It's all good. Carbone is one camper over and he has a fucking pool......That is, he DID have a pool till it got popped last night! Also, Jack Tempe has this wild Amazon-like misting room attached to Ron Hill's old camper (now Purple instead of Green). Carbone is putting up his replacement pool as we speak. Chuck

Absolutely true. That's why, like I said in two other threads, I almost always do tandems in my bootie suit. Chuck

After three hard days of work, Katie and I are now fully setup on the DZ at Z-hills. He got a pristine slot (#24) right up front with a fantastic view of the landing area and sunset. I will post pics later. Chuck

Does anyone visit any other Forum on the internet?
SkymonkeyONE replied to SkydiveStMarys's topic in The Bonfire
www.buelletinboard.com That's a good Buell motorcycle forum www.rcuniverse.com That's a great RC flyer forum. Tremendously large www.rv.net That is the best RV forum on the net Chuck -
I said it before, but will some of you please walk over to the next tent, "The Alabama Gang", and police up my nephew (Suavel on here) and brother in law and take them around to all the tents. They are convention virgins and need to be broken in properly. Chuck

Did he actually move to FL to do that team or is he still living near Raleigh, NC?
-
Those two are the only ones that I like. My early bet is that Magni will win.

Now THAT was a fantastic movie!

I got my rating from Billy. We had him show up early for a pre-course. There is simply no substitute for doing full speed practice dives with the guy that is ultimately going to pass or fail you in the actual course. As the course you are attending will have lots of active duty guys from "over there", I am sure they are going to have him show up for a pre-course (and pay for it). Chuck

I generally wear my comp RW bootie suit for the leg power it provides. Same as I stated in the other thread. I will wear my Ouragan freefly suit if there is a bit of wind and I feel like matching my tandem rig; I really don't want to ruin that suit.

Agreed! How did they get a front end loader on that lawn mower? I thought you said you bought a TRACTOR.

People bought trikes, gear, and guns, but I bought...

We have two of those. One at the DZ and one at my clubhouse. -
I only have about ten saved permanently. I delete everything else, sent or recieved, about once a week.

There were quite a few people jumping those at Skydive Carolina at the Reunion boogie. The only thing I don't like about the rig, and this is very petty, is the "Vortex II" embroidery on the yoke and the sides. It's not very attractive. Without that, I think the rig is very nice. Quite a lot like my Wings containers actually. Chuck

Laugh, but I know at least two personally. Really.

Very nearly out of here! FL here we come!
SkymonkeyONE replied to SkymonkeyONE's topic in The Bonfire
We will be pulling into town either late Monday night or by mid-day Tuesday. We have to get weighed at some certified scales on that end before we park for good. On that note, we are towing WAY over combined GVWR. -

Actually, I think that's exactly where we are going.... -
tandem video using videographer in one plane, tandem in another
SkymonkeyONE replied to pchapman's topic in Instructors
We actually did four way out of Cessna 182's at Nationals one year. The four way would exit one plane and the video guy would exit a trailing C-182. As very-fast teams were really only turning 12 points in time, very little was lost on video. -

Well, the packers/movers came first thing this morning and got started. They are about to start loading our household goods for two-years storage while we move in our camper to Z-hills. Besides driving the side of our 2006 model 37 foot camper right into a concrete pylon at a gas station yesterday, all has went smoothly! We are both ready to get the fuck out of Dodge. The camper is fully loaded, minus one of the bikes and our golf cart. We are pulling it back out to the dropzone early tomorrow morning probably and will be leaving here for good on Monday after spending our last weekend at Raeford. I have been in this town since 1984, so I relish the opportunity to leave here for at least five years. Two years in Z-hills and three years up in West Point, NY. We will be packing up the computer late this afternoon. Wish us luck on our road trip! Chuck and Katie -
This better? that was truly unbelievable. wow....

Nice fucking plane, bro!

tandem video using videographer in one plane, tandem in another
SkymonkeyONE replied to pchapman's topic in Instructors
Just a quick thought here. If you guys were unable to get a video guy from one plane over to a tandem pair under drogue from two Cessnas in formation, then something is definitely up. I don't guess you guys routinely do end-of-day formation RW loads, do you? That is a regular occurence at the little two-Cessna DZ that my dad owns in Alabama. You want to do eight-ways; you have to work out the formation flying AND everyones' individual flying skills. Those dives help everyone on such dropzones. Chuck -
Post your Hot Swoop Pic(s)
SkymonkeyONE replied to freeflydrew's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Hey guys, how about keeping the chit-chat to a minimum in this "picture" thread. -
You dyed your pond? Ugh.

Any NEW thoughts from anyone on the ONYX?
SkymonkeyONE replied to Monk's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
The canopy that Atair (europe anyway) is promoting is the Radical. Robi Pecnic and James Boole from Phoenix Fly were both jumping it at the last Flock and Dock event in Z-hills. It looks sort of like a Cobalt, but thinner and with "triple" cells towards the ends. It definitely dives longer than a Cobalt (or CC) from what I saw there. If Bryan is not jumping his onyx then I know of no other person who is. Former PST competitor Eric Butts had one as well, but I am pretty sure he has a Velo now. Chuck
