopy, taking every possible opportunity to whack you on the bum, and then, when the spring loaded pilot chute bounces you right off the rig, you get picked up and unceremoniously shoved into a dustbin Then you finally extricate yourself, and more bum whacking .... but you're right about the beer Kerry

Must say I agree with meatmissile on this one - I may be single again, but trust me, I am having way way more fun, and living life the way I want to, without having all sorts of "issues" hanging over me. (besides, the ex was a whuffo - say no more). It hurts now, but the sun rises every morning, and it does get better. Keep smiling Kerry Kerry
  17. I gave up after Grace, Dharma and Mugabe - way too frustrating! Kerry
  18. I tried Grace (WIll and Grace), and Mugabe "I knew you were Robert Mugabe from Zimbabwe from the start, but I strung you along for a while to make it seem more sporting. I hope that one day you will overcome the powerful sense of humiliation that you now feel. " bloody hell! Kerry
  19. Hi I guess it fluctuates quite wildly these days - a couple who jump in Harare moved down to SA last weekend - they said they have to pay whatever the US$ rate is .... which still makes it one of the cheapest places to skydive, unless you are Zimbabwean!!!!!! Kerry
