  1. You would be nuts to take two adults and FOUR kids on the road in a coach of ANY size. Just as I think people who live about sailboats of any size with children are nuts. The confines of even a large RV get very cramped. Also of mention is the problem of where to put all the "stuff" you have acquired over the years. Thankfully, I have "the bottomless cup" that is a lifetime pension. Also great is the fact that I own a house on the far side of town with an 840 square foot shop that serves as my personal storage unit, while I rent the house to a married couple. I live fine out of a 30-foot RV, but I had to put a lot of stuff that I previously thought was important into storage. It's comfy and plenty roomy, but I don't need much to get by. No guests in this unit, but I also have another 23 foot RV five spaces down that I use as a " guest house." Man, I don't see how a family of six could deal with life on the road, following the sun, but what do I know. There are plenty of opportunities to make money as a family in the skydiving industry, but it takes total devotion to the sport and it's surroundings, as a unit. Think Gypsy. Think spartan existence. Think moving kids from school to school if you follow the sun (and the money). What works fine for me may or may not work for you. I wish you luck regardless of your decision. Edited to add that I have every skydiving rating I need to make a living. Having a coach rating will not get a person anywhere. The packers at my dropzone make more money than any of our other employees; no lie. Chuck Blue -living the full-time DZ dream

  4. Been there, done that, had the back zits that go along with cottonseed oil-based injections. Fuck ALL that and the rage that goes along with it. Just like any other discipline of strength-based athletics, bodybuilding is filled with abusers. Those who claim innocence are the ones smart and or lucky enough to carry piss clean. Worse off of all are the people who, for years, have abused HGH (human growth harmone). That is what gives female bodybuilders the "lantern jaw" look. Separate, but totally related is GHB. I am sure that the majority of people out there do not know that GHB, portrayed in all the media as "the date rape drug" was developed as an artificial substitute for HGH. The body converts GHB into HGH when injested. When used in sane doses, GHB greatly reduses the refractory period following an extremely heavy workout. It was only when people began using excessive doses that they found out that it got them "high." Even higher doses, it was found, knocked a person out, but still left them feeling great and on top of the world when they woke up. Unbelievable that something that started as such a good thing could ruin so many lives. Chuck

  21. A snap riser-dive throws you out from under the canopy the same as toggle whipping. As to the distance you need to pull down on a riser to get a steep, controllable dive, that varies from canopy to canopy. I have had two supposedly identical mains from two different sets of builders that all flew differently. That being said, when I was jumping Atair canopies I found that I was pulling the riser all theway to my chest to get the best dive under my 74,75, and 85. The 65 I was jumping requried very little input to achieve the same result. Chuck
