To give credit where it's due, the LDS church changed this tenet under Spencer Kimball, a prophet from a couple decades ago. He said it was healthy for a man and woman to have sex as part of strengthening their relationship. Oral is still not cool, however. I think their marketing would work better if they brought back polygamy.

Bear Gryll's shoots his show, makes it appear he's spending the night in the "wild" an d then he goes back to his hotel room. You'd like to join in his room. Given that he's a pussy compared to say... Les Stroud, who really does do what his show demonstrates.... Some women don't want survivorman, they want pu**y. Now it all makes sense.

On the corner of seventh avenue?

It's possible that it's just a photo of him in the suit. When I did my FFC with Lou, he made it ver clear that the Blade was definitely not a suit to be used for a newbie wingsuiter, which is why I waited til 50 jumps on my Phantom before buying a Blade.
-
If the DZO banned him from jumping again, wouldn't it be highly unlikely it was done "alot" with this pilot?

Douglas was already a fan of 360Smile, having heard them as an opening act. Very melodic. "RockStar" and "Tour of Duty" are both powerful pieces.

Cat C. Cat D, Cat C was how my flow went. I should have been more clear. Yes, you can avoid the second Cat d. Just finished up my seventh AFF course today (shadowing), watching the same 50% unsuccessful rate that seemed to be the norm for the old course.

A-you came to HAFB and didn't call me? You twerp~! B-Preston Creed is pretty good, IMO.

My point to the OP was related to the "alleged music copyright violation" that got his video pulled. If he wrote/recorded the music in question, then it would probably be an "alleged" violation. Otherwise, it probably isn't alleged, but in purpose, a violation. You know me and copyright

it's not a full zoom through, no. You can zoom through about 1/3 the image is all. Yes, that is the correct link to BH for this lens. Very cool to know it's out there, the product manager for this lens had told me it wouldn't be shipping (new version) until Oct 1, which had me believing it wasn't yet available. Just ordered my own (I have to send this one back to Century).

Not for skydiving, but still pretty cool =)

There isn't anything 30mp can do if you don't have great glass on the front, either. And in some cases, 30mp won't matter with even great glass on the front. -
You wrote/recorded the music used in the video? Or made a parody about the song used in the video? Or the video was a social commentary related to the song's lyrics? That would suck if they did that after all your work.

And I use both. If you are task-oriented, I'd go PC simply because a lot of apps don't run on Macs, none of the new cameras are native to Mac. If you're not using specialized software and/or you're not using the newer camcorders.... then I wouldn't worry about it and get a Mac. OS is better looking, most things are simply better designed and easier to use. Or, get a Mac Pro system and run both Windows and OSX (what I do).

Yours is likely the first release. They've since coated the lens, but it's the same housing, same optics. They did something similar with the baby death. You'll note it's slightly wider than your .55, and better overall resolution. It's also got a smoother edge due to the coating, and flares later. Notice the images are also less distorted than the .55. Wish I had my .55 with me to post comparisons.

In my course, we were "time in" from the moment the evaluator said we were "time in" til after we hit the ground and had a walk n' talk. One guy in our class had to spend an extra two days learning to teach the ground stuff. We also did Cat D first, Cat C second. If you do well, you can avoid the second Cat C. We don't have 6 opps to pass the ground, either, but in the old days, you could have two good, two bad, and two good. And numbers were apparently more arbitrary. One example of why I feel the old system needed to change; Two guys went through the course at the same time. One didn't have six hours of freefall when he started the course, he crossed six hours freefall during the course. The other had over 30 hours freefall and had been instructing as a coach for years. The guy that has 30 hours is a no-BS guy. He called BS on the instructor sleeping with his student. He didn't pass. The six hour guy passed. The instructor had a hard-on for the 30 hour guy. 30 hour guy is a great AFF instructor, tremendous mentor, and very good tunnel coach. But he didn't make friends nor kiss ass with the evaluator. With the new program, it's somewhat harder to be busted for that, given the very clear chart and Sat/UnSat opportunities.

I have not skydived with the Contour HD, but have used one. It's nearly as poor as the GoProHD is. It's MP4, not AVCHD, and therefore doesn't have the compression advantages nor the higher bitrate. In other words, it's not in the same game as the CX100. Decent cam for messing around and even being somewhat serious about what you're doing if you don't need to show it on an HD display. FAR too many people in the world put too much emphasis on pixels alone. That's only one fourth the discussion.

SP moves the tape at 18.812mm/sec.LP moves it a 12.56mm/sec. This means that the error window in SP is smaller. LP gives more time span for an error to occur. The tracks actually aren't "thinner," they're the same size. Error correction tracks are identical too. There are some of the opinion that slower tape speed causes LESS dropout because the tape is moving more slowly. This simply isn't so. Higher speeds are virtually always better. Tape stretch is a bigger issue with LP as well. Easiest method to avoid dropout however, is to avoid tape altogether.

More than once.... Lotsa people saying "be careful." And being as careful as I can be, given that it's skydiving. Felt good to pop four today. Not sure I can manage more than that for a while.

After having shadowed Jay, Kip, and a couple others, I'd agree with this statement, based on my "gossip" knowledge of the old course. Had a long conversation with Mr. Stokes last night on this subject. Without going into the details, one thing that was made obvious is the new scoring system is harder on the evaluators but more fair for the candidate, yet also gives the candidate more opportunity to make a mistake. Breaking the dive down into so many categories vs the old system seems to be the most fair way to do this. One other comment was that the failure rate hasn't changed much.

I used to think that same thing, every time a pretty redhead walked by. Then I remembered my first marriage.

judging from the part number, that's probably right. Mine came with no documentation as it's a pre-release unit. The number on it is C158662. I was told they'd be shipping as of last week, so they're apparently in-stock or soon to be. If you'd like to check it out, I've got it at Elsinore. You're welcome to it for a day or two. I won't be putting a camera back on for a couple weeks at best.

the lens sells for 195.00 USD (retail). It will fit the Rawa box.
-
Yes. I'm already here. I don't know that I'll be ready for the formation by then, but there is a glimmering hope. It would be an honor to meet you and share a beer.

As mentioned a while back, Century has a new HD lens. Depending on the camera, it resolves 900 lines. For what it is, very impressive. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emstAdOwAMg Video isn't so great, shot with no lights and a CX100. Apologies, but thought y'all might like to see it.
