  1. It certainly seems that Iraq is back to normal. Year US Deaths 2003 486 2004 849 2005 846 2006 822 2007 901 Hey sir, when you get a war where spit wads and nerf balls are the ammo you will have a point!! Kallend was simply stating that the war shouldn't have fallen out of topic since deaths are still high, he wasn't talking means of fighting, as you are attemptng to morph. It is all about context. More died in training camps for WW2. Death count is a pointless meaningless emotional statement. Quite simple really Tht should sooth all who lost family and friends..... see the remark to Neal
  2. damn the "double STFU back" I stand correcteed and will now.........STFU Me too I'm about sick of the sarcasm from you two, both of you STFU!!! It's inapropriate Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to STFU and go to the gym
  3. Are you referring to the "compassionate conservative" who would not engage in nation building? W. misrepresented himself plenty in 2000. By 2004, he had already demonstrated total incompetence, so it's more difficult to understand how he got more than a dozen or so votes nation wide. Altho I wholly agree with you, compassionate conservatism is just a slogan so guys like Livendive and lawrocket can pretend they aen't voting for hard-core Nazis. I think we all really knew what he was about and few are shocked ny his war hobby, tax cuts for the rich and subsequent increasing of the debt by what will be 4.5 trillion bucks or so. Therefore he was/is as advertised.
  4. Exactly, when you vote to deprive poor people from medical care, it is well deliberated, I'm sure If I ever see a resolution to "deprive poor people of medical care", I promise to vote against it. Blues, Dave Becuase your side won't package it that way, they claim personal responsibility and how it's not the duty of gov to pay for............. bla, bla, bla........ ultimately, yes, you vote against poor people to get medical care via the maggots you elect.
  5. damn the "double STFU back" I stand correcteed and will now.........STFU Me too
  6. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>I'm personally not a big fan of the president either, but regardless of whether or not we like him things in Iraq have changed drastically, and believe it or not the surge was a huge help in moving things in the right direction. I really wonder if things have changed, whatever changes will be temp or perm, and if it really matters to how people address/remember the war. People get desensitized after a time and move on while the BS continues. The question as to why people seem to not be bringing it up is best answerd by the severe economic times on the horizon, IMO.
  7. Are you stuck? SHow your true colors, how many dead innocents are OK?
  8. Prove your numbers. Not even the Soros Lancet study was that high. That really is a silly request, since no one at all can PROVE any of the numbers given the uncertainties involved. There are high and low estimates, and the truth is probably somewhere in between. Agreed - but he certainly had no qualms throwing numbers out there. So what number of dead and maimed Iraqi women and children is acceptable to you as collateral damage from US actions? Wow, another strawman from the Professor... how unsurprising. Well, for a guy who has no issue with the US killing 300,000 women and kids in WWII Japan, considering the population numbers then and now, I would think 2M innocent collaterals would be OK.
  9. Uh, I praise troops. This war is a POS led by a POS president who was voted in by the most moronic POS Americans. The troops who get injured, die or just serve in this war are NO DIFFERENT than WWII troops, revolutionary war troops, etc.... The sacrifice is the sacrifice, even if enough idiots elect a criminal to lead us into a POS war, it's all the same to the troops. Find where I've stated otherwise.
  10. And your posts are sooooo helpful and educational? I posted early on why perhaps the war has fallen off as the #1 issue, yet you have failed to address it, but insist on addressing my other posting. Have you posted anything on topic?
  11. Meh, Lucky is just a troll. It's best to just laugh at it. I'm a troll and you're a Bushy turd; at least we can all aree on something.
  12. How bout you understand that I don't do that. I was in the military for 1 term and think the troops are great, just the politicians that absolute idiot garbage elects are the problem.
  13. Ya know what . . . right now I'm pretty pissed off that this stupid fucking war has been the cause of death of SEVERAL of my friends. I don't really give a shit what you think. Then perhaps you should refrain from posting in these type of threads until you have yourself under control, given your position in this sub-forum. You're a joke
  14. It certainly seems that Iraq is back to normal. 15. He wasn't addressing the argument, just the timing; reading is fundamental.
  16. This is great news... We are turning the corner The enemy is on the run.. We will win this thing in the next six months Don't forget, better fight it there than here.....
  17. Exactly, when you vote to deprive poor people from medical care, it is well deliberated, I'm sure
  18. really? it couln't have been people voting for what appeared to be teh lesser of two evils? I can't assume the purpose for people voting whichever way they do, all I can do is to read the vote and realize that there are lots of stupid voters out there. I base this on 2 things: 1) Bush advertised who he was and hasn't lied about that. 2) The results are what we could have expected, both on election and reelection. To assume Gore and/or Kerry wold have been worse is just that and we can't logically hide behind voting for a total loser by rationalizing we were just trying to kee another guy out. Hell, you could have voted for Nader, which some claim is what happened to teh first election when some Nader voters strayed from Gore. It would have the same effect, or perhaps 1/2 the effect, but ultimately the same outcome. A vote for Bush is just that, a vote for Kerry is just that, a vote for Gore is just that; quit rationalizing for stupid people, as I'm sure YOU didn't vote for Bush, right?
  19. Could it be that the economy and impending recession are taking the stage? There are so many things to worry about, so I would like to appalogize for all liberals for not bashing Bush or slamming his war-hobby. I just wonder how Viet Nam was, I wonder if there was a level of apathy after it dragged on for so long. Let's analize Bush's accomplishments needing of worry: 1) Iraq 2) Iran potential 3) Recession 4) Doubled house prices and mortgage melddown 5) tripled gas prices 6) 3.9 trillion in debt increase 7) Loss of Constitutional protections / wiretapping / Habeus Corpus / etc 8) Am I forgetting a few? Perhaps you can contrast with other presidents, choose your favorite: Clinton. So maybe we're growing bored with hearing that 20 more kids are killed, perhaps the country is desensitized of it, which is dangerous. Either way, e sure that your last 2 presidential votes were well placed
  20. Hahhahahahaha what a moron. If you change course 360 degrees you end up going the same direction you were before. Idiot. Jason id of the New Jersey Nets did the same thing: We're gonna have a 360 degree turn-around.....
  21. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>So, high voter turnout can be a negative - when people have no idea what the hell they are doing. The last 2 presidential general elections are evidence of that....
  22. its far easier to find instances of the Executive 'stacking the deck' It's even easier to find recent examples of Congress having absolutely no balls whatsoever. Unfortunately under Bush Congress had the balls and Bush did not, 1 veto in 6 years = pathetic. Now they do have balls and his veto pen has found life.
  23. Yet, you're ready to move to one of these other countries. Who's going to hold your hand there? No one holds my hand here, so I will have a much easier time there...... do the math, if you're able.
