Even in Chicago, with three of the most compeditive DZ's anywhere, it's pretty rare to find DZ staff that dis the competition. That's bad karma, if you ask me. _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999

Just keep that kick-ass attitude of yours up. One day you'll move out of my front pocket, we'll do some jumpin. Won't that be fun! Mind you, I kinda like the idea of you living in my front pocket... _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999

I've got a few friends that do this, and they're finding it really tough work to do independently... The low end is being encroached(sp?) by off the shelf hardware that does it out of the box. The high end means selling to companies, and there's tons visual media specialists in the field... Plus, just don't sell your gear. I'd hate to see you get out of this sport. I have this nagging feeling that once you sell your gear you're probably not gonna come back... _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999

Good luck today, Lisa. I was at Hinckley last september which was the ten year aniversary to the beech crash that killed 12 - everyone on board. It was a strange night, almost magical. All the old timers came out, many people came out that gave up the sport afterwards. Again we had three generations around the fire, gallons of tequila, everyone telling stories of good times and good friends in days long past. Lest we never forget... _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999

I will use my pull up to put small rubber bands on to my d-bag. I've got big fingers and have trouble with the small bands. I use the pull up to thread the rubber band through itself. And Dave: Tieing your lines scares me. I can introduce you to three people who lost three different friends years ago by doing this... _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999

I read about this yesterday. I won't say that his music will be missed, because he wasn't doing much right now anyways. I will say that his music will be remembed. On a lighter note, when I read the Subject, I assumed you were talking about this: ftp://216.80.52.178/base/boxMan.mpg (1.1MB download. I'm impressed that the demonstrators are learning to not be violent. I was in both Ottawa and Quebec city when they got trashed. I never understood how these people thought they were helping. One of my good friends from high school regularly got arrested for demonstrating when he was in college. He'd usually play the passive role, refusing to move, getting carried off by the cops. The cops hated him because he was pretty fat, and the cops would have hernias trying to move him. Adrian was one of those individuals who would just go demonstrate for pretty much any cause, he had at least SOME belief in most causes, plus I think he just liked stiring shit. He eventually learned that people like him weren't helping. Plus he got tired of spending the night in jail. In a slightly strange example of irony, he's a fireman now. Not as funny as if he'd been a cop, but still funny. You got some really good pics there. It must've been an interesting way to spend the day. _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999

Most of the DZ's I've been to just go on the honor system - if people drink they don't jump. Most of these DZ's are small enough so that you would know if somebody was doing both. It's a regular occurance at one DZ I frequent that people turn down the sunset load because they cracked a beer. I don't have a big problem with this. I only saw this abused once, and it was at a small DZ in upstate NY. It also wasn't beer, it was weed. This specific individaul was delt with. If people want to drink and then jump, a light the DZO turns on at a certain time isn't going to stop them. They'll just go out behind the hanger, or in their car, or somwhere else they won't be seen. I'd rather the DZO just teaches people to say 'no' after the bottle gets cracked. _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999

0:0:1 The weather in Illinois sucked, so I went for a road trip down to Archway. Their weather forcast looked moderately less sucky then in Chicago. The forcast was wrong.... friggin 400 foot ceilings all day. 1st time at Archway. Met some way cool peeps. Had an awsome time partying last night, even though we couldn't get the hot tub suite... Doh! The Archway crowd is awsome. Even though we didn't jump, I did have a wonderful time. _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999

The left, of course. Cause, well - there's a reason there's less room over there. I'm leaving at first light! No, wait. It's 2:30 right now. I'm leaving at 8:00am! I'll pick ya up! No, wait. You're in florida, I'm in Chicago. I'll be there in 4 days. No, wait. Gotta work on monday. ***Andy - I'm sure you could cram a gimp in there - right? And maybe I'd also fit in your pocket and you could take me on a SKYDIVE this weekend. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!*** Dove, a hottie like you could hop in my boot any time you like. Hmph. That sounds weird. Ok, well - my pocket is available any time you want it! :P _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999

Yeah, the Preludes are pretty. Mines black with heavy black tint, plus black leather inside. I have two complaints. I don't have a trunk, I have a boot. Literally. I joke that it will fit a pair of boots, in reality I can fit my gear bag, but I have to squish it. I DO have a literal glove box. It will hold a pair of gloves, and that's about it. My, the grass is a lovely shade of green over there.... Hmmm. _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999

Awww... That's shitty. I hate it when DZ's badmouth their neighbours. It usually just shows a DZ that's insecure about what they got. Think of it this way - it's a good thing! You're just gonna have to come back to Chicago!

I did something like this in heavy winds. I attached a line from my risers to an aircraft tie down, my friends helped launch the canopy into heavy winds.. I flew for a few minutes, before it got boring. _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999

most of the DZ's around chicago already have kisosks of some sort set up. Usually they're pretty basic, just a monitor, keyboard, and mouse on a table with the cpu behind the wall. Good luck, though. _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999
