    I was an asshole when we started dating. I never put her first, and was a selfish dickwad. Now we're married, and I'm back to my normal self. For a large part of my life I was just like you. I was the good friend to many beautiful girls, many I would have loved to date. Unfortunately, they didn't see me that way. It's like Sam Kinison said: "Friends huh? So I have to listen to your stories and put up with your bullshit, but we don't fuck??? Is that pretty much how it works?" Anyway, I still had some girls as friends, but never one I was physically attracted to. I guess I turned the tables. I had female friends who liked me, but I wasn't interested.     Any wealthy company or family that can trace their prosperity back to slave labor owes the decendents of their slaves a huge chunk of money.     Have you considered getting your amateur radio license instead of running an illegal amplifier? It's fairly simple to get, and once you upgrade to general class you can talk all over the world with 50 watts on 14 MHz.     I personally never worry about knife carry laws. Unless you stab someone or rob the market, there's no problem. If it's packed away in your backpack nobody will bother you.     Did you ever play other sports or do something requiring decent depth perception with success? People with abnormal or low depth perception can develop a different way of perceiving depth that standard eye tests cannot interpret or register. If you REALLY want to skydive, and you have been able to adapt to other activities (sports, driving, etc) don't let this stop you.     Absolutely. But the odds of them being well adjusted teens/young adults go down quite a bit when faced with such behavior by their mother.     I need to 'vent my angst', just like the forum description says. The whole contact thing...ugh. I don't want to lose connection with her kids, I am their aunt, and I may need to fulfill a positive female role in their lives (as much as I can be, y'know? I am no wonder-woman, but maybe they'll see that women don't HAVE to behave that badly to be validated). I already don't spend much time with them at all. They will need a woman to talk to especially in their teen years if momma doesn't get her act together. I don't want them to feel alienated because of their psycho momma. They are already in psychological counseling. I have a very bad feeling that those kids are doomed.     When I was in the Navy, a sailor in port in Turkey took a leak on a statue of Ataturk. For those of you who don't know, Ataturk is revered in Turkey, as he brought the country into the 20th century in so many ways. Every building in the country has a picture of Ataturk on the wall. Police had to stop the locals from killing the sailor right there on the spot. In reality, it was not a political statement, or intended as disrespect. The sailor was hammered and stood behind the statue to relieve himself. He didn't even know who Ataturk was.
