  1. I will send you pictures, in a P.M. Justin Wingsuit organizing, first flight courses and coaching Flock University Tonysuits
  2. Look, First off, I am waaaay to fucking busy ACTUALLY jumping to keep replying to silly questions. When I said difficult to flock, what I meant was, it likes to fly. FAST fast forward. It was not too difficult for me, simply an adjustment. and if you think I have "lost the sense of speed" Come do a jump with me, I will gladly show you speed I did lots of jumps with a girl this weekend, who was flying a V3. She is very light, tall and experienced. On one jump we were going to do a distance flock. She was rear float. I was last out, It was a 6 way. She immediately took off, and I spent almost a minute catching her........but I did, and then had HUGE range on her, and held back to film her, passing by when she deployed. Want video of that? Cause i can post it. It seems no one will EVER be happy on this site. You(Odeseni have 100 wingsuit flights) I did that in the last month. I dont care who flys longer, farther or faster. Its all fun, and If i get smoked (which i have) so be it. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. what is important is how you interact with your friends and competitors. We are all in this together and competition drives innovation. Get out and jump......... lots. Fly your suit whatever it is. My suit is a newer more refined version of Jades. Yes. There is no claim here of a super duper performance. Did you watch the video? It was time. Period. I will try to do some Gps runs and post that, but honestly I dont really give a shit. I like flying wingsuits, they are fun. I could care less what you fly as long as you fly. Justin Wingsuit organizing, first flight courses and coaching Flock University Tonysuits
  3. I understand your point, but I have been flying long wingroot arm wings for thousands of jumps now. When I flocked my XS it was easier to stay quiet. It has the same root. The X-Bird is much more responsive, less mushy(per say) so when you make a movement it does it quicker. Justin Wingsuit organizing, first flight courses and coaching Flock University Tonysuits
  4. Suit Breakdown: T-Bird: The arm wing is the SM1 arm with the T-Bird cut. Trailing edge on ALL the suits are perpendicular to the line of flight. The tail wing is shorter than the raptor, but slightly wider. R-Bird: Same arm wing as the T-Bird. Leg wing is the same as the raptor. which is longer than the T-Bird leg. S-Bird: Same arm wing as the T-Bird, but now with a two inch longer gripper. Leg wing is the same as the SM1 leg. Approx 4 inches past feet. X-Bird: XS with T-Bird cut arm wing. Trailing edge is perpendicular to the line of flight. Leg wing is 4 inches longer than the SM1 leg. All the suits have the new foam booties. and mini ribs on the trailing edge to reduce drag. The leading edges are cleaned up, and the inlets are moved. Overall these suits perform very well. I have flown them all. Personally I say the S-Bird is the best all around weapon. The T-bird is by far the best choice for flocking. Easy to use, HUGE range and great for backflying etc. I found the X-Bird difficult to flock in faster fall rates mostly because the suit DOES NOT WANT TO STOP. I don't recommend this suit for flocking, especially in the wrong hands. It took me a few jumps to dial it in and quiet it down. But i am still approaching flocks with caution, as the suit gererates scary forward speed. Seeing Matt Gold fly his S-bird in flocks this weekend, I noticed the same thing happening to him. Once SDC told him to let go of his grippers, he flew in a flock much better. The suit is almost too responsive and becomes twitchy while flocking because of over correcting. 5. I have had the suit since june 1, I jump everyday.
  6. We will have Scotty Burns and (Hopefully) Matt Hoover. To take exceptional photos of us all. Matts video from last year http://www.matthoover.com/gallery/skydiving-videos/Flock_U_2008-HD.html Justin Wingsuit organizing, first flight courses and coaching Flock University Tonysuits
  7. In the XS i could not do the times I do in the X-Bird. I can fly faster, farther, longer. With less fatigue. I love my X-bird. Disclaimer: This is a serious suit. I found it difficult to flock, because it does not want to be stopped, AT ALL. The XS is a fairly difficult suit to fly, and because we say the X-Bird is easier does not mean it is easy. If a flyer has difficulty flying an SM1 in any attitude or situation, a bigger suit will be harder. Jump what you have until you can do ANYTHING in it. Then Upgrade. Dont be the guy with an XS, or Bird, or Stealth 2 that does alot of solos because no one wants to fly with you.
  8. I have an altitrack, but Scotty has it as i left it in Utah. He is sending it to me hopefully overnight. If I get it I will do another long flight this weekend. Justin Wingsuit organizing, first flight courses and coaching Flock University Tonysuits

