  1. Obama was a bit over the top, but he did kindof explain how he was going to pay for things, but lacked details. For me comparing the two the biggest difference was that Obama's speech was about what he would do and why you should vote for him. Palin's was more about why you shouldn't vote for the other side. Precisely. If you have no substance, then you have to devalue the other side's substance.
  2. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>The same man he's always been does not reference McSame as you mean it. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you realize the distinction. No, it means the same as Bush
  3. Shouldn't this thread be entitled: America: where ignorance is enforced.
  4. I sort of doubt that Obama is turning to dropzone.com to look for statistics, and I doubt that he's going to make "fucking with skydiving" a priority of his. Geez, dude, lay off the crack already. Fixed it for ya
  5. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>Interesting. Not that this is reaching out to their way of thinking, but interesting that the speechwriter didn't use Republican references. Certainly there must have been -somebody- the writer could have used? No? Uh......em..... Maybe Eisenhower. And his best quote had to do with watching out fo for the Military Industrial Complex; e.g. neo-cons. Trash since then. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>"Our son, Track, is 19. And one week from tomorrow, September 11 . . . " Really, out of 365 days of the year he's shipping out on September 11? Ok. THAT'S weird. I don't wanna get all conspiratorial or anything and I certainly wouldn't even suggest it's a staged event, but holy crap that's weird. That's all Guliani talked about too. Not once did thet mention healthcare. not that I saw. And their ideas to save the economy were to cut taxes, an idead that has worked well for Reagan/Bush/Bush. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>"I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a community organizer, except that you have actual responsibilities." Nice dig at Obama, but of course meaningless in the long run. Obama still has infinitely more international experience than she does or have we all forgotten that whole Berlin speech from last month where he actually had people in a foreign country cheering for the US rather than burning flags? Not to mention, the right keeps saying how Obama has no leadership experience since he is in the Senate; where is McCain's leadership experience? He's a senatorial guy too, being held in a VN prison doesn't make you a leader, it makes you a prisoner. I think she looked Brash, as Obama didn't use cutting tactics to this degree.
  6. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Even pinko socialists get my respect. Sure, they are often lacking in thought, and have a belief in responsibility for everyone else that is, in my opinion, downright religious, I don't have to agree with them. Xan't even stay on-topic. And those neo-con types......... compassion of a serial killer...........
  7. I'm impressed, I can't dissassemble mine that fast.
  8. Wow, a cute girl who can assemble a rifle? If she was just a little bit older, she'd be on the ticket with McCain right now! (Just kidding, people!) Well, no, she would have to be old enough to have a daughter that was pregnant
  9. He really did not. So the thumpers were going with Obama?
  10. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>I worked for a police department- trust me- they are looking for people to avoid the checkpoint. That is reason enough alone to pull you over. Not statuted reason, just the way they do it, which is illegal. >>>>>>>>>>>>As far as getting the knife back- I highly doubt it. I would assume that they did not collect it as evidence- so it probably went into one of thier pockets. And I'm sure they're not going to own up to it. Right, I had a pigger keep my driver's license in a heated exchange. Pigs are pigs.
  11. >>>>>>>>>>Heh, "check pint" What took yoiu so long to find the spelling error....you're slipping.
  12. They do need PC to pull you over. Just because it wasn't stated doesn't mean they didn't have it, but let's be real, they didn't have it.
  13. I'm sure birdman will pipe in as if he knew this. Pat you down = reasonable suspicion, lowest of all the standards of proof. Terry v Ohio stated the officers can pat outer garments for officer safety. The Chimmel buble allows them to search a bubble area around the driver's seat where he could have stashed things. I've had pigs just search, I complain, they say stay the fuck out of the way, after done I tell them I gave them no permission and pigger says he will testify that I did. Pigs = trash.
  14. Pigs = trash.... but remember, it's the system that ensures their that way even if they weren't that way as hired. Hate the game, not the player.
