    What makes you think you even could get out at 800 feet if there was a catastrophic failure?? Most drop zones have you belt up until 1.5k. I doubt you are going to make it out, more likely you are going to undo your belt and become a human missile in the event of a crash.     It is normal to find bruises later on in the week, and not have a clue where they came from. Try to avoid getting into a habit of sliding in on your butt when your landings are less than perfect. It is very easy to damage your tail bone or your back that way. A PLF might not look as pretty, but it is much safer. Edit: it looks like some one else already mentioned this to you.     Fail them, seriously!!!! They are adults, they are in college. They should have studied instead of drinking all night before the test. This is coming from a college student who pays for his own school, and busts his ass. I am a bit tired of of how students get passed through the system with minimal effort and in the end dilute the value of a college degree.     Unless it IS an emergency all of us A licensed jumpers aren't allowed to being doing anything lower than a 3k hop and pop. Personally I would jump as low as 2k, after that I would be worried about my Pilot 168 sniveling right into the peas. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

    You are missing out... exiting from that strut is a trip. I only have a couple of 182 jumps but they were a blast. Especially the one time that I climbed out way to early and had to crouch down and wait. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

    A gear registration system, sort of like carfax would be cool. Hey I want to buy your gear what is the serial. Wait why doesn't the serial match your name, and why is it listed as stolen!!!     Several times I have been the only jumper in my pilot's 206. Free early bird if you are there before 7, and apparently we have a bunch of rich and lazy jumpers. Personally I will walk barefoot over coals at 6:30 for a free jump with a sunrise. On the flip side every time I have been in a 182 with four people I started to have a panic atack.
