I was horrified when people started including registry information in invitations but I do think it's becoming fairly mainstream to do so now. I don't think *I* could do it myself, but I'm no longer offended when I receive an invitation with that extra information. I still notice that it's included, though. . . . And yes, I have also had a lot of success with the do-it-yourself research approach. You can usually predict where you might find someone's registry and it never takes long to locate it. I know nothing about baseball and am not pretending that I do. I heard someone say that because the guy at home plate blocked it when he didn't have possession of the ball, the Rockies player would have been declared safe anyway, even if he DIDN'T touch home plate.
