    As an alternative way of easing suffering, I say it is a great option - especially in terminal patients. If someone is dying, and pot makes them feel better and suffer less, who are we to deny them freedom from pain? There is an epidemic of undertreated or untreated pain in the USA because doctors live in fear of being prosecuted for prescribing to someone possibly using illicitly.     But it is your business how much others give? So I guess it is no ones business how much you give, UNLESS you are considered "rich" then it is everyone business. That is correct - when applied to fair taxation. Private gifts are nobody's business. Taxes are different. Cool. So what's your tax bracket?

    True, we would do the same. (as we are doing) The problem is, it is nearly impossible to defend against the kind of attacks that we face in Iraq over the long term. Ask any security expert and he will confirm. I have taken courses in personal security given by top terror experts(my job can require travel to bad regions of the world), and one of the major points has been that with enough time and study, any know defensive measures can be overcome. For instance, if the enemy knows you upgraded your armor, they use a bigger bomb.(or EFP's from Iran) There are many, many historical examples of this. -------------------------- Chuck Norris doesn't do push-ups, he pushes the Earth down.

    Presidents almost never fire these guys during their terms. They fire them right at the start. These were Bush's people and were fired to make way for Rove's buddies and other BS reasons. Also, an end run was made around congressional oversight with that piece of shit Patriot Act.     Say you want to buy some coke in this cashless world. You and your dealer get together and go to the local pizza shop, who is a willing accomplice. You buy 25 pizzas, which don't really exist. Then the coke dealer sells the pizza shop 350 lbs of flour for $1500 (which does not exist) The pizza shop, which has organized crime connections, keeps a 10% surcharge for facillatating the transaction, the dealer gets paid, and the addict gets his fix. The difference? The mob's cut got bigger.     This can never be allowed to happen. What about yard sales and flea market type sales? Why should you be forced to pay a tribute to VISA to spend your hard earned dollar (or Frank/Pound/Deutchmark)? In the USA there would be currency printed by underground organizations to use for illicit and private sales. Imagine the chaos that would cause. Yes, I use debit for almost everything, but I did make a pledge to try to use more cash. I spend less when I see it in cash. Your mind is made up because Professor Limbaugh's "Advanced Conservative Studies" EIB Network has told you what to think about this issue. And there was no personal attack. A personal attack is saying something like "You are a dickhead." And I would NEVER say that to you. The best we can hope for, I guess, is that we are ALL worng. That would teach everyone a valuable lesson....     I think maybe a different approach to global warming could help get more people on board. Maybe press the points about pollution and contamination. At the same time, take most of the science out of the argument and approach the conservatives in a religious and common sense way. Tell them that pollution and contamination will kill wildlife and fish, so their hunting and fishing will suffer(I hunt and fish). Tell them that smog in the urban areas is hurting their kids. Get them onboard with land conservation by promoting things they like to do on the land - outdoor activities and recreation. I think you can ask anybody if they want more pollution and chemicals in the ground and water, they will say "no." It just seems like a good starting point with much less deviciveness than global warming, with the same end result.
