  7. Why wouldn't the corporations just pass along the tax hikes making everything more expensive? What would keep healthcare costs from continuing to increase? There will be limits and cost controls for various operations/claims. Mostly, there will be reasonable caps, so jacking up costs won't help. While everyone is going out of business, the medical field is still doing well.

I've proposed this before; spending and taxation have no relationship other than bond measures. - Reagan raised spending and cut taxes - GHWB cut spending and raised taxes - Clinton cut spending and raised taxes - GWB raised spending and cut taxes. If anything, there is an inverse relationship between taxes and spending. And as well, I'm SURE massive overspending on the military as we now have is no problem. And if they do decide to put a tax increase in the HC Bill for people who hold real high-dollar insurance policies, that's a tax on the rich, they should get used to it as they are going to be raining in regardless of the HC Bill. Just as Clinton had 3 major goals, if not more, uni-care, education availability and raise taxes on the rich. He did 2 of 3 regardless of the others. YOU will not be taxed 1 penny for the HC Bill and you may at one time be advantaged by it.

I see, the entire mess started with Reagan jacking the debt from 900B to 5.5T by slashing taxes and overspending before GHWB and Clinton could tax us back into order, of course we were at 5.5T by then. Then GWB and the predominantly Republican Congress slashes taxes and overspends to double that mess and excuseme how is that the Dem's fault? The best congressional years were from 89 to 94 whne those horrible tax increases and spending cuts were undertaken, so again, how is this the fault of the Dems?

Objetive means there is no slant, what you mean to say is that some of the financial data is an estimate, so it isn't reliable, has 0 to do with the bias that goes into interpreting the data. Now, which data is an estimate? And whatever data you claim is an estimate, how is it off and or far off?

Look at Senator Arlen Specter, the party was going too nuts for him so he bailed, but show me other Republicans considering that. They simply operate off of a protocol that is unusual and then defend it with flip-flop rhetoric when asked why they don't change / evolve.

I predict that the Republican Party, even with opposition to Single Payer Health Care, will eventually see that this IS GOING TO HAPPEN, regardless of their position - at which time, they will jump on board, write a bill, pass it then claim that THEY were the ones that brought it to the American Public.... Reasonable theory, but I think they will fight it, it will pass, at least some form of it, and they will look for the flaws and exaggerate all the harm of the Democrat-sponsored Bill/Law and use this as the basis forr their subsequent elections.