  15. I agree, and I also agree that it doesn't sound like Palin was examined very thoroughly before McCain made his choice. I think it was a desperate move to secure the evangelical vote, without much thought as to whether she was capable of running the country if she has to. (And hypocritical, after using the inexperience thing to bash Obama.) Right, and the thing was, he already had the thumper vote, he needed the moderate swing vote.
  16. >>>>>>>>>>>>>You are under just as much burden to somehow "prove" that Obama's reticence is due to his having "class" as I am to prove that it's due to his knowing that he doesn't need to say personally say anything in order to benefit from the smearing that will probably be done by other Dem pundits. No I'm not. I give people the benefit of class until "proven"otherwise. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>Why can't you note that I never said it's NOT because he has class, I said that it COULD JUST AS EASILY BE because of what I said? Do you mean to say it's becuase you never said he didn't have class? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>You STATED that he remained quiet because of class. You did not say, "Hmmm, maybe he's quiet about this because he has class." Now that is semantic. The guy has demonstrated class and has class by all accounts I've seen, can you show otherwise by observing his actions, hearing soundbites, etc? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>Now you attempted to flip this around and make it seem that I was the one who was making unequivocal assertions. You make inferrences that he isn't a classy guy, I simply disagree.
  17. And if he left a gun under his car seat and a criminal stole it, he is not responsible for what the criminal does now with the gun. THANK YOU. Probably not, could be criminal or civil negligence, but your attemot to draw an analogy is way off.
  18. Ridiculous. I'm anti-abortion, but pro-choice. I think abortions indicate a gross amount of irresponsibility, other than abortions to save the mother's life. But the key is, do we legislate the right to have an abortion or legislate the prohibition of same? the correct stance is to leave it up to the states AND have NO federal funding of abortion clinics. Yea, probably. Altho I want to limit states rights and am for centralized gov, as lomg as the fed controls the legality of it, the states can do what they want..... I guess.
  19. Speaking of a real hoot, that's definitely a big one, given that you don't list jump info, yourself. Even I have more shown than you do. I have 208 jumps, they're all logged (a fair number also on my Pro-Track) and I even have posted some queries recently in the *gasp* SKYDIVING FORUM on this site!! Obviously this does not constitute proof, but given that you don't provide any about yourself, it's really really odd that you would cast that stone. Based on my outspoken nature, I stay as private as one can in this age. I'm a tandem instructor. No comment on my Bush pictures?
  20. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>YOU are the one who keeps claiming that this is codified in the System. It's not. You keep failing to show that it is. I don't keep doing it, I intially wrote something like, 'the rich write the laws that benefit them and fuck the poor' >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Whether it's about paying more or just using fame to his advantage, doesn't matter. Same difference, really. But you still are not showing that the system "has different rules" for these guys. This kind of thing is aberrant, and I cannot explain it as I did not follow the issue. If I knew it to be true, and there was no rational, medical-needs-based explanation for it, I'd be just as tee'd off as you evidently are. This is becoming boringly circular. It is my opinion that there are several shades of rules that get enforced selectively. Your opinion is that everyone gets the exact same, which is really a doctrine for Communism if true. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>..Simple solution: DON'T DO THE FUCKIN' CRIME. And you refuse to address the matter of Procedural Due Process vs Substandtive DP. Isn't that kinda chicken? Oh, here's a guy that follwed the law, a white guy, mid 30's, had 2 trials where the jury trash convicted both times before the defendant's family got the judge to look past the p[rosecutor's whining and the judge ordered the DNA be tested. Came back and the jude had to throw out the case. http://www.cbc.ca/fifth/raykrone.html Of course you won't address that. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Just proof that the guy made the right choice by stickin' to it at school, going to college, and getting a good job and earning a good living, rather than thinking he's gonna be the next big rapper or B-ball star... I agree, all the inner-city kids born to crack mothers...you know, fuck em, they're not even human. Look in the mirror.
