So, how did you work the focus? My 7D doesn't autofocus in video mode, so I'm curious about how you did it. Also, what software did you use to edit? Did you process for color? What DZ was this? I don't have words to say how bad I miss Quincy and Rantoul. I really thought that there would be some national level boogie to take its place, but it seems there's no support for anything larger than a regional boogie. Sad state of affairs in the sport. First you need to give specifics on what model camera and read the manual to learn the name of the port you want to adapt. Yeah, I get that not everyone is in a positiion to go car free, but I feel it's high time to start putting the message out there that it's not only possible to go car free, but it's an economic advantage to do so. I certainly didn't think it was possible until I started seriously looking at just how much of a liability cars in general are and my car in particular is. I can do a lot of damage in a sushi bar with an extra $600/month for example. That and the very idea of paying an insurance company for a product that amounts ot free money for them and a rise in price if I ever have to use the product, just chaps my ass thoroughly. Right now I'm just at the point of figurning out how to get to my photography clubs and the drop zone. Once I come up with a solution to those destinations, there will be no reason to keep the car.

Biking comes to mind as does settiong up to go car free. I've been biking to my day job for three weeks now and I'm already seeing benefits. We've had Knox Box rules here in Baltimore County for years. No controversy or issues other than a few business owners complaining about cost of installation. Niether DZO or douche (unless you ask my wife), just been in it a while and having had a real job, with a union, benefits and the other protections largess confers, I don't see jumping as getting there. We will never be as big as, say skiing or SCUBA or golf for that matter. There won't be a deduction for a 401K for a tandem master or an AFF guy. We don't have the numbers to make that happen. Because DZs are run as cottage businesses. No employee's, everyone is a contractor, no unions, benefits, wage protections or essential rights. That is not to say we aren't professionaL. It is to say we're small. I once thought that jumping would get to the level of, say skiing or SCUBA, but that was years ago and before I was in the biz. Now I see it completely differently. You have a fungus in your lens. You need to adress the issue of moisture in our lens once you resolve the fungus itself. Make sure you seal the lens completely afterwards. He somehow got past manifest and was asking my permission to jump with us when he just seemed to volunteer his cluelessness and ask what the grippers were for. The DZM took it from there. If you're making more at your other job and you're unhappy with pro jumping, then it's time to move on. Write the time and $ off as loss and don't make the same mistake again. Skydiving is a cottage industry that has no hope of becoming a mainstream business that has regular employees who enjoy the trappings of most toher businesses. ....If you're going to try to impersonate an up jumper so you can tag along with your friend who's doing a tandem, at least do the basic research needed to know what grippers are on a jump suit. If you are what you say you are, that is a licensed skydiver with 640 jumps and a rating, then you will know what grippers are on a jump suit and not have to ask the TI what the grippers are on your friends jump suit. I've read both. They are nothing more than silly middle eastern desert mythology cloaked in something akin to lyrical poetry. Full of contradictions and falsehoods, they are in no way any sort of guide for how to live. They are the user agreements of religion: no one reads them but everyone checks the "agree" box.
