  1. Thank you for the info! It is nice to hear you saw results so quickly! I have a high deductible, but an MRI a couple of moths ago took care of that. So, luckingly this will be coverd by insurance.
  2. That is great to hear. Thanks! I'm glad you knee is doing better! If you don't mind me asking, how soon after the first injection did you start to feel better?
  3. In an effort to postpone some nasty knee surgery, my doc had prescribed a course of Synvisc (Gel Shots). I have read some pretty mixed reviews on Synvisc. So, I was just wondering if anyone here has had any experience with it and, if so, how did it go. Thanks!
  4. Ouch indeed!! Are your daughters old enough to work? My cousin always had to contribute to the cost of the program and also bring her own spending money. But, she was lucky enough to be an only child of wealthy parents. So, the cost was not really an issue for them. Having her contribute was more a way to teach her some responsibility. Good luck with the decision. You'll have to let us know how it turns out!
  5. My cousin did the Australia trip, also ones to China, South Africa, Ireland, and various other places in Europe. She had a wonderful time on each trip. From what I understand it is a very reputable organization. I was signed up for one of their programs to the USSR when I was in high school, but it was cancelled when the USSR suddenly ceased to be. Your daughter will learn a lot and have a blast if you allow her to go.

Luckily, I have plenty of wine, beer and water on hand here as our county commissioners have issued a curfew. We can't leave our homes from 11pm this evening till 6am Wednesday morning (unless it is for an emergency).
  7. I loved it too! Did not expect to either!
  8. Happy Birthday Sara!!!!!!!!! Looking forward to celebrating with you on Saturday!!!
  9. You're having your leg pulled (sort of). It was voted on 2 July. But, it was not signed for the first time until 4 July (and then only by one person John Hancock). The rest of the congressional delegates did not sign it until 2 August.

I'd prefer Barry's but, I find PG Tipps and Typhoo in most grocery stores, even found them in an Ace Hardware one time. If you have a World Market, give that a shot they have great selection.
  11. Terro has a spray that works wonderfully too! Just spent $15 on a supply of all sort of terro stuff today. I HATE ants!!!
  12. This is a big event in her life and definitely gift worthy. As someone else said, it is not necessary to give a religious gift at all. In Ireland, we generally give a monetary gift. Then the kids get to go shopping at a later date and pick out what they'd like. 25 years ago I bought a stuffed bunny for myself and a stuffed lamb for my sister (she was three)...she still has her lamb!
  13. I use this stuff: http://brands2liveby.com/product.aspx?id=369 It works really well. I'm a mosquito magnet too, not a good thing when you live on the edge of the Everglades!!! For me, bites are usually itchy for around week. So, I usually always have this stuff with me. If it gets really bad, I take some benadryl too.
  14. But, if you install those self closing drawers they have in kitchens now, you'll be all set!
  15. I vote for 7 too! Fantastic!
  16. Six Packs by Due Now ?? ETA: found it here http://www.rockpulse.co.uk/duenowreview.html
  17. Nope, mine all died before I was born. But, I've heard plenty of stories and sometimes feel as though I knew them. I do have an aunt who is almost 20 years older than my mom. She is sort of a substitute grandmother. And growing up, I had an "adopted granny" down the street. Both are/were wonderful!!!
  18. Beautiful!!! I love Sarah McLachlan and that prayer has been my favorite since I was a child. When I finally made it to Assisi when I was in college, I think I bought about 5 things with the words printed on it!
  19. I'm not!! I did not realize it was today until I went to the store earlier and saw the large assortment of football shaped chocolate cakes!! Wonder what I'll watch instead...
