  1. Hell, just quit. I did, knew that God had my back, and never missed a lick.
  2. Do you hate the person or the sticker?
  3. Here's something that happened to me the other night. I was driving down a dark country road, coming back from the dz. Another vehicle got right up behind me so close that the shadow of my truck was cast back into my headlight beams, virtually making the first 50' in front of the truck completely black.
  4. All revved up, and no place to go. Meatloaf
  5. I only collect empty wine bottles. A full one is absolutely useless.
  6. She was 29, I was 19. She got her cookies, and left me wondering what the hell had just happened.
  7. First, I obviously wouldn't have a complaint if there wasn't something wrong with them. Most people don't have a clue about aiming headlights. Do it in the dark with about a 50 yd, target. The passenger side should aim straight ahead, and the driver side should aim toward the center of the driver's lane.
  8. Apparently, math isn't one atheist's strong suit. How does 36% equal a majority? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's sort of like any poll in which you can get the desired results. According to many on this website, Muslims believe in the same God as the Christians and the Jews. Hindu, other, and totally confused are the only ones outside of that catagory. I could go on to break the Baptist line of theology into many other subdenominations. Southern, Independent, Freewill, Primitive, etc. The fact is, as a whole, believers in a divine being have athiests outnumbered. I've got to go now and get ready to go meet my brethren of like mind, and reenforce my thought process.
  9. @Royd: "That's pretty much the same as saying, "Just my dumb luck." You're still assigning cause and effect." Tell me, do you really see everything from the universe to individual lives as some sort of chaos without some kind of guiding force. Let's face it, there are many things in the Bible that one cannot disagree with, especially Proverbs. I believe Jesus said that a man cannot add one inch to his stature or one day to his life. What about people who, at some point in their life have attempted suicide, only to fail, and then, find great meaning and depth in living life. Their lives and outlook then touch many people who's lives have been on a road of self destruction. People simply don't have a 180 degree change in their mindset without some extraneous influence.

  12. Reply To -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Obviously, there's no scientific explanation for the reason that your life was spared that day. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I remember it very well. It made the national news. I'm sure the parents had a lot of questions, but as I recall, they accepted it as God's will. When your number is up, living in a rubber room isn't going to keep you safe, and the Bible says that your days are numbered. So, if everyone lived a do nothing life, and died in their sleep at the age of 85 plus yrs. would that be evidence? You'd probably find fault with that.
  13. Here's another one. I am a very courteous and laid back driver. If I'm on the road at rush hour, I'll let 3 or 4 cars in at an entrance ramp, only to watch them cut someone else off at the next ramp. I really just want to eliminate those people. They just don't get the big picture.
  14. I also despise those center islands that force you to drive 1/4 mile, and make a u-turn to get to a business on the left hand side of the road. Traffic engineers need them stuck up their asses. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's almost as if they have appointed themselves to be traffic grinches.
  15. The problem with them is that they blind oncoming drivers, and the older you get, the slower your eyes readjust. There ought to be some common courtesy involved here.
  16. To what else do you contribute stuff that happens. Good luck, bad luck, fortune, misfortune, destiny, karma, coincidence. Unless you have directly had a hand in bringing something about, there are some situations that are beyond logical explaination. Let me give you a made up scenario which could very well happen. You prepare to go to work. When you try to start the car, the battery is completely dead. You came home the day before, in the rain, during daylight, and forgot to turn off the headlights. So, you put the charger on the battery, and while you are waiting, you are watching the news. There is a horrible accident at a major intersection involving a fuel tanker that happened at the precise time when you are normally at that point in your travel. Once you begin to think about the chain of "coincidence," you have to realize that there was something at work here which you cannot put your finger on. Obviously, there's no scientific explanation for the reason that your life was spared that day.
  17. I wish there was an electronic devise that would blow those speakers up.
  18. How about those new headlights with that blue color that literally blinds you. Those things ought to be against the law. Those ratty sounding mufflers that make a car sound like it needs an appointment with a mechanic.
  19. Since we have one about lights, let's just go ahead and vent. I hate those directional islands that only allow you to enter a business from a right hand lane. I also despise those center islands that force you to drive 1/4 mile, and make a u-turn to get to a business on the left hand side of the road. Traffic engineers need them stuck up their asses.

    So...

/they've had six years to work together. All they did was stall and bawl.
  21. If they had already proceeded into the intersection, the gate would be behind them.
  22. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I think that we should include obese couch potatos, who spend the majority of their day on websites filled with BS. Think of the amount of potatos used to make chips, that we could save and send to starving people in Darfur. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It looks like a good book. I was being a wiseass, pointing out the amount of time people actually waste doing nothing. Honestly, If the leftist, socialists in this country had their way, that's exactly where they would take it. We already discard millions of unwanted children without a second thought.
