that is correct. All is well here at Perris. Only Sunday was socked in, so I have been jumping my ass off. I am going for the "scruff" look in this competition as you can tell by my lack of shaving. It's about seven a.m. on Wednesday now and I am pretty smashed, so it's time to go skydive! (Alabama rules are in effect for Team Atair). Later, Chuck My webpage HERE

Well, I don't know how much drinking I will do tonight since I got SMASHED last night, but I am walking out the door to go to the airport right now. See you West-Coasties tonight. Chuck My webpage HERE

Oh I guarantee that Raymond will be there. He has not missed a competition all season. That dude is a blast to be around. He was supposed to cut my hair at The Ranch, but I got drunk and sidetracked. Chuck My webpage HERE

Post Whore! Clay, you need to put a little picture of yourself on the left so that these women will know what you look like. Some might even not be scared! Make sure you wear your skymonkey hat. Chuck My webpage HERE

Actually, Lisa, I just remembered that you already have a different color (green) and the little flag with "m" in it, so why can't you keep your other rating; addict in this case? Just a thought. Chuck My webpage HERE

Ah! A TRADE SCHOOL officer! Just picking brother, but that was not my bag. That time of your life is best spent sowing your oats, at least in my opinion. ROTC at a party school will get you the same degree and commision, plus you have a much better chance of catching your first sexually transmitted disease in frat house orgy! Chuck My webpage HERE

As I think I originally relayed, yes, we have those benchmarks of RW achievement, but there is nobody forcing us to spend the money on those awards in order to compete or participate. Having people "know" your ability is what gets you on good skydives. That, and simply showing your logbook to people at a new DZ has always worked for me. Generally, it only takes a couple of jumps at a new DZ to get in the right crowd. As for the other comment about Olav and his school trying to "trademark" freefly training, they can bite me. That reeks of the "Skydive U" formula. I am not about to pay a private company or individual one red cent to give me a worthless piece of paper saying I am a "certified" relative work coach or Instructor or whatever. The USPA ratings that I possess grant me all the authority I need to teach skydiving to unlicensed students. Technically, the only reason we need that is to cover our asses insurance-wise. As far as teaching advanced skills to licensed jumpers goes, anyone with the right experience and teaching skills can do that. A third-party "certification" does not make them one bit more qualified in my opinion, regardless of discipline they practice. Chuck D-12501 I-2001 My webpage HERE

Agreed. I have jumped a Sabre 97 (just to see what it would do) and was not impressed with the bottom end at all. That being said, I wouldn't hesitate to jump one of the Sabre 2's at 2.0 if they made one small enough to accomodate me. I try to give everything a chance just so I will be able to better report what I think, without putting any un-educated bias into it. Even if they were to make an 89 (as they are now doing with the stilleto and Vengeance), it would barely be at 2.0 for me. By comparison, I regularly jump a Competition Cobalt 65 loaded at 2.63 (without weights) and don't have any problems jumping it with my 4-way lead at 2.8. FYI: that is not a tri-cell, so as long as I feel a certain airfoil has a decent bottom end, I won't hesitate to load a "standard" or slightly tapered main at 2.0 Chuck My webpage HERE

LOL! Well, that only works till chicks start bouncing around from Instructor to Instructor, etc, etc. Then, it gets really strained. I have seen a shool nearly implode over one little teenage crumpet. Chuckie My webpage HERE

Hey Ramon and Ann, Is T.J. going to Perris? Actually, didn't somebody say he wasn't even in Texas anymore? What's the dill-e-o? Chuck My webpage HERE

Not sure, but "enforcer" sure would be cool if I were the man! Actually, just so she doesn't lose her personal "rating", you could put a little parenthesis behind "moderator" like Skybytch moderator (A) Just a thought. Chuck My webpage HERE

Yeah. No shit. Actually, I had a swoop-specific container but got talked out of it by one of my buddies. It only takes me about 20 minutes to take out my Cypres and close my rig back, so it's not too much of a hassle. Now that I have a container deal with another sponsor I am definitely going to score a "water" rig.I am trying to get one sewn up with neoprene reserve flaps and backpad. Solid black and very sexy. Still you wouldn't believe how fast your shit dries out in the sun on a regular rig. My Odyssey is mostly black, so it doesn't show murky water stains (thank god). Troy Ketsdever, on the other hand, jumps a WHITE Infinity.... Chuck My webpage HERE

Actually, Olav's licenses only mean anything if you are wanting to fly in one of his sanctioned meets. They are not recognized by any federal agencies. While I think the skills required to pass his tests are a good baseline for someone wanting to "prove" their skills (if they feel they must), I think it is a complete crock that Olav and his school charge what they do to administer the test. It is a classic case of one person and his few followers making a killing off the masses. The fact of the matter is that if you are a decent freeflyer then you are going to get invited on good freefly loads. It's just like big-way RW in that sense and there is nobody out there charging hundreds of dollars for a "big-way RW license". I can't wait until USPA goes ahead and starts issuing freefly achievment awards, like they do for big-way, CRW, and RW. $20 bucks is a reasonable price to pay for a license, but that's about it. Hazing...Ah, the joy. Dropzone: pass out in a common area and you are fair game. You will at least get drawn all over with permanent magic marker, but the unlucky ones get their eyebrows shaved (like Paul Rafferty when he was on the GK 8-way team), or worse. Military: 100mph tape (green duct tape) a cherry in an immobile state, stick his ass in a sleeping bag and hang him outside a second story window by a rope. That, or if they are really bad, stick them in a metal wall-locker and throw the whole thing out a second story window. Worse injury I ever saw from that was a broken foot, but it would scare the SHIT out of them, plus ruin the wall-locker. This was all in 1982-83. Chuck My webpage HERE
