I was wondering how long this would go until we got a "Magnificent Meat Missle" joke.... I thint that qualifies. _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999

Yup, I'm with Phree on this one. If you ever truely had a "1200 foot opening" you would've chopped it, assuming it was a mal. I once claimed to have had one. I honestly thought I did. Then I saw the video, and we did the math. Allan's explanation fit perfectly... Another lesson learned... _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999

It sounds like a good deal to me. Val was selling kiss passes for a buck each... I think you just out-sold her in one sale! _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999

Hmmm.... I'll leave the drugs out for now. They're good stories, really good ones. They involve authority figures of ALL kinds... Highlights of highschool include singng Carmina Burana in Massey Hall - Canada's equivalent to Carnegie Hall, driving the 450 kilometer trip from Toronto to Ottawa in under two hours (do the math....), touring across the country with a Jazz Choir, and about 18 times I didn't get arrested for being a SERIOUS little shit. _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999

That's something you definately should do, and do often. ALWAYS ask questions. No matter how stupid you think the question might be... ask it. And jumping your first packjob is entirely psychological. It's a big hurdle to get over in your mind, but packing a parachute really isn't that tough. If we were rational about these things we wouldn't worry about our first pack job as much as we do. _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999

My first unsupervised pack job just wracked my nerves. I was visiting a new DZ and didn't want to admit that I wasn't signed of for packing. I'd done a lot of supervised pack jobs but never one completely on my own. I packed it and jumped it on my own at the new DZ. Maybe it's just my memory but it was the best opening I ever had on that canopy.... _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999

Nah, that's ok. The last picture I took was of you. j/k - if you did break the camera it's cause you're so cute... Repairs being made tomorow... Crappy Nikon! _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999

I've never heard of tipping the cleaning staff. Generally, all the people who do get tips tend to be front line customer service - bartenders, hairdressers, cabbies, etc. Cleaning staff aren't front line. _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999

??:0:0 Weather hosed all weekend. Friday night at the local pub, then a "Porno Party" at the DZO's house on saturday. All fun and no work makes Andy a happy boy. _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999

Go into Tools / Internet Options / Security, and set your security to "Medium". The go to the General Tab, and click "Delete Cookies" and "Delete Files". Lastly, click the "Settings" button, and select "Every Visit To the Page". The chat will not work if you're behind certain types of firewalls, usually if you're trying to be on at work. If this is the case it just might be your boss spying on you... _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999

Square 1,2, and 3 doesn't. Chicagoland won't sell one. I don't believe Aerohio does anymore, either. Para-Servica and Para-Gear literally sell EVERYTHING. I'm not surprised they carry them. I suppose there's value in having a complete offering. I prefer retailers who sell product they recomend, though. Maybe that was harsh on the others, I dunno. I've not had experiences with them. I have had experiences with Parasport Italia, and I'll say again that their customer support is the worst in skydiving, and their products have major design flaws, including delaminating paint(second week), lenses falling off (3rd jump), neck liner falling out (20th jump), visor lock failure (4 weeks), and chin straps failing(31st jump). My Z1 has been the most labor intensive piece of skydiving gear I've purchased. It CONSTANTLY requires repair. And yes, during this time it was stored properly in a protective felt bag. _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999

I've seen "hunting" for a heading on every jump I ever did on a Big Air Sportz Lotus and Samurai, Icarus Crossfire and PD Stiletto - in short, every highly loaded eliptical canopy I've jumped. I've come to appreciate the jumps where it only "hunts" - meaning it will turn back and forth but not give me more then a 45 degree off heading. _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999

Chicagoland (Hinckley) jumpers do a yearly pilgramage to SkyVenture Orlando. This is organized by the jumpers with the support of the DZO's. The DZO's usually accompany the jumpers. Quite the week, from what I understand. This is the way it should be, IMHO. Tunnel time is very valuable in perfecting RW skills. I don't think it's ever been used seriously as part of a first jump course. That just seems like overkill. _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999
