  1. Awwww, thanks, everybody!
  2. Good point. I HOPE I've made progress since I originally registered on there! I just need to hit someone up to have them do an update.
  3. Is there any question? CU it is! Boulder is GREAT, we have the mountains for almost anything you like in all four seasons, we have a wind tunnel, and we have MileHi when you want to jump. I won't pretend to represent MileHi because that should come from those who jump there, but you would be hard pressed to find a better state. Make a trip out here to do some jumping--I mean, check out the campus--and give it a first-hand look!
  4. I've never seen one. Does anyone do this? I'm so far behind I could never reconstruct my time, anyway. TPM Sister #102
  5. It's also fun to use static electricity to affix a balloon to a cat's fur. They don't like either one! TPM Sister #102
  6. Apparently you still somehow are able to make it "safe" for them to speak up. Don't lose sight of that! TPM Sister #102

    Weird e-mail

I really don't think it's that complicated. Take it from the good little church girl. . . . I'm really certain he's just saying "see you tomorrow if it's God's will" because nothing happens that God doesn't allow. Signing off with the word "Blessings" is not uncommon in Christian circles. It's like sending good "vibes" by wishing for positive things for someone. If you're not in those circles, though, it has a tendency just to sound strange. TPM Sister #102

If it does, can I borrow him? I have trash and laundry. . . . TPM Sister #102

    Weird e-mail

Just sounds like "church talk" to me. Sometimes people don't even think about what it's going to sound like to others. It probably doesn't mean that anyone is in for a brainwashing session. At least he didn't sign off with curses, hexes and other evil intentions!

That was how I read it, too. Sometimes people say things without realizing how it's going to sound when someone else reads it, but I think you're okay. I didn't take it as actually "creepy." TPM Sister #102
  12. CONGRATULATIONS! You two deserve--I mean, you two were made for each other! I couldn't be happier for you.
  13. AWESOME! I've never been on the edge of suicide, but there have been plenty of times over the years when I've wished I had a doctor who felt the need to delve a little deeper about other things. I've never held back information that I knew to be relevant to the medical issue at hand, but there have definitely been things that I might have said had someone asked. Don't get me wrong: I absolutely think that patients have responsibility for their own health and that they should volunteer the information that they think is important. On the other hand, sometimes the "peripheral" stuff that is only vaguely relevant to the matter at hand is substantial enough in its own right. It's the old red herring from law school--what are REALLY the important facts? Looks like you have a good antenna. I hope you continue to use it, even when it's not necessarily a matter of life and death! TPM Sister #102

    John Mayer

Saw him in concert this fall. He was FANTASTIC. TPM Sister #102
  15. I don't think anyone is questioning the quality of sartre's work. As I understand it, it's more a question of the boss walking away and leaving sartre to clean up the mess--if she can--yet again. At least the problem isn't poor performance!! TPM Sister #102
  16. Ask her how long she would like her rope. TPM Sister #102
  17. You know all the things I'm thinking about that woman and none of them are particularly nice. Let's just hope that her work habits are as transparent from above her on the corporate ladder as they are from below. They're lucky to have you there and I hope they know it--where "they" means more than the boss you cover for day in and day out. TPM Sister #102
  18. The concept was great--but they just couldn't quite stand it and had to tell us what we missed during their "week off." In my view, "ignoring" means that they should have truly ignored her, and not just saved up the little newsy tidbits for the end of the week. (Wow--since when did I get so grumpy? ) TPM Sister #102

    Snow in Denver

For tunnel time, yes--absolutely!!! The only help I want is in the form of coaching. You'd be amazed at how effective snow is at clearing out the schedule. TPM Sister #102

    Snow in Denver

ROFL! Yesterday's snow wasn't bad--only about 4" at my house. Now we're into March, though, which is our snowiest month of the year. You thought we were complaining BEFORE. . . . (On the other hand, the more snow we get, the more cancellations there are at the tunnel and the more time that means they have on the books for ME!! Wooohooooo!) TPM Sister #102
  21. GO FOR IT!! I DO wish you luck and know it will be terrific. Just think--in a very short while, it will all be behind you!
  22. These posts are pretty much just giving me headaches, which must mean I've found my place in the world. I don't know anything else, but at least I'm in the right location.
  23. QuoteYeah, I think tunnels should post a sign: "warning, may be hazardous to your bank account"
  24. What, and get out of my comfort zone?! (Yeah, okay--that's fair!) TPM Sister #102
  25. That's too perfect! Sorry the game didn't go better, but I'm really glad you got to see the ceremony. A full hour--that's impressive! TPM Sister #102
