I appologize dave if you took anything I posted as a poke at your DZ. that was certainly not my intention. kinda sounds like the OP is in need of some encouragement, and or guidance, something that can be found at a DZ with alot of upjumpers,coaches instructors,etc. not to say he's not getting that where he's at. just giving my opinion, as it helped me and my boys greatly to be at the DZ were at now. not at a tandem factory type DZ where youre good as gold (literally) while youre paying high dollar for tandem and AFF, then when you clear youre a piece of shit, not to be bothered with. cause youre not worth the time or effort cause everybody's got a job to do. surely dave with your numbers and expirience you know that these types of DZ's are out there. fuk em and all the DZ's just like em. dang bro Y ????? as others have posted maybe you need go to another DZ, you'll thank yourself later. I moved on after my AFF from the tandem factory DZ that I started at, basicly once we were cleared to self supervise we were wothless. only way we got a slot was if there was a tandem video, or if real lucky a single instructor AFF then ther was two slots and you might get a 2-way if some other fool actually was there sitting around all day. it went so far one day that 4 of us were sitting around, about 1 hour before next tandem, blue skies beautiful weather plane just parked out in front the hanger, we asked " there is 4 of us why not put up a load" we were told " that even with 4 fun jumpers that they could barely cover fuel and it was'nt worth it" mind you that these were $22 slots to 10,000ft real shitty feeling!! well since then now that we jump at a real cool as fuk dropzone, in my big wopin 42 jump count I have : 14 2-ways 6 3-ways two with 1 hyb. piece 4 4-ways one with rodeo exit and too much fun, great coaching/mentoring, lots of new friends and people to jump with, awesome vibes, awesome jumpship, 14,000ft in about 10min $22, tons of expierienced jumpers, everybody is like family, and they give a shit about you and/or to jump with you, oh did I mention sooooo mmmuch fun and good times. so if you really want to jump there are beter places out there, and yes believe in your instructors, but most importantly believe in yourself, and move on, so your jump #,s , expierience, and fun factor dont suffer. blue skies my friend if you want a friend feed any animal Perry Farrell

I bought a brand new container, that was built exactly for me, the thing fits like a glove, its so comfortable I can barely tell I have a rig on. its small, and I got to pick the colors. $1,400 with all options avail. it was made to fit my 210 spectre snugly, I can fit a 190 possibly a bit smaller in it no problem. my main canopy is brand new, and the smallest i've piloted yet. the smallest being a (f-111) 215 falcon several times. but last 10 or so jumps I was under a 240 navgator w/zero-p topskin. basicly because to me it seemed the nav. was a more responsive canopy, with a much more powerful flare. I learned more about canopy control and landing on that thing than coming in blazing smashing in to the ground on the 215. that being said, for my first canopy I've already downsized, when I develop the skills to squezze every last bit of speed and perfomance out of that thing, then perhaps I might want to downsize again, which my container will allow me to do so, and still fit me like a glove. should I choose to progress past the 190 range several hundred jumps from now I will then have several options, keep that rig so that I will always have a somewhat docile canopy for whatever reason I choose, and buy exactly what I want because by then I will have a better understanding of the performance characteristics that work to tailor my style. as for the 210 who knows I paid $1,300 brand new out the box nice looking canopy (bla,yel,bla,yel,bla,blu,bla) very unique. if I put 200 jumps on it and take care of it I shouldnt have a problem getting $800-$900 for it, or who knows that might be my docile canopy, i,m already slightly over 1:1 on it. I had a bad spot my second jump on it and was glad I had it. everybody on the load myself included rode the rears and barely made it. I had enough space to turn it into the wind and land safely on the airport, had I been a knucklehead buying the smallest canopy I came across, or somebody was trying to push down my throat, who knows, the trees maybe, downwind in 10mph winds, lot of dirty jumpsuits that day. mine wasnt one of em. downsize away my 13 jump friend, and good luck, hope you make it to become an excellent canopy pilot. spinletto @ 1.3 lb/ft wing load, 13 jumps= nigggggaaa is you crazy!!! respect the nylon fooolll!!!! why get that rig, why not get something more docile that you can actually jump, get used to, and live to learn in. my body weight is 185 or so out the plane im 215 or so. I'm flyin a 210 spectre @ little over 1:1, container is nice and small, very comfortable, and the canopy is quite fast, and extremely responsive. more than I know what to do with yet. paid right @ 4000 for it . could have gotten a really nice rig with a brand new sabre2 170 in it for about half the price. I guess it would be realistic to say that I will be under a 170 one day. but whats the point, why jump all kind of rental gear till then, besides with that crapolla you never know what youll end up with. dont be that guy, you know the one on the plane jumping rental gear, sayin " I got my own gear, i,m just jumping this ragedy crap till I can jump mine" if you want a friend feed any animal Perry Farrell

I use to have dreams that I was flyin all the time, in order to fly though I would have to get a running start, then make my arms like in a swimming motion and there I was flying, or pretty much swimming through the air. if I quit swimming I would come crashing down. cool shit, love them dreams.......but now that I skydive had the recurring flying dream twice, no more running start, no more swimming. from just standing in place swept my arms back like in a tracking position, and I was flying. first time I took off and just kept going into the sky, never to return(sucked). second time I was flyin and landing all over the place, was acting quite a fool..... weird stuff anyway, how do you fly in your dreams??? if you want a friend feed any animal Perry Farrell

I myself have ommited deco, and violated no fly times in the past, without incident. on the other hand I have seen so many get bent for no reason what so ever. as you stated many many factors, proper hydration before/after,hot shower, etc ... if you want a friend feed any animal Perry Farrell
