Let's do a thought experiment. I flip a coin. It comes up heads. The next time I flip the coin, is it guaranteed to come up tails? By your logic it must, but common sense says that no matter how many times I flip that coin, on the next flip the odds of getting tails is always 50/50.

The audio and video files are in the same file and possibly encrypted, so just copying files won't work. You might try a program like this (I don't know how functional the free trial version is). It makes MP3s, then you can burn those to a CD.

0:3:0 Got a new toy (attached). Now I need to pick a helmet. Didn't realize how many options I had until I really started looking.

Funny coincidence. On my last jump we landed 13 miles off of the airport on a reverse cross cross country. The uppers were cranking so we took the 182 up to 10,500, spotted ourselves directly over the DZ, did clear and pulls, then turned downwind and let 'em fly.

What about the Cannon D10? I thought that was the hot-shit camera right now. The 10D and Digital Rebel have a similar feature set (details here) and a $600 price difference. There have been lots of discussions on here about the specifics.

Actually, all three of those are on the small card.

Q: How many drumers does it take to change a light bulb? A: Three. One to change the bulb and two to talk about how fucking awesome Neil Peart is at changing lightbulbs. Anyway, back to the subject at hand... I've seen They Might Be Giants live a handful of times. Always a great show, never gets stale.

Last year I camped for 5 nights and drank 30+ free beers. That's worth it to me.

I haven't posted a "hey everybody, look at this" link in a while, so here we go. Ben Fry. I like, in no particular order, dismap, zipdecode, and deconstructulator.

A few months ago I ruined my old case in a bizarre accident involving an air compressor. I never liked the thing anyway, it was way to big. So I went shopping and found the attached case for $60 at a local discount shop. There's nothing I hate more than a lazy modder. I mean, people who put lots of effort into an original mod are cool. I just think that plexi and cold cathodes have been done to death. Which is why I'm sort of ashamed to own this case (even though it does look way cool in the dark).

AFF and static line are separate programs. Static line students move on to freefall after 5 or more jumps. In most cases, static line and AFF end up costing about the same. I went with static line because the individual jumps were cheaper, so instead of making 3 jumps a month, I could afford three every other weekend. If I was doing it over and I had the cash to do the whole program up front, I would seriously consider AFF. If I was in the same position (college student, part time job), I would do static line.

Uh, no. The floating ice displaces an equal mass of water. Here's the experiment: Put a bunch of icecubes in a cup. Fill the cup with water so that it is completely full. Let the ice melt. I bet the water level in the cup will remain exactly the same, and that no water will have spilled over.

The main problem I had with the TRV is that the lense is on the far left side (looking through the viewfinder) of the camera body. I wouldn't jump it without a box for fear of losing the lense. The box, according to Quade, is about 3.25" wide including the lense shield. The PC105 is about 2" wide, not counting lenses and batteries, which will stick out a bit. I plan on using a bracket with a camera condom and no box.

LOL. Simpsons quote: Agent: Let me get this straight. You took all the money you made franchising your name and bet it AGAINST the Harlem Globetrotters? Krusty: I thought the Generals were due! He's spinning the ball on his finger! Just take it! Take the ball! That game was fixed. He was using a freakin ladder for gods sake.
-
Yeah, it was mostly an excercise in wasting time and using as many pieces as possible. Edit to add: You can actually win with one piece.
-
I thought long and hard about both, and I'm going with the PC105. After a lot of internal debate, research on these forums, and talking to my local camera fliers, I decided that a sidemount camera would be best for me. I'm not comfortable with trading the cost savings for the extra width of the TRV19/22/33 series in a sidemount. If I was top mounting, I would go with the TRV.

Nothing going on here at work so I made one. My head hurts.

I am considering buying an X-box just for KOTOR. Kinda on the fence still. -
That's the way most pawn shops work. The money they give you is a loan, and the item you give them is collateral. If you can pay back the money plus interest within a certain period, you get the item back. Otherwise they turn around and sell it. Most people who pawn things don't plan on paying the money back, they are just using the pawn shop to convert their item into cash (and usually taking a huge loss in the process).

I had mine freeze as well, only I was using it as a visual altimeter. It apparently froze at about 400 feet, so I didn't even notice until I was walking back from the landing area. I keep foretting to update the firmware That's gonna bite me in the ass one of these days.

Pardon me. In my earlier post I should have said, "most colonist remained loyal to Britain or chose to remain neutral." Clearly a small factual error totally invalidates my argument. My most sincere apologies. I am done with this thread.
