  1. I know! It's a little unreal. Good for them!!! TPM Sister #102
  2. Sounds like me . . . trying to bowl. TPM Sister #102
  3. Well, have a GREAT time! Just be sure you take care of yourself between now and then. TPM Sister #102
  4. This just might be your own personal thorn in the flesh. It doesn't make it any more appealing or pleasant, but hopefully it is just for a season--a long season, no doubt, but maybe just a season, nonetheless. If it makes you focus on God and pushes you to trust Him, there is something positive to be gained in the midst of the circumstances. Of COURSE you're entitled to have some fear. You're not going through something that is just a minor inconvenience; you're dealing with matters that deserve serious attention. Pain is exhausting and frustrating, and that can't be helping your outlook right now. I know I've never met you so it's a bit presumptuous to say, but I care that you're going through all of this, too. Yes, it may be the internet--which, at its worst, can be pretty rotten. On the other hand, there are some great people on the other end of all those computers, too, and it's obvious that you have a lot of people on here who DO care. I'm glad you said something. You'll be in my prayers, too. TPM Sister #102
  5. Okay, they're lovely pics but it doesn't sound like he's ready to accept reality as far as his concept goes. I'd rather deal with my staples! GOOD FOR HIM for not being retired, though! I won't speculate on whether he SHOULD retire, but at least he's getting out there and keeping his brain busy. TPM Sister #102
  6. Orange is actually a good idea. Maybe someone will get the hint that you are attempting to get their attention! TPM Sister #102
  7. Silly, the birkenstocks go with socks. White ones. Black dress socks are just tacky. TPM Sister #102
  8. Can't help you with the medical question, but I'm REALLY happy for you about the tunnel. I'm sure you'll be able to get in by Thanksgiving, but I definitely understand the concern. I'd be heartbroken to miss the tunnel, ANY time! Which one are you going to? I hope you heal quickly! TPM Sister #102
  9. I hope the new place is at least fantastic! Moving, though--that's kind of up a notch from your basic pet peeve. I think that's like . . . actual torture. Oh, and about the methane--YES, NOW I GET IT!!! TPM Sister #102
  10. Seriously, I could hug you right about now. I HATE THAT!! I'm very sorry about the Billpay thing. It's not like it's rocket science. I never know if people just ignore things like that or if they just don't care. TPM Sister #102
  11. ABSOLUTELY! If you had the patience for it, you could start your own business, changing addresses for all the people who want to commit assault and battery when they try to do it themselves. Then again, you'd have to have good mental health coverage in your insurance package! Is this a home or an office move? TPM Sister #102
  12. I have no clue what you said. None. But in the spirit of my thread, I am behind you 1000%. (And I would think that convincing a 90-year-old retired engineer of ANYTHING would be challenging enough, anyway.) TPM Sister #102
  13. I guess you can't move any more. This is it. Last stop. TPM Sister #102
  14. ROFL! I never texted anybody until I started hanging out with the skydiving crowd. They are apparently much cooler than I am, in the texting sense. Did you get my non-text to your non-reply? TPM Sister #102
  15. Painting?? And yes, pretty much anybody with a set of car keys is eligible for the pet peeve list! GET OUT OF THE WAY, PEOPLE! (That accomplished nothing, but I feel better.) TPM Sister #102
  16. LOL--Thanks for feeding my pet peeve. It wouldn't be so bad, but there are a couple of hundred documents. They're not *ALL* terrible; it's just enough that it started getting to me. My guess is that this was a rush job. If the appropriate person was here today, I actually might give it back. At the moment, it seems easier just to fix it since she's out sick today. C'mon, SURELY you can come up with SOMETHING.
  17. I completely understand that. You'd think the distance to an actual parking place was overwhelming. (Remember, I'm grumpy today. I will complain about anything! ) TPM Sister #102
  18. Today has been a little trying, anyway, so I'm more easily irked, I suppose, than on a normal day. But still, how hard is it to line up pages neatly before stapling them so they stack well??? I have a pile of contracts on my desk and they are stapled together somewhat randomly. I am taking the time out to pull out the old staples and re-do them because it's making me crazy. (Oh, and now I'm taking the time to vent about it to you! I believe this officially qualifies me for the "high maintenance" thread.) So, what's bugging you today? TPM Sister #102

    I passed!

CONGRATS! That's excellent news! I remember waiting up until midnight when the results would post. Hitting "refresh" on the computer was agonizing, but seeing my name there was GOLD!
  20. Hey--that's not very nice! I would've paid BIG BUCKS to see that game against the Devils!!!
  21. Life always improves with the start of the hockey season!

    CONGRATS LISAH

Nah, I don't see it that way. It's just giving Lisa a chance to be the one to share her good news and it pushes her to say it when she might not have initiated it on her own.
  23. Reminds me of a Del Taco experience I had once, when I went through the drive through and they asked if it was "for here or to go." Ummmm, let's think about that one, shall we??? TPM Sister #102
