  1. Then why do our representatives provide >1/2 trilliion $/yr for coprorate welfare via Miltary indust complex......... kinda fucks your argument when you don't bitch about that too.
  2. Or perhaps use that time to murder a few small animlas and sell their pelts for insurance, then call myself a good person.
  3. >>>>>>>>>>>>Then you have a few options 1) Drop your cell phone and internet, and/or expensive hobbies, and buy decent health care. Between $175 to $300 should do it. Yea, and that will get me HMO care that allows me to pay thousands in co-pays.... NICE. So 300 a month doesn't get me heathcare, just the resemblance of it. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>Or switch jobs, even career fields, to a company who provides full benefits. That provides HMO care that requires huge copays. I really haven;t gotten anywhere from above, have I? Unless I;m some corporate elite, that buys 100% insurance. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Starbucks give medical for all full time and certain part time positions. Let me guess, the co-pays are so hjgh that you could get the same thing off the street for $50 month. BFD. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>2) Or live a healthy lifestyle and don't go to doctor except in major medical situations. Save money every month, or buy a major medical plan... Yea, I could live every second for corporate America. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>.So see the solution to your problem is quite simple. You'd like to make it a complex social issue but it truly is not. Yea, simple issue, yet 50 million Americans aren't that smart, according to you. Love it, not a complex issue, yet the 2nd or 3rd most compelling issue in the US. BRILLIANT!!! Isn't that what McSame said about the economy, people are just whiners? I'm sure he got the same support from that as youjust did, 20% agree, 80% vomit. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.Personal responsibility,.... Never got a job from a poor guy, better there than here......I didn't realize we were to the rhetoric phase of our argument. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>If you truly feel you are owed medical care then please explain who hurt you/gave you an illness and lets go find them and make them pay for your treatment. Owed. Whatever. It is the duty of a government to care for its people, unless you are a member of the Nazi-fascist, pig-loving US of A. The rest of the industrialized world is wrong and we are right. Given to you by the party that spends as much on the military as therest of the world. FUCKING BRILLIANT.
  4. When leftist, big-government fans want to pass gun bans, they trot out the survivors of those who have been shot to death by criminals who got ahold of guns. Yet when we trot out people (like you, Nomad) who say they have lived how bad government-run health care is to show why it should be opposed, they will dismiss these "anecdotes" as irrelevant. Right, and when the neo-con, blood-thirsty machine wants to convict people, they wave pictures of dead kids. Funny, that's the sort of grave-dancing that the anti-gunners do when they are trying to ban guns! That and the filling a parking lot with empty shoes. Why are you restating the very thing I replied to?
  5. To a point, I guess I'm addressing the intelec, but how many people vote intellectually. But then again my point, that reloegates her to a piece of meat, a cheerleader for the right. Ultimately I do think this was a bad choice, the right needed to seem more moderate, the old fuddies would have gone McSame anyway even w/o her.
  6. No, very typical, neo-cons typically think they are moderate.
  7. But you will now vote for the even more extremist, less flexible party now that it has become more rigid, when you claim that you wanted change You haven't met Tom Aileo (sp)....maybe he went off with Base Zone. Either way, count the times Bill has kicked Me, Amazon and other libs vs neo-cons..... your self-victimization would have teeth if you could make that argument.
  8. The problem is that she's entirely conservative, morso than even McSame, when the Repubs need to appear more liberal and progressive, moderate at the very least. Who did teh R's gain by bringing her in? The old steeped neo-cons? No, they were laready there, they needed the swing and tehy surely lost them.
  9. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>I want change, so I was almost willing to give Obama the benefit of the doubt by just not voting for McCain,... You don't state that were going to vote for Obama, just that you would abstain from voting for McSame due to the desire for change...... Er, I'm voting for McSame cause I want change.
