  1. I'm headed to Titusville in about an hour to watch. A friend has a spot on the river with a clear view of the pad.
  2. You folks need it. I was just up in Binghamton, NY and although it wasn't really what most would consider cold, it was cold enough for me. 'course, the lack of humidity was nice. "Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest" ~Samuel Clemens MB#4300 Dudeist Skydiver #68
  3. TGIF, welcome back, and pass the cream and sugar. Just returned from a business trip myself and I'll tell ya, those little coffee pots in hotel rooms just don't cut it. This weekend? Well, despite a forcast calling for record heat, i'm planning on hitting 200 jumps. Not yet sure how I want to mark his milestone, but I know beer will be owed. "Always do right. 6. I remember one time... no, that's not it. Oh - once, I was doing it and... no... wanted to be there that time. Oh yea, once, with this cute blonde, I was thinking about... well, sex... OK, no. I pretty much wanted to be there each and every time. "Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest" ~Samuel Clemens MB#4300 Dudeist Skydiver #68
  7. It's going to be a perfect weekend to jump here in central FL. Too bad I have to carry my (un)happy little ass out to San Diego on Sunday to work next week. Saturday is out due to previously made plans . No humpy, no jumpy, no beer for me "Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest" ~Samuel Clemens MB#4300 Dudeist Skydiver #68
  8. (yawn)...Good morning... I forgot to set the timer on the coffe pot last night Coffee sure does smell good when it fresh brewed. Ya'all have a nice day. "Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest" ~Samuel Clemens MB#4300 Dudeist Skydiver #68

  10. Sounds like age discrimination to me. If it's due to physical abilities at +40ish age, I'm sure I can hold my own against most 25 yr olds. I thought certification by the state (in this case FL) was required to apply. "Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest" ~Samuel Clemens MB#4300 Dudeist Skydiver #68
  11. I am quickly approaching the time to make a huge decision in life. As I knock on the door to retirement from the military, I need to decide what I want to be when I am forced to grow up. I can very likely stay where I am and make pretty much the same amount of annual income (once I add my retirement pay) or I can move on to something new. Where I am is not a bad job (acquisition logistics), just not overly exciting. Typical cube farm/paper shuffling stuff, with an occasional road trip thrown in to break up the monotony. What I am also considering is a total departure from what I know and trying my hand at law enforcement. This would entail ~20K yr cut in pay but sounds very much exciting/rewarding (and not in a cubicle). My only concern is that I am in my early 40's and may not be marketable to the local Police/Sheriff dept due to that. I need to make the decision soon so I can pass off my long-term projects here (and pass on this job opportunity) and go to the police academy at night (for 9 months). So the question is, has anybody else out there gotten into LE later in life and is it worth it? "Always do right. 13. I voted during freefall. Happened to me while a student, at the bottom of a swoop to my instructor. I was just about to take a grip on him when it happened. Normal main deployment other than the fact that i didn't initiate it. Got my attention, that's for sure (and made for a long canopy ride). I figure though, that the forces acting on/around your rig are higher at terminal speeds than on climbout. Of course, snags on climbout are a different story. "Always do right. 14. : 3 : 0 One Solo (just for the hell of it) One 2-way that was a fun RW drill One 4-way that totally rocked considering we had never jumped together before. Pushing the big 200. I need to figure out what to do to mark this milestone. "Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest" ~Samuel Clemens MB#4300 Dudeist Skydiver #68

  20. They say it's really easy to gain weight when your trying to quit because your so used to the action of putting somthing into your mouth. As lovely as you appear to be, it would be a shame to see you put on weight. Being the kind and selfless person that I am , I would like to offer you an alternative to food so you can maintain your girlish figure. "Always do right.
