C'mon, squashing their only competitive threat these days (in Linux), is high on their priority list! How else can they maintain their illegal monoply? SCO sues IBM over Unix code in the Linux kernel, and MS decides to 'license' IP from SCO, funneling God knows how much money their way to help them out in the lawsuit, is coincidental timing?!? And they won't stop until they succeed in destroying Linux... honestly, has MS ever lost a battle? With enough money and lobbying, you can even defeat the US government! "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."

I want to be in the movie too! And if it's pretty much looks only that determines who plays us, I want to be played by... Homer Simpson! "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."
-
Normally I avoid these threads like the plague, but I thought I'd post on the Bytch's behalf since she's out of pocket at the moment... I'm sure she'd play if she could! Who am I kidding? I've always wanted to beat the lock on one of these goofy threads! "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."

It probably says... 1) skydiving is dangerous (doh!) 2) you could die (no shit?) 3) No, you can't sue us if you do! That's my guess! edited to add that yes, I do skim them over before I sign them, but no I don't read every line... "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."

This just may be the cause of your problems Katie, not everything that was written (and compiled, specifically) for a Win 3.1/Win95 enviroment will run on Win2k... although I know there's a compatibility function in Win2k that will ' force' programs to run as if they're in their 'old' environment, I'm currently half drunk and can't remember how to actually set them up to do so... sorry! I'll look into it tomorrow when I sober up! "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."

When I was younger, I met all my girlfriends at the DZ (including my now ex-wife!)... but now that I'm much older, that no longer seems to work... Wendy, I can't believe that a smart, attractive women such as yourself could ever be desperate, but if the use of online dating services is a sign of desperation, then sign me up as deperate too... because I have also used them. My experiences have been mostly positive, but I've not yet met any women that could hold a piece of popcorn in each dimple... or that wrote entirely using the first person as their dog... You have all the luck! "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."

That's not a crime! Now if was a real beer... "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."

It was originally mfg'd by John Stanford's Adventure Loft, which he sold to John Storrie years ago... John Stanford and his wife Sarah both jump them (or did last time I saw them, about a year ago), so they must think they're ok rigs! Here's John Storrie's contact info, he may be able to tell you more... Storrie Parachute Works 1425 Century, Suite 100 Carrollton, TX 75006 1-800-928-0157 email jstorrie@vestedinterest.com "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."

I did a poll here that got quite a few responses... it was specifically directed at folks jumping small reserves... I guess I wasn't too surprised to hear that the people that were capable and happy flying tiny mains, were also capable and happy flying tiny reserves! Here's the Poll "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."

Why not contact Mirage, and ask them? There's nobody here on the forums that's more qualified to answer that question! "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."

Having spent the past 6 years working for a contract manufacturer who's biggest customer was a large telecom equipment provider, and watching our business erode to less than half of what it was several yeasr ago, I feel for you! The constant worries that you'll be among the next group to get laid off, or that in our case, the entire company might not survive the downturn, can cause severe emotional distress... but hang in there, and don't let the current business climate, or lack thereof, rock your self confidence! I feel your pain brother, best of luck to you! "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."

I thought you might like that! I still remember laughing my ass off over that video of you flying with the pumpkin head on! That was classic man! "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."

Nice suit! Nicely coordinated, but I thought it needed some additional color... "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."

I had that happen with my Dolphin (and it wasn't even as bad as what you described), and another rigger who noticed it told me I should take it back to whoever packed it and have them reclose it. I did, and they did, no charge. You should have whoever packed it for you reclose it... "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."

As another jumper that returned to the sport after a long layoff (17 years) a couple of years ago, I will comfirm your observation that people are indeed pulling higher these days than we did 'back in the day'. And the canopies are indeed taking longer to open! I was on a 4 way skills camp dive that was going well, and broke off a little low after 'just one more' point, and by the time my canopy fully opened, my audible was starting to flatline (1500 feet)! Welcome back! "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."

You suck! But only in the nicest possible way! Get a job! "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."

Now that is a cool picture! How does he do that? I can't take that nice a picture on the ground, let alone in freefall! bmw "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."

Hey, does that leave only one 'JP' unbroken? That really does make him the (smart)JP! I'm so glad my initials aren't JP, it seems to be an epidemic! Hoping both the broken JP's heal quick!!! "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."

Well, I used to read your posts, until you started to post drunk so much... "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."

Duh... everyone wants to know the DOM of the Cypres because it only has a 12 year life span, from the Date Of Manufacture So you have to know the DOM to calculate the remaining years of life left, and the approx. value of the unit. You should not buy a Cypres with out knowing the DOM ! And the seller's 'assumption' that it's about the same as the rest of the rig could be totally wrong. "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."

Another good low cost option is an older Timeout audible... It only has one pre-settable altitude, but it has two additional beep modes at 2500 and 1500 feet which are fixed... I paid $50 dollars for mine. In fact, someone has one listed now in the classified sections... I bought mine without any documentation, and someone on this site was kind enough to scan and email me the doc's, so I have a copy if you end up needing them... "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."

Paypal has a long history of problems... here But they may have cleaned up their act now that Ebay bought them, and they're a division of Ebay... I hope so. "If all you ever do is all you ever did, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."
