No. Either I was frustrated because I was spending time with her and not jumping, or I was feeling guilty that I was off jumping when she wanted me home. I want to spend my time WITH the person I love, not away from them. For me, right now, that means a skydiver. Simple things that couples do - go shopping togeather, go out dancing, spend the day putting up wallpaper. I always wanted to do these things during the week, she wanted to do it on weekend. She was really great about it - she'd go out shopping while I jumped. She didn't give me shit for it either. I still felt guilty though... I dated her for almost two years, and didn't jump NEARLY enough during this time frame. I did decide that I'm not going to date whuffos. I've met so many awsome skydivers since I lost my "anchor", I don't think this is going to be a problem. Even if I don't meet my own sky-chicky right now, I'm perfectly happy wasting my weekends at the DZ doing the thing I love. I think the church is deserving of any critisism that gets launched its way over this. That they tolerated what was going on is simply disgusting, and makes me question the very nature of what a church is suposed to be doing. What they did is indefensible. Skyhawk: I can't imagine how relieved you must've felt when you found out nothing had happened. Did you call police, notifiy authorities, or do something to get that perv some attention? How's the child? Children frequently could use come kind of councelling after that. Wearing gloves is a simple necesity up in the north. I see you're in winipeg, I can't imagine a Canadian DZO telling you not to wear gloves. In the late spring or early fall I'll usually pull out some mountain biking gloves. They're real thin and just enough to keep the wind off my hands, which is great. As it gets colder I'll pull out some football gloves. They're warmer, have some insulation, but still small and tight enough that they won't limit my dexterity. When I jump in februray when there's two feet of snow, I pull out my ski gloves. Yup, those big puffy gortex gloves. I think maybe it's the leather palms, but I practiced finding my handles countless times, and never had a problem. Pulling my handles and getting into my toggles were easy. I can say this with confidence, I had my first cuttaway while wearing big puffy ski gloves. There's clearly arguments against the big puffy ski gloves, but the football gloves? I would think that it'd be a whole lot more safer to wear those then go bare. I think that's a bit of a stretch. The system that Lisa pointed out is said to have the intelligence of a 9 month old. The cool thing about this system is that it does learn langugage, and is specialised in language.
