    Yeah and CReW Dogs often free pack, and have their risers and shit all hanging out of their containers. Getting a student to give them a gear check may be great for comic effect, but I don't think it is a great example of what you can get away with!     Maybe you don't know what technique you should be asking for... If you want to catch up, you want to dive. You may want to know how to go the fastest on your belly, but that is the wrong tool for this job.

    Bingo... you need to right techniques for the right situation. Being able to smoke down the tube at 175 mph on your belly isn't nearly as useful as being a good diver when you are trying to get down to a formation. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

    I don't like listening to some people talk on the phone, I know it is petty but I find it hard to shake sometimes. A co-worker has the most annoying sounding phone conversations. After every since word the other person must be saying she goes... uhhh-huh uhhuh uhuh. It is every 5 seconds like that until she hangs up the phone!     This was an expensive lesson. I am starting a rotation at another company tomorrow. I keep my same employer but I am basically contracted staff for this other company for the next several months. I was told that it was business professional, but I never confirmed it with the manager heading the engagment. So I went and bought two new suits to fill out the wardrobe, some new ties and dress shirts. 900 dollars later today I find out that I just need to wear a tie. Oh well, live and learn.     These threads all have valuable information, even if they aren't sugar coated like you want them to be. Don't ask questions on here if you expect every response to be perfectly tailored to your liking. You have your anwser, multiple times. Most agree that is an unneccesary downsize that increases your risk for no benifit. So have you talked to other instructors at the dropzone, or are you just going to camp out and cry about the responses that you get.     My friend did a slip and slide out of a CASA, minus the slip and slide. The grip tape on the tailgate does wonders on risers and face shields. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

    Since I am on the board of directors, I guess I should call myself. I just wanted to make sure we didn't violate any of the group member pledges by letting him jumps sans membership. Thanks everyone.

    So what is the deal with foreign jumpers and group member DZ's. I went on the USPA website, but I couldn't find the information I needed. I figured I would see if some one know before calling tomorrow. I have a jumper from Germany who is visiting the states and wants to jump at my DZ.     I agree... I would add dips to that list... and mention that standing shoulder press gives you great gaines in place of bench.

    When I was body building I would throw a dumbell on my chest and do crunches on the incline bench with them... I called them heavy abs. They kicked your ass!!! "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

    Not a real native, I moved there when I was 4, then I moved away for my college years and never ended up coming back. It was a reference to a hilarious show that MTV put out years ago...
