    I am not usually a blind police supporter and I am not a fan of our trend toward a police state where it is them versus us. That being said I am a huge fan of common sense. Taking the claim that they encircled police at face value I would have to say that was pretty piss poor common sense!     A country that has nuclear weapons isn't "constantly juggling just to survive". Right... because the government of Pakistan is on such sound footings. As it is the Military runs the country, not the civil government. But they are all on unstable ground with their own populous. Outside of the major cities there are huge parts of Pakistan that are not under anything that could be considered centralized government control!     I would have been extremely pissed off. After the past three weeks of travel I have come to the conclusion that I hate air travel. This would have been the icing on the cake. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

    I call out every connector verbally as I check them and check them again twice more. There is no reason for this to happen unless you rush and deviate from your procedure, or you are unsafe and have no procedure. I refuse to rush, the plane can do a go around. We need to push unprofessional and/or unsafe instructors from the sport. Be friendly and professional, actually train your students, ensure proper harness adjustment and do the harness checks, check your gear using a procedure and all due care, talk to your students on the ride to altitude and dont sleep on the ride up, do all your finally gear checks.     Does skydiving related charity work count? I know there are some organizations that take female sexual abuse victims for a jump as an empowerment thing.     Cry me a fucking river. I didn't get squat from the Federal Government despite paying for college on my own. Some one like me had shit choices for college loans, and now I get my student loan interest deduction phased out too! Good thing I am filthy rich. College is an investment, it shouldn't be free. That being said everyone should have access to reasonable loans. My investment is currently paying off because I matched my expenditure with a job field that would give me a chance to pay it off. If people decide to rack up 60K in loans to get a BA in Sociology and now they have to work in Starbucks tough shit, that was a dumb ass move!     Did you fail to read the part where he came on the DZO's promise that they would sponsor him, and handle the legal leg work of applying for the work visa. If we want to start slinging mud about not playing by the written rules we are going to get a lot of people dirty! Tandem packing without riggers, lack of work visas, classifying instructors incorrectly as contractors to dodge state and federal labor laws and payroll taxes. We are no angels right when it comes to following the written rules to a T, so lets at least step back and have some integrity. If you have some one work for you then pay them what they are owed.     Hypothetically speaking... If you had to send in a rating application, and you also had your membership expiring soon, what order would it make sense to send it all in to the USPA. I am thinking one would want to renew first, and then send in the ratings application. Probably would save a couple bucks on the membership?     What does a protrack log entry tell you? Not a whole hell of a lot! A protrac nepture or equivalent doesn't tell you: What type of jump. Who was on it. What the objective was. If you were successful. Any notable element of the jump. Or any cool stories. No signatures of people on the jump that you might value as your skydiving idols. No cool pictures or drawings. No way to verify you were the one jumping. I enjoy filling out my log book, and having other jumpers write stuff in it too! "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
