  1. Yeah, but if going bald is the worst thing that ever happens to me, I'll consider myself very lucky! That said... I would like to have my hair back. "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."
  2. I hate it when people who actually have hair, complain about it! "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."
  3. Network version of ACT is probably your best bet... it is as Phree mentioned, "set" in it's ways, but that's part of the beauty of it too... it's a piece of software written specifically for managing prospects (and customers) during (and after) the sales cycle... check it out, it's really a pretty nice piece of software, and not too spendy. www.act.com "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."
  4. Well, a lot of what you decide to use will depend on exactly what it is that you want to do with this database, and how many people need access to this data. Access would be fine for storing and retrieving the data for say, mass mailings, and that sort of stuff, but if you want the software to remind you to call a particular contact six months from now for a follow up, ACT might be a better solution... What do you plan to do with the data? "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."
  5. The price of the used Sabre "classic" won't really start to drop significantly until more used Sabre2's become available on the open market... then the prices will probably start to drop sharply... Which will be a good thing for buyers on a tight budget, because the Sabre "classic" will still be good canopy... but it'll suck if you're selling one. "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."
  6. He has. Somtimes divorce will do that to people... You should have been married to me... when my ex-wife divorced me, I pretty much gave her (well, and the KIDS) everthing... Had I known all that I know now at the time though, I probably wouldn't have been quite so accommodating... Good luck, and hang in there girl! "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."
  7. Great pics Dave! And a sweet looking rig! At your size though, did you give any thoughts to having Type 8 risers (and possibly big rings), instead of the Type 17 risers and small rings? Just curious... I love that pic of the swoop! "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."
  8. I'm 45, going on 25... and just a reminder to all the folks that have complained about their aging, instead of celebrating it... the only alternative to aging is dying young! "The world is your exercise-book, the pages on which you do your sums. It is not reality, although you can express reality there if you wish. You are also free to write nonsense, or lies, or to tear the pages." - Bach, Illusions "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."
  9. Yet another thread relegated to the gutter... sigh, won't these kids ever grow up... oh WAIT, that was Wendy's post!!! Too funny!!! "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."
  10. Agreed! Even the low end Linksys DSL routers these days are built in switches, and will give everybody on the connection a better experience... I have a Linksys with VPN support at home, and have it set up to create a VPN tunnel to my Sonicwall at work... so I can work from home. "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."
  11. Better, true... but still won't give him bandwidth throttling... that's not available in anything that you could afford to put in at home... "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."
  12. You will be inherently more stable... but only if you're BELLY flying! I'm not sure HOW that pot belly will affect your headdown or sit! "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."
  13. Ha! It's about the same thing that MOST of the threads are about in Talkback... mindless post whoring! (if you can't beat 'em, join 'em!) "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."
  14. You go girl!!! I've taken my kids skiing the last couple of years, and they've expressed some interest in trying snowboarding... but I've been hesitant to try it myself, because I seem to see only two kinds of people on snowboards... those that make it look extremely easy, and those that make it look impossible! I don't ski that well, but well enough that I don't fall much skiing most intermediate terrain, and well enough for it to be fun for me, so I stick with that... Snowboarding does look like fun though! "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."
  15. No to both... but I have a list... a list of things to do before I die, and getting a tat is on the list. "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."
  16. Heh, you're probably right. I have to stop posting things on a whim after drinking a few beers. It's NOT that far fetched... they already offer a version of MS office for the Mac OS X, which is based on the BSD kernel (a close cousin to Linux), so how hard would it be to do a Linux port? I don't thnk they will though.. it's not their style to support their competitors... their style is to buy them, or use their (illegal) monoply power to CRUSH them! "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."
  17. yeah... what he said! Nice choice of colors BTW... "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."

Clicky link here... "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."
  19. I've actually had several 'near death' experiences related to snoring... I've awoken several times with pillows forcibly held to my face, as my fellow bunk room mates at the DZ tried to kill me to stop the snoring! "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."
  20. Yeah, thanks for the updates... it rocks that we're getting day by day updates... I really enjoyed it when Lisa did it for JFTC, and I'm really enjoying it for the 300 way world record (not attempts) dives! Good luck... and remember... 'perfect speed is being there.' "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."
  21. Andrea, they have all kinds of cool info on the formation and how they plan to build it at www.300-way.com check it out, it's pretty cool! "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."
  22. One of the reasons that I asked, is that I know you are about the same size as I am (we met at SDD a couple of years ago actually), and after jumping my PD193R, I'm certain that I wouldn't want to jump anything smaller than that... but then again, I don't want to jump a 170 main either, and I know you do!!! I'm not sure people are really ready for the different flight characteristics in their reserve when they have to deploy it... most people have few, if any, jumps on F-111 7 cell canopies (I have hundreds BTW), and it is kinda different... I'd highly recommend that people take advantage of PD's program, and demo a reserve sometime... "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."
  23. How many jumps on your main when you did that Dave? Probably a LOT more than you're gonna have on your reserve when you need sink IT into a tight spot on an off DZ landing... Just something to think about... "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."
  24. I see SO many people with little tiny reserves these days (granted most are jumping little tiny mains too!), and I wondered what percentage of the folks actually had rides on those canopies... I have 4 reserve rides total, which I know is a lot for my low jump numbers.. but hey, stuff happens... I have 2 rides on ROUND reserves, 26 foot conical lopos, that landed okay, but went wherever the wind blew them... I have 1 ride on an old Safety Star, a 185sf 5 cell, that flew where I wanted it, but landed... well... hard and fast. And I do have 1 ride on my current reserve, a PD193, loaded at almost 1.3:1... I was lucky and had almost ideal conditions (cool temps and 10-15mph winds), but honestly the landing was SWEET... I had NO problem standing it up... I don't think it would be as sweet on a hot, humid, no wind day though... "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."
  25. Have any idea how many jumps he had on the harness and container at the time? "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."
