  1. You have clearly never had Nathan as a house guest.
  2. We cook out all the time at Raeford. We cook out at the house as well.
  3. Funny you should ask that, Glen! I asked Robi the exact same thing at Flock and Dock about the V2. I asked wouldn't it have been just as easy to put a set of Acro top vents on the suit instead of the Phantom-style ones both of the prototypes had. He told me that he really didn't think that many people were interersted in backflying their Vampires and that it was meant to be just a "top performance" suit. I am not convinced, but hey, it's not my company. I DO know that there are a bunch of motherfuckers at the "very-experienced" wingsuit pilot level who fly their Vampires (and other top-end BirdMan variants) on their backs these days. I would love to have a V-something with acro-type top vents personally. Chuck
  4. Did I read correctly? My bastard father, Cajones, will be in attendance? Bring the pain. Mono Uno
  5. A 500 pounder would be howling/whistling like a motherfucker too. I have been "danger close" to plenty of ordnance. Chuck
  6. Exactly. I didn't say anything about making an "unsafe" landing. I intoned that it was wise to keep an eye out for your main and land as close as is safely possible. I am not about to land out in the piney woods or the swamp, but I will damn sure keep an eye out and land as close as I can. Likewise, if I am on the ground and someone chops I am going to move to a fixed object and watch which direction any drifting main/freebag goes behind trees and out of sight. There is nothing worse than having to wander aimlessly through the woods in search of someone's chopped main. If more people would take the time to actually get a fix on a drifting main/freebag from the ground then I might consider blowing it off and swooping the beer line with my reserve. I just don't trust that anyone else is going to give a shit about my $2,000 Velo though, so I will stick with my plan: pay attention, then land as close as possible (safely). Chuck
  7. looking for some loving? I guess you had to be there. Wait, you were there; you just missed out.
  8. nothing. I am sitting here minding a rack of radios until 4:00 am.
  9. Remind me to never invite you into my trailer when Katie and I move to the DZ in July, Randy.
  10. I, due to the type of skydives I am generally on these days, rarely pull lower than 4,000 feet. I do mostly tandem, AFF, and wingsuit skydives. I have had five reserve rides in 4,450 skydives. I had my first cutaway (under a round reserve) when I had right around 200 jumps. No, it didn't really scare me. I did, however, get very scared on my last wingsuit cutaway (actually, I couldn't even cutaway and fired my reserve straight into my spun-up main. I thought I was dead) Go straight through your training as quickly as possible. You wouldn't want to wait a full year of drivers ed before you got to drive, would you? Like Lisa said, though, you are still considered a student until you have your A-license. That will probably cost considerably more than $1,300. Chuck
  11. If you are renting gear, then yes, you are positively responsible for recovering that main. It's pretty fascinating to me that these days so many people happilly fly their reserves back to the main landing area and don't pay attention AT ALL to where their main fell. What ever happened to flying in a circle under your reserve and landing as close as safely possible to your main? Chuck
  12. Amazingly, it looks like Katie and I will both be there now! Look for us to arrive on Friday by lunch. Chuck Yes, I am bringing all the wingsuits I have.
  13. Well thought out, Darren. Meet me in the camper. Chuck
  14. That's fucking awesome. As there is no drinking on the boardwalk, and hotels will be outrageously expensive, that might be the smartest choice. Chuck
  15. I can promise you he heard it coming.
  16. I have the slightly older 7.4 (mine's a 1998) and I get just under 10mpg pulling our camper.

You are such a trouble-maker, Mark! See you in July, bro! I can't wait to get down there to live.
  18. I am just happy that old Assmonkey isn't dead in a ditch!
  19. Not neccessarily. It could very-well have the 8.0 gasser big-block.
  20. Ryan, the guy pictured, is a Raeford guy.
  21. I can't exactly recall. If you do a search for the event in the wingsuit forum you will find the answer. Felix was jumping a rig with a spring-loaded pilot chute. Chuck
  22. I have you on speed dial, you fat, sweaty fucker! I am going to report you to the boss immediately. To Kevin: I guess I would be fucked if being divorced precluded a person from getting a decent mate then. Same for Katie though, too. Chuck
  23. He had a diesel truck and traded it in on that new gasser. It's a 6.0 small block, but he thought it had a 5.7. I laughed and told him to pull over and check. He still couldn't find any markings under the hood so I told him to call the chevy dealer and ask since he had thrown away the window sticker. Very funny stuff.
