Not only Thursday but it's not Halloween anymore. Which means that all the Halloween decorations at Wal-Mart are now at least 1/2 off. Time to go buy some so I actually have decorations next year.

I would like to think that I'm a happy person about 90-95% of the time. It really helps that for the first time in my life I have a job that I actually enjoy waking up to go to. Like everyone else I have my moments of unhappyness though.

I survived. No major disasters. A coupe of emergencies but nothing really serious. The one paramedic did try to screw with me a couple of times but I knew what he was doing. I was lucky with the crews that I had on my first night alone. Now tonight will be a whole different story.

Thanks. I've also been warned though that the crews like to give the new dispatchers shit. They'll refuse to do stuff and things like that. I just gotta remember not to take any of their shit. I already had one guy tell me that if I made him go to Pittsburgh (about an hour from here) he'd quit on me. We'll see what happens I guess.

So it's my first night shift alone at my job. I'm a dispatcher for the local ambulance company. They have officially taken off my training wheels. I'm slightly nervous that all hell is going to break lose in the middle of the night. Wish me luck. (At least I know I won't be getting any calls from the DZ during my shift. )

Rayman Raving Rabids is fun. It's just a bunch of mini games. Paper Mario is a GREAT game. Definitely one of my favorite Marios. The new DDR for the wii is cool too. Took me a while to get the hang of some of the new stuff but I love it. Mario Party 8 is great for big groups of people. Especially big groups of people who have been drinking.

I selected other mainly because I'm in the middle of taking an EMT class. Assuming all goes well and I pass my state exam I should be an EMT by mid January.

I don't know which is worse...that or the fact that I'm spending my Friday night at home studying while watching Footloose. I wish I was out having fun but instead I'm sitting around worried sick about a test I have to take tomorrow. Oh well...such is life.

Yes...I am a dork who owns a Wii. Yes...I'm an even bigger dork cause I bought the new DDR for the Wii. But I LOVE IT. Once you get used to the new features on it it's great. I think the songs are alot better and the dance steps make more sense then they did in previous DDR's. Ok...dorky rant over.