  10. What are her plans for reforming the "angry white guy establishment"? AKA the Republican Party.
  11. Yawn...... Republicans and Libertarians, like 10 degrees apart. Keep the denial going tho....er, uh, ya, I was gonna vote for Obama....HAHAHAHAHAHHHAHAHAH
  12. Love how you amuse yourself, never share as to why. Wait, not real important.....
  13. It's gotta be partisan. Since Obama was an admitted "cokehead," it's difficult to tell who exactly Lucky hates. Same with "neo-con." Just another buzzword from CNN. I support McCain-Palin. Therefore, according to Lucky, I'm a neo-con. So cokehead isn't really a cokehead, it's just a name for somebody he doesn't like. And neo-con isn't really a neo-con, it's just someone that doesn't agree with Lucky. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>And neo-con isn't really a neo-con, it's just someone that doesn't agree with Lucky. No, neo-con is the new conservative, the one that wants to pretend he's a fiscal conservative as with Eisenhower, but is really the biggest trainwrteck in history. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>So cokehead isn't really a cokehead, it's just a name for somebody he doesn't like. No, it's the hypocrisy from the right, as they pretend to want to eliminate drugs and the scoundrels that use them, while hittin the pipe.
  14. You really seem to be hung up on the 'cokehead' thing... Does that opinion apply across the board? Or is it just a partisan thing? From the party of pseudo morality, WAR ON DRUGS, as their running them, it really carries an idiotic ring.
  15. Every time someone makes a claim like this, and wants to tout someone's "experience," I want to shake them and say, "Well, HOW FUCKING WELL ARE THINGS BEING RUN WHERE THEY ARE FROM?!" I mean really, who here comes from a town or city or county or state our country that they feel is just hunky-dory, everything just chipper, everyone has all they need, there are no problems, and the government is doing a fine job?! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>Every time someone makes a claim like this, and wants to tout someone's "experience," I want to shake them and say, "Well, HOW FUCKING WELL ARE THINGS BEING RUN WHERE THEY ARE FROM?!" That's because you don't convince anyone with your spelling rants, followed by denial of the same, then people, virtually everyone disagreeing. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.I mean really, who here comes from a town or city or county or state our country that they feel is just hunky-dory, everything just chipper, everyone has all they need, there are no problems, and the government is doing a fine job?! How many here live in a country that matches the world in basic military expeditures, yet deprives its people of basic medical care?
  16. I wouldn't talk if I were you. The way you do it, you first reproduce the entire post, and then re-reproduce the lines you're addressing as a totally separate thing. Talk about wasting bandwidth! Now, here's a free hint: Generally he's at least hitting "reply," at least, if not "quote," so you can always whack that little clicky that says "[in reply to]" and it'll take you to what he's replying to. It's a little out of the way, but it works. Like Magic! I may waste bandwidth, but there is no ambiguity as to what I'm replying to, as I want people to know, unlike.....

  18. >>>>>>>>>>Oh, god, do you really think that counts as an attack or a dig at someone's grammar? I simply expressed a request that we "all" stop using a very overused word that really should not be used in the form in which it is commonly used (mostly by news people, these days). That's hardly the kind of stupid picking-on-someone's-"fat-fingered-mistake". Do you think that nerdgirl took offense, or felt demeaned by my request? I hope she'll respond here about this. I'd like to know what she made of that post. I never called it a PA, just that you are the grammar Nazi. >>>>>>>>>>>>>You just keep hitting new lows in your effort to make me look bad. And you keep hitting new highs in looking bad
  19. I've lived in the South Pacific countries for short times, don't know the care. My current coverage sucks......it's non-existent.
  20. Love how you reply and not quote, that way others don't see what you're supposed to be responding to. You claim Clinton had no foreign experience, I statd that he was a Rhodes Scholar. BTW, Clinton was agreat ambassador, unlike your boy. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Palin was picked to SHORE up the conservative base because JSM isn't very popular with it as compared to previous RNC candidates. Let's see, if I'm McSame, I know I have the neo-cons locked up, even if they don't like him he is the lock-stepped choice, so I want the moderates and swings, so I get someone way more moderate. But no, mental lapse, he gets someone waaaaay more neo-conish that he is.
