You mean like telling people that most manufactured food products are pure garbage will cause them to want to plant a garden. Right. This nation is filled with people who truly believe that their personal welfare is not their responsibility. It is going to take an awakening of some kind, whether personal or national before we get a grasp on any of these problems. I do find it ironic that we have come to the reality that tobacco is a dangerous product, and have decided to legislate it out of existence, but shrug our shoulders at the debauchery that has caused the aids epidemic. I could think of a hundred analogies about trying to hide the symptoms while never addressing the cause of a problem.

From the attitude presented in previous threads, self control is something that is totally foreign to the human mind, especially when it comes to the idea of abstinance until marriage. How antiquated!

I know you're not talking to me. I said rape is worthy of the death penalty. I have a job trailer with about $20,000 worth of carpentry tools. I have a ball lock, a tongue lock , and heavy padlocks on the doors, just in case I have to drop it on a job site and leave it. If I take no effort to secure my tools, and they get stolen, who's fault is it? Slime balls are everywhere, and I hold the final responsibility for my own well being.

A woman who goes into a bar full of men wearing a short skirt, with little to nothing underneath, lets it all hang out, which, by the way, didn't just happen, and flirts with men she barely knows, is no different than the person driving a new Mercedes with $1000 wheels, and parks it unattended on the seedy side of town, or the person who decides to get money from an ATM at midnight next to some raucous night club.

How many ignorant or indifferent parents allow their children to ride bicycles, rollerblades,or skate boards with no protection? A concusssion can kill you. At least, in AFF they do not advance you until they know that you are able to save your own life.

I was just pulled over approaching a major intersection at 60mph in a 45. The light had just turned green. He was on me like....... Cost $183 but he told me that I could take the safe driving course on line, get 18% knocked off the ticket, which is about the cost of the course, and not get any points on my liscense. Just look up Fl. driving schools.

You are more than likely subservient to someone somewhere, and chances are that they are no better or worse than you as a human. Following Christ does not mean that you have to be anybody's door mat. Don't think for a minute that as a Christian I have a responsibility to go to New Orleans and rebuild someone's house, while they sit on their fat ass watching me. Ain't gonna happen!

First off, let me say that I am sorry for your circumstances. Is there no family, friends, or community around to lighten your load? If your situation is as desperate as it sounds, why can't you get gov. assistance? Now, if you have become elevated and enlightened, what are you doing on here starting arguments? The problem with the whole pacifist mentality is this:All you have to eat is tomatoes. Along comes someone who can work, but thinks the world owes him something just because he exists, and suddenly has a hankering for a tomato sandwich.So he takes your tomatoes. If you are not divine, you will be pissed. There goes your pacifist philosophy.

Agreed. A senior who can't add a column of numbers, or do multiplication or long division isn't educated. At some point we actually have to decide that letting machines do everything for us is not good. In the year 2525 if man is still alive.... Every morning should be started with a serious exercise program. No excuses. Fires up the metabolism. Eliminate all chemically created foods from the school system. If it takes a dictionary to figure out what it is, you shouldn't be eating it. Sounds like getting back to the basics of life is the direction to go. Of course, we have parents who despise these attitudes and values, and will sabotage them at every turn. Fat adult, fat child, fat dog.

There seems to be very traffic on the streets, so it must have been done about 5:00AM. The roads look relatively flat. Bullitt was kickass, and far more intense.
