  1. We have two otters and a CASA 212, but generally only fly one Otter. We will be flying the CASA that weekend also, for sure. Of particular note here is that one of the junior skymonkies won a CASA load in a raffle on Safety Day. There will be a free "skymonkey only" load. Chuck My webpage HERE
  2. I very-rarely freefly, but I will ensure that you are hooked up with Josh, Steven, and the rest of them. I am not averse to it, but generally do RW or jump my wingsuit. It should be noted that there is no "line in the sand" at Raeford between RW and Freeflyers; everyone is friendly to one another and not prissy at all. We all mix it up on tracking dives, etc. Chuck My webpage HERE
  3. Finally, the big step! I am assuming yall are going to want to find employment in RTP or somewhere else in I.T. around Raleigh. The most important consideration, though, is what side of town to live on in order to be near the DZ! Lucky for you, the 440 beltline runs clean around Raleigh and makes transit to RTP and anywhere else around the city a breeze. Personally, if I were you guys I would look for a place on the North side of the loop in the Mini City area. There is a TON of housing there and it places you on the closest side of the city for the drive up to CSS in Louisburg. That is also on the Wake Forrest side of the city. From Mini City you are still only about an hour and a half from Raeford max. If you choose the other option (being nearer to Raeford), then you should try and live over next to RTP and US-1. Actually, if you find employment in RTP you could feasibly live as far south as Sanford and transit in. That would put you less than a half hour from Raeford, but still within an hour to anywhere in the Raleigh/Durham area. Chuck My webpage HERE
  4. BWAHAHAHA! Actually, to earn the hat you must just jump with a member or our clan or party with one of the core members. Coconut Monkey (Tom) is a member of the DZ core and has been witness to much late-night nig-noggery. Chuck SM-1 My webpage HERE
  5. I promise that you will not be the only ex-jarhead on the DZ....LOL! Raeford has every make and model of current and past members of every service. Plus, there are plenty of good old boys and a few wood hippies too! Chuck My webpage HERE
  6. Good lord, man! I thought you might have crawled up in something warm and took to hibernation! Chuck My webpage HERE
  7. Tom, I don't think these gals are going to have any problem earning their skymonkey hats. Chuck My webpage HERE
  8. Upon closer inspection I have found out that the original poster is from Deland! I seriously doubt the person he was referring to was making an initial flight without supervision, as this is where BirdMan is headquartered and Jari, Kim, Vladi and a bunch of others regularly instruct and flock. I am not sure about you guys, but I have a very deliberate method of getting into and out of my suit. My legstrap tightening is especially critical as I jump a 75 square foot eliptical which is prone to harness steer. I spend quite a bit of time making sure they are equally tightened. Likewise, when I JMPI someone else, I make sure their suit is unzipped down the front to check their legstraps before having them zip up an so I can inspect the wing cutaways and cable routing in a systematic manner. Man, one thing is for certain: that dude will NEVER make that mistake again! Chuck My webpage HERE
  9. Craig, my question would be: "who in the hell was this dude's instructor?" By "novice", does that mean that this was the person's first wingsuit flight? If so, did he recieve any proper instruction or did he just borrow somebody's suit and just try and figure it out for himself? Unbelievable.... Completely besides the point, but this incident shows just how durable these things are put together. Chuck My webpage HERE
  10. did she just say she wanted to suck on a man in a cowboy hat? My webpage HERE
  11. All I have to say is that you will have more than ample opportunity to get much racier pictures when you are here at Raeford. Oh hell. Chuck My webpage HERE
  12. Actually, I think MOST people with any salt to them have a good Scotty story. He is not only a great organizer, but also one funny son of a bitch and a great cook. Chuck My webpage HERE
  13. "steepness" of dive is regulated by the amount of riser input one applies. Front riser pressure on a Cobalt is not that heavy and it's not hard to keep a set of double fronts held down. The recovery arc of a stock Cobalt is greater than that of a Stilleto, but less than that of a Velocity. A Competition Cobalt dives like a Velocity. Chuck My webpage HERE
  14. Actually, the night jumps are Friday night, whatever that date is. My webpage HERE
  15. Personally, with only 300 jumps by then total, you really don't need to even think about anything but a Classic. You will have much less trouble learning with that suit and you are not likely to be able to fly beyond it's limits for quite a while. Chuck My webpage HERE
  16. Polarbear, you will not find a single professional swooper performing a toggle hook in competition. Toggle hooks are not efficient and do not give nearly the surf as a clean riser turn. Those of us with any sense and experience stopped playing with toggles quite a while ago. As previously stated: they are dangerous and only serve to scare or impress whuffo bystanders. Chuck Blue Team Atair My webpage HERE
  17. Anyone in the area need one? We are also having a bunch of classes on different varieties of accuracy and canopy control, to include swooping this weekend. It ought to be interesting. My webpage HERE
  18. Skinny Puppy is one of my old favorites. I like the "chainsaw" album most of all. My webpage HERE
  19. You want obscure? Try "Sit on my face, Stevie Nicks" by The Rotters. Pure ass late 70's punk. Another fun, obscure band is Jonathan Richmond and The Modern Lovers". I recommend "Ice Cream Man". Chuck My webpage HERE
  20. Not "new", but still VERY angry: Gwar, "Scumdogs of The Universe". That is one bad-ass album. I recommend "maggots" and "sick of you". Chuck My webpage HERE
  21. Actually, there are currently two wingsuits for sale in the jumpsuit classifieds of this website. One skyflyer for a tall guy and one very-inexpensive ParaSport Italia wingsuit for a short person; check it out. Chuck My webpage HERE