  12. My personal results....yes. I am getting 30mph lows on almost every jump. now over 100 jumps on the suit. I have been slowly getting it down, the slowest so far is 24 mph. I am on the road now, without my altitrack (i forgot it) convienent huh? But scotty will send it to me and I can upload pics from the readout if you would like. 13. It was a great event. Lots of people came a long way from the first jumps to the last. HUGE improvements from the group. Great job people. The after parties were stupid, Charlie would be proud, or mad. :-D Despite weather holds I managed to do over 20 jumps this weekend. Including a Round flyby (crazy). Today involved some really intense coach jumps with Steph Davis. She KILLED it. Overall a great boogie and FYI.......next year will be bigger and better. already have an EVIL plan :-D Justin Wingsuit organizing, first flight courses and coaching Flock University Tonysuits
  14. This has been a lot of work from the beginning. Great job Taya. we look smarter because of you :-) Justin Wingsuit organizing, first flight courses and coaching Flock University Tonysuits

  16. Out here doing jumps already. Have made a few so far and were doing four ways. there are 6 birds here right now. Justin Wingsuit organizing, first flight courses and coaching Flock University Tonysuits
  17. Mike, I have more experience on the X-bird than anyone right now. I now have 80 jumps on it and it is a machine. If you get into a flatspin in that suit, How will you shut down the tailwing. Have you ever been in a flatspin?? Take advantage of the other suits there while you can, get some coaching. Flying the high performance suit shitty, you will find yourself doing lots of solos cause no one will want to fly with you when the suit is flying you. The learning curve is higher on this suit. RESPECT IT Justin Wingsuit organizing, first flight courses and coaching Flock University Tonysuits
  18. Ill measure you in Utah, Muhahahahahahahaha Justin Wingsuit organizing, first flight courses and coaching Flock University Tonysuits

  20. The proposals can be found here: http://www.scribd.com/doc/17007006/WSI-Rating-Executive-Summary and here: http://www.scribd.com/doc/17006970/Proposed-Wingsuit-IRM The first one is an executive summary. It's a good place to start to get the basics. Please do not comment on this document if you do not Read the summary first. The second one has two parts to it. The first part is the content that would go into the USPA's Instructional Rating Manual. If the organization on that one seems a little weird, it's because it had to match the other sections of the IRM. The second part is the first flight course syllabus. We'd welcome any constructive feedback. Justin Wingsuit organizing, first flight courses and coaching Flock University Tonysuits
  21. Just a thought; maybe the proposal in the hands of the USPA for consideration needs wider distribution so those interested can consider and comment. Or maybe even attend the Board of Directors meeting to advocate. you can Wingsuit organizing, first flight courses and coaching Flock University Tonysuits
  22. "We" is a group of wingsuiters that collaborated on a document, similar to what Mark Harris did for the B.P.A. We were informed a wingsuit rating was was in consideration. Better to be in front of the train, running at the same speed than to be hit by it. "We" are not the only ones who submitted. I hope that a ws rating does not take over and slow the growth of the sport. I feel it will not, only it will weed out the ones who are not pulling their weight, so to speak.
  23. Wiping the slate clean, and having people prove their skills (in both teaching and flying) and having one unified way of teaching. It will be a big step forward. I CANNOT agree more. That is how it should be, and how we proposed it. Justin Wingsuit organizing, first flight courses and coaching Flock University Tonysuits
  24. So how about that new S-Fly suit guys? Can we get off this and try to stay on topic?
