  1. I'll bet that's pretty much what every innocent civilian in Iraq is thinking about the US. I wonder how many others in the middle east are wondering if they will be next? Get it?
  2. Why are people so quick to say that very successful people are nuts, stupid, or idiots just because they don't like them or agree with them? Just a pet peeve of mine. I don't see how it's "completely weird" either. He will spend a couple years putting together his next film, people will watch it and he will make money. SSDD.

    Pizza !

SO true!!! For all the SDC folks out there, there is a little place on the edge of Peru on the way to Spring Valley called Lou's LaGratto. Been a while since I've been there, but that pizza was the best.
  4. Get a shotgun. Its far more effective for home protection. Glad it wasn't worse.
  5. Well, since we have completely left the topic of this thread here is a link to the Declaration of Independence. http://www.archives.gov/national_archives_experience/charters/declaration_transcript.html In the text, you will find laid out in almost bullet point format the specific reasons for the colonies to declare their independence from England. You will notice references to a belief in a higher power, but the specific reasons for the founding of our country had nothing to do with religion.
  6. It takes a strong person to open up their core beliefs to evaluation. Its too bad we don't see it more often.
  7. The US was was not "founded of religious principal". It is, in part, based in the freedom to practice any religion of your choosing without fear of reprisal. I would say that the US was founded on the absence of religious principles. And you would be wrong!!!! The USA was founded on Judeo-christian philisophy. If you have any doubts on that read a history book. It explains why almost all currency in this county has the words "In GOD we trust" written on it. The US did not want to have a "Religiou State" created, but did want religious practice of its people. You obviously don't know much about the founding fathers or the early days of this country do you? Certainly the belief in a higher power is evident in the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, on our currency, in our Pledge, etc. However, the first amendment begins "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof". It is a small but very important distinction to make that our country was founded on freedom, not on religion.

  9. Fortunately this is America, where even stupid morons can get rich in the entertainment industry. Income does not necessarily correlate to intelligence. If you honestly think that Cher or Madonna are "fucking idiots, stupid, or morons", the irony of the statement is lost on you. Either of them probably make more serious business decisions in a week than most of us will make in a lifetime. It is pretty easy to be jealous of others' success. Back on thread topic: I don't think the opinion of a celebrity is any more valuable than anyone elses in this area, but I also think she makes some insightful points.
  10. If ultra successful multi-millionaires are really stupid morons, where does that leave you and me?
  11. I guess that means the nicely worded letter approach didn't work. Sorry dude. Ring me up if you need.
  12. Not exactly true. The statute of limitations is three years. Exceptions are: 1.) Fraud = no limitations 2.) omissions in excess of 25% of gross income = six years 3.) There is a laundry list of other stuff, but the first two are the highlights. Also, if you are due a refund, you have only three years to file and claim it.
  13. Pretty tough to sound genuinely compassionate right after you jump on an opportunity to kick a guy when he's down.
  14. Yes please! That was freaking hilarious!!!!
  15. Stay positive. The depth of your love and commitment is far beyond a piece of paper and the approval of bigots. Unfortunately, social change is often measured in generations, not in years.
  16. Joe truly is a really good guy. If you have any solid info about him being recalled, please update for those concerned.
  17. It was at a club (not a strip club). Very lame actually - it was obvious that Ron was not enjoying himself, but he was polite and always the gentleman. He did not leave early.
  18. Met him in a restaurant this April while out for my anniversary. Real nice guy. Talked a little and went to an appearance with him after dinner. The one thing that really struck me is that he "gets it".
  19. Nuclear Assult....there's a blast from the past. How about DRI and the Circle Jerks.
  20. Try to find the owner. Someone probably misses her very much. If you can't and need a home for her, let me know. I'm just a hop north and my wife would love me forever.
  21. RIP Sam. Take peace in knowing you showed him love in his last hours.
  22. I am totally not buying that. I've been doing this successfully for two years. All of those audio files were QB files last year. There is something on my computer doing it. A windows update, something, anything. The entire purpose of using these files is so clients don't have to worry about making all my changes to their books themselves, which they always screw up anyway. The problem is on my end. I just haven't been able to find a fix for it yet.
  23. No, above that in the white box - what does it say there? EDIT: adding attachment. How do I do a screen grab like this?
  24. It seems like these two errors would be unrelated...if it is a quickbooks file, exported from quickbooks it shouldnt matter what the file associations are. Perhaps you both have different versions of quickbooks? Either that or the file is somehow getting damaged / changed in the process.... That's the problem. It's NOT a QB file. Its recognized as an audio file, and therefore, useless.
