Never had a line snag, but the calibration knob had been bumped on my alti II. Either in the plane or in the air, i'm not sure which. But it added 400'. Scary. Now have both alti's

I have the same problem. Here's what i do. Make sure it's dark. Go up to someone and slowly reach to touch them. As the bright blue spark jumps between you , watch them run and scream, as you stand there laughing. Doesn't hurt so much now, does it? Works for me anyway.

Is that the porn chick that did the 300 way a few years ago? I saw her on Howard Stern and she said she had some serious puddin' problems after that. I bet! Gives new meaning to the phrase Big Way. -
Saturday weather is supposed to suck. WINDY. If it's nice i'll be there. Otherwise it'll be on sunday.

Hey JFC3, check sundays wx. It should be a good day for your new rig to come out and play. Beer! Kentucky

In that case, since the mega bootie includes zippers. Should i get cordura booties w/pleats/no zipper or get the mega w/pleats/no zipper? And what about square grips?

Develop muscle memory by practicing more on the ground. Try toe taps in freefall. It should give a reference as to what position your legs are in.
-
If you have mini risers with a non collapsible slider, slinks don't work very well. That's what happened to me.

I'm getting ready to order a new Bev suit and I'm looking for info on "must haves" and "not absolutely necessary". I plan on getting into some serious 4-way, so the more feedback I can get, the better. I have a certificate for this suit, so a different MFR is out of the question at this time. It will be poly cotton with a loose fit.

I Sounds like you've been hanging out with that french guy again.

Thanks everyone. Not getting too serious about this, but I have some old tailoring skills that could now be put to good use. AndyMan's previous post on this had some good input.

Haven't been able to find this past thread by search. Can someone help? Wasn't posted that long ago. Thanks

I've got a Turbo ZX225 and the openings are usually soft and slow. 800-900 ft deployment is the norm for me. Loaded @ 1:1

Hey Mike, will that be Mr.& Mrs. T-Bone or are you keeping her away from the fire. Congrats!!! Kentucky

Try Kira@skysystemsltd.com. I've used it recently and it works.

There is a thumb ramp on the mounting clip to release the pro track. Whether or not it helps on the A3, I don't know. L&B recommends you mount it on your leg for the cleanest air possible. Tolerances listed are from their user manual. Exit alt. +/- 1.2% Deployment alt. +/- 100ft. Freefall time +/- 1 second Speed when mounted on wrist/leg +/- 3mph Thanks for the responses, they have raised more ?'s than I expected. BEER with me!

I'm getting a good deal on 1 of these helmets. My choice of either. Any suggestions as well as pros/cons are appreciated. Also, has anyone heard/have a Sky Systems helmet sized (XL point 5). Sounds odd, but they say it's a valid size. Thanks in advance.

Yes, at The Ranch we do have a yearly membership fee of $55. But we get, $15 jumps, free beer and pizza on Sat nite and more. For me, it's well worth it. Non members pay $17, so it would take 28 jumps to break even. If you weren't going to make that many, then it wouldn't be worth it. While I can't say exactly how many paid members we have, i would guess that # to be around 500.
-
The Ranch gets $15. You get more than 13.5 on most every jump. 14k plus is common.

Might be the Pointer Sisters from the mid to late 70's. Not absolutely sure. But sounds familiar.

My reserve has a tuck tab.

I have a Talon (dom 95) and i'm very happy with it. Since it is my first rig, I can't compare it with anything else other than student gear. I replaced the soft cutaway housings and reverse risers. Go to Rigging Innovations website for more info. Quote

It's gelcoat on the fiberglass, and it's to the point of pieces coming off. Example: shell on a hard boiled egg as it comes off. It's an older FP-1.
-
The gelcoat on my helmet has started cracking unbelievably. Started as a small spot, but now it's all over. Maybe I should get a new one? Anyone else had this problem? dom in 96.

I think it's a great idea. We're all searching for what can go wrong, what does go wrong, and how it could've been avoided (hopefully). It would even more beneficial to those at less busy dz's who aren't surrounded by people with thousands of jumps.