  21. Don't you know, the liberals' answer is that the conservatives stood in the way of all the good the liberals would have accomplished if given a free hand! Every failure of the liberals to use big government to solve all of the citizens' problems and take care of them from cradle to grave is laid at the feet of anyone who wouldn't let the liberals with their genius ideas take the reins and get everything fixed and humming along in harmony and perfection. In fact, it's a perfect parallel for gun control! Gun control fails to control crime and criminals; but it's only because we've stood in the way of the liberals instituting strong enough gun control! Big government, it is your candidates who have spent us into oblivion, I would think prudence would be to can the ole, "tax-n-spend liberals" rhetoric.
  22. Your right... private investment, corporations, and small business are useless. No of these things provide jobs in the country. Yep, all or nothing. Could balance and reasonable spending be in order?
  23. Do you even know what this country spends its money on? The single biggest chunk of spending is on entitlement programs, not including Social Security. As compared to other countries, we have far fewer social svs. Love the term, "entitlement programs," bte you don't use if for military contractors who receive the same.
  24. Riiiiiiiiiight... because I find it respectful to salute the flag that relegates that gesture as being my exclusive means of supporting our soldiers. Nice logical argument. Every time I salute the flag I think about how proud I am of things like the conditions at Walter Reed, or the shoddy work of contractor over in Iraq. Following the same logic I am sure that all of the people who refuse to salute the flag or stand at attention are doing so to make a political statement, and they are huge supporters of our servicemen overseas. Or they could just be disrespectful punk kids whose parents told them they were super one too many times... It wouldn't be possible to seperate the two, you couldn't possibly show respect, and disagree with the direction that things are going in our country. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Riiiiiiiiiight... because I find it respectful to salute the flag that relegates that gesture as being my exclusive means of supporting our soldiers. Right, you do. Furthermore, this isn't about the troops, whom I have the utmost of respect for, this is about the leaders of the country and the ill direction they are taking us. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Following the same logic I am sure that all of the people who refuse to salute the flag or stand at attention are doing so to make a political statement, and they are huge supporters of our servicemen overseas. Yep, that's me. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>It wouldn't be possible to seperate the two, you couldn't possibly show respect, and disagree with the direction that things are going in our country. That's the cornerstone to dissent, the kind that supported the Boston Tea Party, the Revolutionary War and many civil rights acts. Showing respect is silly symbolism anyway, regardless of how you feel.
  25. Perhaps you could explain why it's such a big deal if someone else chooses to not salute the flag, or stand for our national anthem? What does their response have anything to do with your patriotism? Further more, to what extent should one expect fellow citizens to participate in 'patriotic behavior'? This Much? I, myself, have no problem with it either way. If you want to salute, place your hand over your heart, stand on one leg, remain seated, wear american flag boxers, whatever. Thinking everybody should do it, if for no other reason than they 'owe it' to somebody else, just isn't a very good reason for me. .jim Because Jim, it is a zero effort activity that shows respect for others. Along the same lines why should you say thank you, hold doors for people, say bless you, excuse yourself, etc etc... Or you can just be a self absorbed punk... Either way, the people that you honor with a simple effortless jesture defended this country, and you rights, without any thought to your political allegance or ideals. Since they selflessly did this for you maybe you can show them the same respect. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Because Jim, it is a zero effort activity that shows respect for others. To me it's disrespectful to compell a person to engage in some silly ritual or be deemed all fucked up. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Along the same lines why should you say thank you, hold doors for people, say bless you, excuse yourself, etc etc... Not the same things. I intentionally refuse to stand for anthems because I disagree with the direction of this country, if I agreed, I would love to show respect in many ways. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Or you can just be a self absorbed punk... Or you can just be an angry controller. >>>>>>>>>>>>>Either way, the people that you honor with a simple effortless jesture defended this country, and you rights, without any thought to your political allegance or ideals. Since they selflessly did this for you maybe you can show them the same respect. Many of them were drafted and didn't want to be here. Furthermore, if they died for the Constitution and associated freedoms, that would include the freedom to dissent, one that you refuse to respect.
